Royal Dance Works. What can I say about Royal Dance Works? Royal Dance Works has been my home away from home for the last 13 years and it means everything to me. It's my favorite place to be and I couldn't imagine dancing at another studio. I started out in a combination class at 4 years old and I enjoyed it, but ultimately it was just something I did once-a-week because my mom wanted me to. But as the years went on, I started to develop my own passion for dance and with all credit going to Royal, my love for dance and the studio continues to grow. I started taking some more classes and here I am today, an honored 10-year member of Royal's Performance Company. The studio is by far the best in the area and exceeds all standards and expectations. The director, Carole Royal, has been in the dance business for over 35 years and has the most experience and knowledge to make Royal Dance Works the best place it can be. Royal was named #1 Dance Studio in Arizona by Dancer's Magazine. The studio is tightly connected with the professional industry which provides top-notch education quality for the dancers. Royal's alumni has done incredible things, not just in the dance world, but in life itself. Whether you are looking for a beginning combination class for a young child or a top competitive team, Royal has it all. The rooms are spacious and clean, just like the overall facility. They always offer a healthy and safe learning environment. The lounging area is comfortable and has free Wi-Fi which allows to students and parents to work. The people are friendly and welcoming. Their teachers are attentive and compassionate, as well as motivating and inspiring. They encourage me to perform my best and push me to my full potential as a dancer and a person. Royal and their faculty has given me the confidence to achieve my goals and taught me to always strive to improve and want to be better. I admire my teachers tremendously and look up to them as my role models. Royal Dance Works has taught me so much more than just dance. They have taught me skills that I will carry with me throughout life, such as teamwork, responsibility, and commitment. Royal guides you to being the best person and dancer you can possibly be. I feel privileged to be apart of their Performance Company, which is more than just a team, it is my family. We moved to Royal Dance Works in 2018 for my oldest son, who had dreams of being a professional dancer. We had been to ballet studios for years but both focused on Ballet and Contemporary only and both were very expensive for what classes were given. After 4 years at Royal, my oldest son is now a professional dancer with 2 cruise contracts under his belt and has had numero gigs in Vegas. He is often the youngest dancer as he did not go to college to become a dancer. Royal was so good for him and the caliber of training is high. We know we made the right decision in moving him to Royal. They take dance seriously. Your child will be placed in the appropriate levels based on skill not age or their grades in school. And then with time, you will watch them soar! I can't wait to see where his next contract takes him. My youngest son is also at Royal and taking 8 classes in level 3. I know Royal will move him up when he is ready. As a long time dance mom, I know what happens when kids are moved up based of age and not level... their technique suffers and they struggle to keep up with their peers. Royal cares about the dancers skill and their self esteem. Missy, my youngest son's teacher for a few years now, uplifts the kids so much with her kind words and strong work ethic. Dance isn't about being the best. It's about team work, work ethic, skill, and pushing thru even when it's tough. With that, your child will gain the skills he or she needs. Royal Dance Works is an amazing dance studio! My daughter was 7 when she started dance classes and simple performances. Soon after, she became part of the Royal family. She started with ballet and tap...then added lyrical, contemporary, jazz and hip hop. The options are great....she even enjoyed a couple of years in Musical Theater. The Performance Companies give the dancers opportunities to travel, be competative, creative, and make amazing friends and relationships. My daughter is now 18...and moving on as an accomplished dancer. The teachers are top notch and have impacted her life greatly. The studio is beautiful, friendly and fun. One of the most impressive features of the studio is the feeling of family. Siblings and parents of the dancers are included in certain activities offered... and relationships are made that last a lifetime. I started taking my daughter to Royal Dance Works since she was 4 years old and she loves it here. I absolutly love this studio first of all because when i was looking for a dance studio for my daughter Royal was the only one that ever answered the phone. I tried about 3 other studios and they never returned my calls or emails. When i called Royal with questions, they were very friendly answered all of my questions and told me to bring my daughter in to see if she liked it.We did and We have been going to Royal's for almost 4 years and it is the Best studio. My son started taking classes this year they have great hip hop classes for the boys.The teacher's are Great with the kids they are very professional, they have a very friendly and welcoming staff. My daughter has been dancing at this studio for almost 15 years. She started when she was 3 years old and is now in her final year there. This studio treats you like family and truly cares about your child. Many of their instructors have been there for many years and are extremely talented. The front desk staff are retired dancers and/or parents/grandparents of dancers so it really feels like a family. One of my favorite things about Royal is that while being a very competitive studio in the valley, they are very reasonable with the amount of hours that dancers should be dancing each week. The amount of hours required of your young dancer is very appropriate and then that amount will progress each year as they get older. We have been at Royal Dance for over a decade. This dance studio is fantastic. Royal teaches your child the fundamentals necessary for dance while utilizing age appropriate music and costumes. Many of the teachers have been teaching at Royal for decades, which is very rare to find. Even more rare is that many of the students and families have also been there for years. People stay! Dance is expensive and there are many options in Phoenix, so the fact that this studio has families and instructors that have been there for years speaks volumes. We wouldn't go anywhere else. Royal Dance Works provided an environment where they grew in their confidence with not only dance, but other aspects of their lives. The instructors are educated in their fields of dance. My daughter has been attending Royal Dance Works since she was 3 years old. This is her 8th season at Royal and we love it!! The teachers are all highly trained and most have been there for well over 20 years. Ava has grown as a person and a dancer over the last 8 years. We have been a part of the Royal family for 6 years and we are very pleased! My daughter loves every minute. If she could live there she would! We are there 6 days a week and never have had a day that she didn't want to go to dance. My son is also taking 3 hip hop classes and tumbling. He loves it too! Both kids compete and have a blast! Both of my duaghters have been at Royal for many years. They have loved it and made many long term friendships with other students and teachers. The Dance instruction is top notch. I have always found the staff to be friendly. It can be a very hectic place with up to 5 classes at the same time and this can lead to very little chance to chat with the instructors before or after class. read more
