Really good lunch buffet!! It is $17.55 ($16 plus tax) before tip. They are not strict about the 3pm closing. I would say the latest you could get there and still expect to have the lunch buffet is 2:45. I have gone three times now and the buffet is always different, which I love! I like to be able to try all the different stuff they have. They always have butter chicken and chicken curry though, so you at least have two things you know for sure are going to be there. I really appreciate that their rice pudding doesn't have raisins in it. I also love that they have chai tea as part of the buffet, but if you are dairy sensitive you may not be able to drink it, as it is sitting in the carafe with milk already mixed in. I thought I had posted a review about my favorite Indian restaurant in the valley in the past, but I was mistaken. Anytime travels take me to the west Valley, I come to my favorite Indian restaurant, where the food is always fresh and tasty. I have been coming here for over ten years now, and I've never had a bad meal. Tonight I started with the vegetable samosas, and as usual they were amazing. Crispy and flakey pastry shell stuffed with hot potato and peas mix. Then ordered the alu gobi (potatoes and cauliflower) dish. Fresh and very delicious. Then I ordered the chicken karahi (a wok style chicken dish that is rich in gravy). Spicy and full of flavor. Both the garlic naan and the onion kulcha (onion stuffed bread) were fantastic too. I came by on a Sunday morning around 11:30am. Very welcoming, polite and attentive staff greeted and took care of me during my visit. There was a nice concise selection of dishes including Chicken Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala, Vegetable Korma, Samosas to name a few. I came here to try the lunch buffet. It was great! The service was good. They let you sit wherever you want, then they offer you naan and drinks. And they take away your used plates in a timely manner. The food itself is really really good! Every item is made really well. I especially like and recommend you try their rice dessert. Many places do not make it like this place! The cardamom really pops and makes it taste so wonderful! The inside is clean and quite quiet, with people just enjoying their food or talking at moderately lower volumes. It is quite peaceful. They also have another location which is a sister location, called Taste of India on Ventura blvd, and that location is slightly cheaper, but I prefer to go to this location more. An Indian buffet is not something I usually seek out because it tends to taste all the same. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty the food was. I like that they had split the sections into veg and non veg and they had 5 different types of chicken -- chicken Manchurian (yum Indian Chinese!), chicken tandoori, chicken makhani, chicken curry and chicken tikka masala. Each one better than the other. They gave us fresh naan even before we had gotten our plate of food to our table. The kheer (rice pudding) and gajjar halwa (carrot pudding) was absolutely delicious. And oh my the gulab jamun transported me back to my school days in India. Delicious chai that wasn't sweetened- so you could add your own level of sugar as needed. Great service. I came here on a Sunday with my husband for the lunch buffet. We were seated immediately and started getting food right away. We got the garlic naan which was amazing! Everything was tasty from the buffet but they didn't have Chana which they normally have so that was a bummer. Other than that everything was great. The samosa's were crispy and they even had goat curry. They have a good variety of food and you can go get as many plates as you want. I was full after 2 plates and the naan. It was slightly warm inside with the thermostat at 77° which I didn't love but it wasn't unbearable. There is plenty of parking outside and they have a good amount of tables. Tonight I had some of the best Indian Food in the San Fernando Valley. Royal Delhi Palace is located in an unassuming shopping center. It is spacious and very clean and the servers are friendly and helpful. I ordered samosas to begin my dinner and the pastry was so flaky and light. Combined with two different chutney sauces, it was unbelievably delicious. I ordered Aloo Ghobi and Saag Paneer for my main dishes along with garlic naan. It was medium spice and super delicious. Some restaurants use frozen veggies and you can taste freezer burn but Royal Delhi Palace uses fresh ingredients. I ended my meal with some Kulfi (pistachio flavored) and a nice chai tea. The food is amazing, and the lunch buffet spread is everything you could hope for. The owners are so nice and truly go above and beyond. This time I went with my sisters and grandma, and as we were leaving Paul stopped us and gave us a bag of food to bring to my dad, which was so generous and sweet of him. He's a wonderful person. We recently went to this place to try some Indian food. The food is decent overall. Ordered Gobi Manchurian and Vegetable Korma. Gobi Manchurian is little sweet to our taste also feel like it wasnt covered in batter properly but was crispy and tasted okay. The Vegetable Korma and the Onion Kulcha was yumm, the blend of spices to the cooking of vegetables is next to perfection. However felt that they used frozen veggies in the gravy still tasted good. Onion Kulcha itself was very soft and well cooked at the same time. The service itself was very nice and a small and cozy place with very nice people.
