Great lunch deal.
Brandy H.

After cashing in my lottery ticket, I stumbled across the most delicious Indian lunch buffet at Aroma Buffet, and it was nothing short of a chef's kiss. The goat curry was full of flavor, the lentils were comforting, the tandoori chicken was spot on, and the biryani rice, samosas, and garlic naan were the perfect finishing touches. Definitely coming back!

Jason V.

I came for the lunch buffet and was really impressed. The food was fresh and delicious. Everything was cooked and spiced to perfection. The owners were extremely friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back.

Wishing them well but quality has gone down significantly. So back to the all you can eat, ordered pakoras and batter was sour. Then followed up with dosa, same thing with sour batter which is over fermented. Infact ordered a second serving to make sure I wasn't just tasting it. It's reasonable to assume that Thursdays all you can eat are leftover combinations from weekend preps. In terms of service, gap between the servings was over 10-11 minutes, and at the second serving, desserts were brought out when not asked for. Chutneys: not served unless asked for. Everything was off. The floor manager walked over and hinted at us leaving; not asking how the food was but when are you leaving vibe. Ambience has been like it was pre Covid. Not many customers on a weekday but that is perhaps because of demographics in the area. Weird thing about them trying to kick us out was that the restaurant wasn't even crowded but maybe becuase costs from our table were maxed out. Oh yes they also had a vegetable biryani as an appratizer which was served without raita of course. Overall, the place used to be great. Maybe still is but opt to go on weekends when it's crowded and food is maybe fresh. Another thing about ownership being form north in a South Indian restaurant are subtle changes where sambhar gets a jeera tadka or aalu pallya gets vegetables like carrots and peas. Avoiding for 6 months or so.

It's one of around a dozen small eateries in an industrial kitchen building, and they pass the savings on to you. It is family-run, and you may meet them all when you pick up your order - super friendly. But the most important thing to know is that the food is excellent, the portions are large, and they mash up a couple different kinds of cuisine in great ways. I had the chicken hakka noodles, which was sort of a Indian/Chinese dish withe terrific flavor. In fact I'm eating my leftovers now. My wife had the vegan combo, which was chana masala with rice, naan and raita. All were very good. We also got samosas and two Bombay Burgers, which was sort of like samosa filling on a hamburger bun with spicy topping. The total was just under $50 and we had plenty of food. The default spice level is medium - so remember to ask for mild if you need to (I had to scrape the topping off the Bombay burger - too much for me.) Or of course I';m sure they could make it hotter too! A great find, give them a try. Lots of other little mom and pop restaurants I can't wait to try there to try as well.

It's in a white commercial building with limited parking. Best way to order is online, especially if busy. There's no seating so it's a to-go place. I love Indian food and have been to many in the OC. I've been looking for in the Chatsworth area and came across Desi Dish Dash. We ordered: Veg Samosas (2 pcs) $4.95 Crispy outside. Very good and a must try! Add a bit of the Tikka Masala sauce on it - so good! Chicken Biryani $16.95 It was okay. On its own, it could have been more flavorful. Chicken Tikka Masala $16.95 You can pick spice level. Medium spice was just right. I love the bold flavor. Rich, creamy, tomato based and a little thick. Chicken was tender. The sauce is savory, tangy with slightly sweet notes. One of my favorite items! Tandoori Paneer $16.95 The aroma is amazing. Came with red bell peppers and onions. I didn't get so much of the smoky or char flavor. It had a firm texture, similar to firm tofu, but not slightly crumbly. It could be due to the size of paneer, which is more of a rectangle shape rather than cube shaped. Garlic Naan $3.50 Came with 2 pieces. They are soft, fluffy, and slightly chewy. Mild garlic flavor. Overall, they serve a diverse authentic menu, with vegetarian options. Prices are similar to Indian sit down restaurants but may be a bit more expensive from a ghost kitchen. Most of the food I have tried from our 2 visits were delicious! Indian homestyle comfort food in the San Fernando Valley. It's definitely worth a try!

Everything from the samosa to the onion bhaji and the chicken and lamb tikka and seekh kabab was fresh and flavorful. The garlic naans were fantastic and served as the perfect accompaniment to the sag paneer and butter chicken. The chicken tikka was nicely charred on the outside while still being juicy and moist inside, and the egg fried rice had a nice buttery taste and was full of eggs and peas. A friend who has great taste in food recommended this place - he and his wife have ordered food from here before and had it delivered. My parents and I did the same tonight, and I'm sorry to say we're all extremely underwhelmed. For context, we're Indian, so we know what Indian food is supposed to taste like, and what goes in it - my friend and his wife are not, so I can't (and won't) blame them in this case. Their other food recommendations have been excellent. We ordered the matar paneer, tadka dal, chana bhuna, Peshwari Naan, and 2 garlic butter naans. The dal was OK - good consistency but just OK. The chana bhuna was again, just OK - it lacked salt and didn't have much masala so I'm not sure why they're calling it "bhuna." The matar paneer was the most disappointing of all. It was in some bizarre, watery, milk-consistency yellow sauce we've never seen before and literally lacked any kind of flavor whatsoever: no masala, no salt, and no spices. I get that it was ordered mild, but that is only supposed to apply to heat (e.g. cayenne pepper/powder), not mean make it totally bland and devoid of non-heat spices that typically go in masalas (ground onions, garam masala, garlic, ginger, tomato, coriander powder, etc.). The only positive thing I can say about the matar paneer is that they at least gave plenty of paneer pieces unlike most restaurants where finding paneer is a frustrating fishing expedition. Onto the naans: the garlic butter naans were also just OK - a bit over cooked so they were hard and dried out, so perhaps the butter had already gotten absorbed by the time it made it to our house. The Peshwari naan was soft and flaky but a bit too overstuffed. (Although I suppose that's better than it being understuffed.) The food all arrived piping hot and smelled amazing, which is why the inferior quality of the food itself was additionally disappointing. We can only conclude that whoever the chef is at this place is not Indian; or if s/he is, then they need to go back and have their mom or an Indian Auntie teach them how to cook properly. And if they're not Indian, then they need to find an Indian Auntie to learn from and only then should they be cooking Indian food for sale. Seeing all of the rave reviews, including some from Indian folks, I wonder if we just ordered on a bad night when the regular chef was perhaps out sick or something, but I can't honestly recommend this place and won't be ordering from it again or visiting it in person, either. It wasn't cheap and it just didn't taste like Indian food should be.
