I thought I had already left a review, but I guess I hadn't! I always make a point to stop by this place for takeout because I love their cooking. It's much better than many of the other Filipino restaurants I've tried in the Valley. Their food isn't overly greasy like some other Filipino places, and everything is always fresh and flavorful. The restaurant is also very clean, including the restroom, which I really appreciate. Ed was the one who prepared my order and he was friendly, helpful, and courteous, making the experience even better. So far, I've tried the dinuguan, chicken tinola, egg rolls, adobong pusit, and sinigang, and every dish has been absolutely delicious! The only downside is that they're about 25 miles from me. We're considering using Cebuchon to cater at our wedding near the end of the year, so to help us decide, we decided to take a couple trips over to try some of their foods. Parking and seating were both plentiful, and they had lots of food options! Their food is so good and flavorful -- definitely good quality food! I especially loved the Sinigang -- it was just the right amount of sour! We've had the liempo, the lechon, sinigang, and chicken adobo. The second time we had visited we hoped to try the BBQ, which was there the first time, but it seemed like they didn't have any, so it looks like we'll have to come back again to try it! As someone who knows alot of the dishes there, I think it's easy for me to decide what I want, but I do think it might be helpful to have name cards on the food area or on the glass so those who are newer to Filipino food may at least know the names of the foods they're looking at. Amazed here at the quality and shocked to find such good Filipino food. I especially loved the Menudo and Chicken Adobo. They don't skip on any of the flavor. Bay leafs are aplenty and I love sucking on them for the juice lol. The man at the front was kind and helped explain to my friend the food since she wasn't familiar with it and he even threw in some leftover veggies for free since it was the end of the day. Big portion with two sides for $15.99. I got food for 3 meals thanks to this. Will be glad to try again soon when I'm in the area! The only drawback that doesn't make it a perfect 5 stars is the amount of grease and fat in each item. Loads of oil and pig fat that leaves a thick layer when it's colder or layers of oil on top when it's warm. Needed some skimming. read more

I've only been here twice so far. Today is my second time, and I'm picking up a lechon for a Christmas party at home. The first time was just a few days ago, right before closing, when I stopped by for a quick taste test. I ordered some Filipino food--menudo and dinuguan--and it was really good. Today, I came back specifically to pick up the lechon. They told me it would be ready at 11:00 a.m., but it's now almost 12:00 and I'm still waiting. I also tried to order beef tapa, but they ran out, so I went with tocino instead. One thing to know is that food preparation takes a while and the service is slow. Despite that, the food is fantastic, and I still highly recommend the place. And by the way, one of the staff, probably the owner, offered me coke for waiting. I refused since i don't drink soda. Update: i lowered the rating of this restaurant because I ended up waiting for an hour and a half for the lechon. And I'm not sure who the guy was I think he's the manager or the owner. We were told that it's gonna be ready at 11 in the morning. I was there at 11 and right now it's 1239 noon. He was very apologetic and he said he's gonna give me a discount, but I ended up paying the full amount and he was just quiet the whole time I feel like there's a problem on integrity in this place. Being true to his word is very important for me. Two unfulfilled promises and I feel like they just started cooking the Lechon when I arrived because I saw a lot of food being taken out for their other catering orders. Decided on the 2 item combo and it was $2 extra for the Lechon as one of the sides. I decided on half and half, meaning half pancit and the other half: garlic fried rice. Know that you can choose white rice instead. The portion size is well worth the price as I had so much leftover for dinner (see my pics). Everything taste as expected and there was a good variety to choose from (see my pic). I suggest and hope they would label the dishes -as it would help customers and newbies to Filipino food. Everything was carefully wrapped in Saran Wrap, to avoid spillage, as I took my meal to-go. Person behind the counter speaks a bit softly, as it was a bit hard to hear him with 1 large group dining inside the restaurant. He was kind enough to let me sample the pork/coconut dish, before I purchased it -as that isn't something my Mom made (btw I am Filipino-American). Large indoor and outdoor seating area. We recently stopped by Cebuchon for a quick takeout in the morning. Located in a convenient strip center with easy parking, the spot was easy to access and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The staff was friendly and helpful, taking time to explain the different food options on the menu. Although we arrived before 11 AM, we learned that their signature Cebuchon (crispy roasted pork belly) wouldn't be ready until noon. It takes about five hours to cook, according to the server. We'll definitely be coming back to try it fresh next time! For our order, we picked up two combo plates, where you can choose between white rice, garlic rice, noodles, or half and half. We went with the half rice, half noodles option, which gave us a nice variety. Here's what we tried the Longanisa which is a sweet and savory Filipino sausage, be sure to try it with the tangy vinegar dip absolutely delicious. The Lechon Paksiw a flavorful dish made from roasted pig simmered in vinegar, garlic, onions, and black peppercorns. It was rich, tender, and full of depth. Ampalaya (Bitter Melon) with Egg was very tasty if you're a fan of bitter melon. It's definitely an acquired taste, but we found it well balanced and tasty. This review is LONG overdue! I don't think I've ever walked into a restaurant (or ANY business for that matter) and immediately felt like family. This place is phenomenal. Be ready for pork 70 ways -- don't worry -- they'll let you sample them all! Fried, roasted or stewed it's all delicious. I loved the crispy pork with the sour dipping sauce but my absolute favorite were the lentils. They tasted like home, like memories with family. They reminded me of a dish I'm used to enjoying around the holidays, black eyed peas. I wish I remembered the names of the people working when i visited as they were very warm, patient and welcoming. They want to make sure you're getting exactly what you want AND enough of it. They will literally let you sample the entire menu. There's tables for outdoor seating as well as plenty of tables inside. It's got a ton of natural light from all the windows but not much along the lines of ambiance. I do remember a small stage and I think they offer karaoke or live music on certain nights. There were also small snack bags of goodies for purchase. I can't wait to head back. There's no sense of urgency, no clear direction, and it honestly seemed like the people serving food had never worked in a restaurant before based on how long it took them to do the simplest tasks. The food was already cooked, so why did it take so long just to scoop, plate, close containers, and check us out? We visited on a Sunday morning before the church crowd, and even then the pace was shockingly slow. At first, I thought maybe it was because there were only five of us in line. But when the church crowd came in, we were still eating, and I watched to see if they would speed things up. They didn't. On top of that, no one was keeping an eye on the trash cans, which is essential when you're running a place that relies on disposable plates and utensils. I had to point out that the trash bag needed changing because our trash wouldn't fit and neither would the people's behind us. I even told the girl behind me to just leave her trash on the tray, otherwise she'd be standing there all day trying to cram it in. I am so lucky to have them close to where I work because on those days I forget to bring a lunch, they have found me as a loyal, repeat customer. Cebuchon Sa Barrio is a fast-casual Filipino restaurant located inside a corner shopping plaza on Roscoe/Fallbrook. I have been coming here for years because of their friendly customer service and the 1 item combo (only $8!) is my go-to lunch when I am craving Filipino food during the week. Haven't heard of this place till fellow Yelp Elite, Vijay, invited me, my bf, and our other Yelp Elite squad, Janeth and Kevin, for lunch the other day! I don't typically go out of my way for Filipino food since I'm Filipino and grew up with it and honestly have it more often than I should LOL. Parking is huge and the lot was familiar since we go to the other shops in the area. This place has a nice outdoor seating but also plenty of seating inside. It was kinda empty when we went, I'm sure it's more busy for dinner but we went for our lunch break during a work day. The two ladies who helped us already knew Kevin since he frequently visited this spot. I ended up getting the Inihaw which is basically sliced up bbq pork and had a good amount of fat. I know most people don't like fat on their meat but I love it! Sometimes it can be overwhelming but it goes so well on this and it's prepared really nicely. My bf got some ground meat and curry which he really liked and we shared garlic rice and the Royal Orange Soda. It was both our first time trying that soda and it's definitely really different from your typical Fanta or Sunkist. It honestly tastes more like a real orange and I think a little more on the sweeter side? They fill up your to go box pretty well so I ended up having leftovers for lunch the next day. Caught up with the elite friendos and had a quick and delicious lunch break. Definitely want to come back and try their adobo and Pancit which looked amazing! I noticed they also had tocilog and longanisa but didn't see it during that time so maybe it's only served for breakfast. I'll have to try that sometime as well. Wanted to support this business as there are not many Filipino restaurants around. I came in an hour before closing and the place was empty. No customers seated, no staff manning the counter. Mind you I did not walk into an establishment that was closed lol, it was open, the flashy sign that said open was turned on, door was open, their hours said they were open, their lights and TV were turned on. I waited a couple more minutes and nothing. Felt like I walked into the twilight zone. There was a bell on the counter and I tried to ring it but it was broken. Came here on a Friday around 2 pm. The store was virtually empty. My initial goal when coming here was to get at least the lumpia, some Filipino breakfast, and flan, but I completely forgot about all of that when I saw the food lined up cafeteria style. I'll have to come back and try more! The employees were sooooo friendly and kind. They let my younger brother try different things because he's unfamiliar with Filipino food (I am a little too). They recommended items and gave us huge portions. They joked around with us and checked on us while we ate. We dined up each getting a 2 item combo. I got the cebuchon and eggplant omelet with garlic rice. My sister got the lechón and chicken adobo with garlic rice. My brother got the menudo and pork blood with pancit and garlic rice. I was also happy to see that one of my favorite bake shop's desserts were being sold here: Sugar & Grace Bake Shop (check out their Yelp page!) We got a container of pandan crinkle cookies and 2 small ube biko de yema. Super yummy modern Filipino desserts. My favorite items were the chicken, cebuchon, pork blood, and especially the eggplant omelet. Everything was super flavorful and delicious. A little greasy, but that's what happens when you eat a lot of pork lol. Next time we'll make sure to try other items and not just mainly pork dishes. A huge amount of food that came out to around $50. We definitely ended up taking some home. It's so bad!I'm sure it's been stretched to two days or so and been sitting in the heat lamp to look like it's fresh. Service is great no doubt, Ambience is very tired. Tried this place on a whim and it really did not disappoint especially for the value! My friend and I got the lechon kawali bowl and it came with garlic rice and pancit. The pork was perfectly crispy and tender and I loved how it also came with two eggs that sat over the rice. I loved how the garlic rice was so garlicky with fried garlic bits and the flavor infused throughout the rice and the pancit was a nice added touch!
