Everything is dated and dark. Like a grandparents basement. I was bothered with the group sitting next us. One guy spoke as if his buddies were standing a half block away. Our server was quick on his feet and helpful with the menu. He answered questions promptly and gave us a heads up if an item would be delayed in preparing. So helpful. It seemed as if they were making each dish one at a time and without much prep. Perhaps they have gotten more efficient as they figure things out with their new business. Menu is VERY pork forward, which is fine, but vegetarians should know that their entree selections will be extremely limited. Their salad choices seem promising, however. The eggrolls have a very good flavor and the plum dipping sauce is delicious. However, the eggrolls are so tightly packed with pork that the textural experience is somewhat akin to eating a deep-fried hotdog. My Pa Kra Pao was flavorful and juicy. However, it seemed like something that I could have made at home. My date enjoyed her sausage as well, but noted that she largely paid $14 for a single sausage, with the large majority of the dish consisting of plain rice and a fried egg. Not a bad experience overall, but I don't think we feel the need to return soon.
