This is hand's down the best tasting and most authentic pho I've ever had at any restaurant!!! I…read moreordered the large and couldn't finish it. The broth was delicious even before adding anything. They are generous with the meat and noodles. And, the price was more than fair. We also had the papaya which was delicious!!! I wish I could go back but I live out of state. The service was friendly and prompt. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable. We sat at a booth that allowed us to look out at a beautiful tree across the street. It was a truly authentic and delicious Hmong meal. I'll definitely go back every time I'm in Wausau.

This is my go-to Hmong owned restaurant in Wausau. Some locals I know rate a restaurant based on…read morehow their pho tastes like and that's all they can say. You can eat way more different items than just pho here. They have everything from laab to Hmong sausage with sticky rice and of course, egg rolls. Ok, food is pretty average however their menu is extensive. The food tastes so, SO much better than the Hmong delis in the same area. Their pepper dip is delicious. Great location; right on South 3rd Avenue where I grew up as a kid. Private parking. The establishment was an old supper club back in my day. Nostalgic. The ambience need some work. Everything is dated and dark. Like a grandparents basement. I was bothered with the group sitting next us. One guy spoke as if his buddies were standing a half block away. Our server was quick on his feet and helpful with the menu. He answered questions promptly and gave us a heads up if an item would be delayed in preparing. So helpful. We didn't have to wait long to get our food. Shorter time than at the local Hmong deli, I can promise you that and the restaurant was half full. Would, and have, returned.

Weekday at noon. Immediate seating. No crowds. If you have been to one of those crab seafood…read moreshacks in California or down in the New Orelans, you won't be disappointed by their menu. Their Canjun style seafood boil is heavily influenced with a Vietnamese flavors. You pick your favorite seafood items (crawfish, snow crab legs, doungneas crab, shrimp, mussels, or lobster tails) by pounds, pick a spice flavor and then enjoy it. Each order is packed in a big plastic bag (yah, I know). In addition to the seafood, the meal also include corn, potatoes and other items of your choice. We had a lunch special with the Thai Chili seasoning. Quite spicy but very flavorful. A bowl of rice came with the meal to soak up all the sauce. Don't worry about getting messy while deshelling your seafood. The restaurant provides you with some gloves and bibs. Have a glass (or a pitcher) of beer or enjoy your meal with some wines. Lunch hour is 11a to 2p. So make sure you go there in time to take the advantage of the specials. Dinner is 4p to 9p. Closed on Mondays. They also do takeouts, so you don't have to worry about losing your manners. :-)
