    Garlic naan and Aloo paratha

Second time at this restaurant and everything is still as delicious as I remember. The people working there are lovely, attentive and very courteous. We tried a few dishes with different protein and they did not disappoint. I will be returning soon to experience the buffet.

Amazing food and the best chicken Tikka I've ever had! A lot of other great food as well which I have shared through the pictures and have very little to gripe about. This place is certainly going to be moved up high on my list when it comes to Indian food desires because they just do it so well.

My husband & I typically eat here several times a month. We either order food to go or we dine in with the AYCE buffet either during the week or on the weekends which is currently $15 per person. The restaurant is family owned and they are very sweet and kind people. The food is always so fresh and tasty. My favorite dishes are the chili chicken and tandoori chicken. I find the chicken tikka masala to be very dry. The flavor of the curry is perfect though. They rotate different types of appetizers like veggie pakoras, samosas and lentil dishes. There's a nice selection of Indian desserts and also includes fresh fruit, chutneys and tea. Typically they rotate between a goat or lamb dish. I'm not a fan of goat. I have tried their lamb and it was very good. All their chicken dishes are very tasty. Their selection is great for both Vegetarian and non vegetarians. I absolutely love the aloo gobi (cauliflower & potatoes) - Their naan is also so good! The restaurant is very casual and family oriented. It's also very clean. Someone is always tending to the buffet counter and making sure it's in has enough food and keeping it clean. They also have an outdoor covered patio with seating. Small parking lot which is shared with several other businesses and street parking. I feel they have the best Indian food in the valley area.

It is no secret that I like foods that present with pulsating colors, intense flavors, vibrant aromas and intoxicating spices. As such, one cuisine (and there are more) that fits the bill is that from India. There are a plethora of restaurants in both the SFV and the Lost Angeles area, mainly centered around Northern cuisine. But tell me, do you know of one that is consistent in its delivery of memorable, hallmark dishes? Yes, there is a place in Canoga Park, called New India Palace. They serve a lunch buffet (11 am to 3 pm) daily, 7 days a week, that is unmatched, anywhere in these environs. It now runs at $14.99 plus tax, very reasonable, I might add, with a delicious selection of mouthwatering dishes. Recently, I found dahi vada (deep fried lentil donuts soaked in yoghurt and topped with chutneys and spices) as one of the selections (never seen that in any Indian buffet). It is one of my favorite Indian appetizers. And that too, it was superbly prepared. Their goat curry with aromatic brown gravy, goes well with the included freshly prepared naan (I chose the garlic version). There is chicken biriyani, pappar (fire roasted lentil and pepper wafers), yellow lentils (their version is fantastic), Saag (spinach) and aloo gobi (cauliflower and potatoes), to name a few. Chili chicken was okay, but the tandoori chicken came out dry, for both my pieces. Either way, this is not a knock down of this place. Overall, their Indian buffet food is the best in the Valley. And what about the service? Nothing short of exceptional.

I was looking for an Indian buffet with a strong variety of chicken dishes and boy did I find it! Along with unlimited hot Chai tea!!!! Upon entering, you will be welcomed by one of three kind elders. They ask how many and hook you up with a table, and then you start your chicken journey! The restaurant is fairly simple. Nice tables and linens, clean silverware, cups for water. By the way, I never went thirsty here. These ladies were always keeping you hydrated! There was a fried cheese ball syrup dessert that astounded me. Everything was perfect! They deliver hot naan (regular or garlic) to your table. And then....just....relax and eat. There's no rush here. Eat your crispy samosas, try all 5 chicken dishes along with the 2 paneer dishes. There's more to choose from, I just focused on these foods for myself :) Experiment, because every combo bite in your mouth is worth it. You pay at the cash register at the end. The price is comparable to most buffets, except the selection is bigger here. And they're always making sure the food is fresh and doesn't sit for too long. This is comfortable place to eat, like coming home for a hot meal. Bring people that know how to be easy, and these ladies will take care of you.

Love this place, it's roughly $15 per person, they have veg and non-veg. You can order take out where you can pack your own container which is the best deal. They also have outdoor seating and free chai.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Parking: 3/5 This restaurant came very close to becoming my 5-star Indian buffet spot. They offer papadum and Ras Malai, which are rare finds in buffets. Most of the other dishes are comparable to what you'd find at other Indian buffets, but the reason I knocked off a star is the Ras Malai. I had high hopes when I saw it, but the taste leaned more sugary than milky, unlike the boxed ones you find at supermarkets. Parking can be a challenge since the lot is small and shared with other businesses. That said, at $15 per person, it's still a great value.

Update: (10/01/24) Food: This is our favorite Go To Indian Buffet either weekday or on weekends. I love all their food selections they offer at the buffet i cluding salads and desserts. The quality is consistent, the best Tikka Massala I've had. It comes with free plain or garlic Naan bread Service: The service is better compared when we first dine in. The ladies are much nicer and accomodating. Ambience: Always clean buffet table, not messy, entire restaurant is neat and spacious. I just wish they had hand santizer in each table though since it is an all you can eat, different peolle touches the serving spoons but it's okay, I always bring my own. They have parking but is limited, so you can park along the street Note: Price has gone up. It is now $14.95/ person.

The building called The Chateau, a giant white colonial office complex on Ventura Blvd. between…read moreWinnetka and De Soto, has always seemed wildly out of place in the San Fernando Valley. But after more than 4 decades, this hulking structure reminiscent of a New England governor's mansion, has finally found its true purpose: to be the home of Lobster Guys, a Maine-style lobster shack now nestled in the Northeast corner of the facade. In contrast to the immensity of the building, Lobster Guys is a cozy shop with just 3 tables inside and a diminutive kitchen cranking out a mid-sized menu of Lobster Rolls, chowders, salads and a few other sandwiches. What little wall space there is has been deftly decorated with pieces of distressed, seaside bric-a-brac, giving the place a real sense of New England. And with the Summer sun streaming through the colonial-style windows, you really forget that you're dining between a Porsche dealer and a Target. They've got both styles of lobster roll available (Maine, cold w/mayo, or Connecticut, warm w/melted butter), as well as a crab roll and a version that's a mix of both crustaceans. All are served on the traditional, flat-sided bun grilled in butter. I opted to have my roll Maine style with the cold lobster salad, and found it to be a generous portion. The structure of those buns makes it easy to rest the lobster on its top, making the sandwich look fuller than it is -- but not here!! Lobster Guys really gives you your money's worth of lobster, and that's even with their prices running about $7 cheaper than what's offered at some of the well-known places in Malibu. The lobster meat was fresh and flavorful; properly cooked, so the texture was pleasing. I found the lobster salad to have a bit too much mayo, but it wasn't enough to ruin the meal. A lady sitting next to me had the warm butter version, and I think I'll try that next time. I added a small side of French Fries, and they were nicely crisped and seasoned, though the ketchup dispenser was almost out, and what emerged was watery -- but, as there was only one person working the entire shop, I decided to forget the ketchup and just enjoy them "naked." They were just fine without it. If you want to dine al fresco, there are a number of tables outside, situated in spaces within the colonnade. Again, if you face towards the building, you'll feel like you're on the East Coast (if you can ignore the traffic on Ventura Blvd. just a few feet away). In the end, while the food and service could use a few tweaks, this is a terrific addition to the neighborhood, and a place to get a really enjoyable bite that's just not that common in this part of the city. Do go!

Since we were completely new to Indonesian cuisine, they patiently answered our questions and gave us great recommendations, which made the experience even better. This is exactly the kind of small business you want to support. The flavors were unlike anything I've had before, and I loved getting to try something so different. My favorite dish was easily the grilled fish. It reminded me of the Filipino grilled fish I grew up eating, so it had a comforting familiarity while still showcasing its own distinct Indonesian flavors. If you're looking for authentic Indonesian food or simply want to try something new, I highly recommend LaaLaaPan. I'll definitely be coming back to explore more of the menu.

The balado wasn't spicy, but the sambal definitely was. I also missed having sambal ijo and some gulai gravy, both of which would have made the plate feel more complete. The bakwan jagung had a similarly homemade style. Depending on your preferences, it will either make you miss your mom's cooking or leave you craving a crispier, restaurant-style bakwan jagung packed with corn kernels. The soda gembira, like many Indonesian places here, use Sprite instead of club soda or plain soda water, which makes it far too sweet. The syrup they used tasted authentic, though. Overall, you may love this place specifically because the food tastes like something you grew up eating. However, if your preference leans more toward polished, restaurant-style Indonesian food, it may feel a little underwhelming.
