Came for the first time after family hiking trip. Was so worth it!! I had the burger, my dad had the seafood. the burger was super good and I recommend it. I got the House style burger. It was super juicy. The fries were good but I just felt like they didnt really try on it. There was a big cajun-powder patch by my fries and it threw me off for a sec. Service was fine! Ambiance was good, love the shows on the TV! I totally recommend as its such a calm, cozy environment. :)

We were invited as a group over 12 people to have lunch here. If you've been to similar establishments such as Hot N Juicy or Boiled Crab, this one cannot compare but keep your mind open. I was truly hoping for Cajun flavors but you won't find that here. Instead they had lemon pepper, Thai chili, and lemongrass. You may also choose your spice level. Plus, if you choose to go per pound seafood, they won't allow you to choose half pound. I tried, just for you guys. My Mom had pho and she thought it was ok. My younger sister thought the pho was "meh." I didn't try the broth so I can't throw my 2-cents however it wasn't clear. I can say that the condiment caddy they brought us had nearly empty bottles. We had to wave down the waitresses to get more hoisin and sriracha. My Husband's burger was cooked medium rare. The patty was slightly pink and very juicy. They snuck in a spoonful of Hmong pepper dip in the burger and it added some flavoring. I thought the fries were cooked well; so crispy. I wished they had a better description of the flavoring used for the boil. I ordered lemongrass to be on the safe side as I can't tolerate spicy foods. Then when they brought it out, the flavoring was nice. A tad salty for my taste but that was toned down with a side of rice and it made it a nice meal. I would have ordered the andouille sausage instead of Hmong sausage on the side. I would have ordered mussels instead of crawfish if I go again. Truly, it didn't satisfy my cravings. Something was missing. The spring rolls were great. I've never had Hmong sausage in mine before. The sweet hoisin and peanut sauce balanced well with the saltiness of the sausage. Service was ok. It took an hour to bring out the first dish. People who came after got their food first. I get it; we are large group. They refilled our water a few times. They automatically added 18% gratuity AND then had the audacity to ask for another tip when I went up to pay on the iPad. Don't fall for that. They got our order wrong and asked us to repeat what we ordered several times but I know they were trying. The facility is clean and the bathrooms were gender neutral. Location was in a strip mall so parking was abundant.

If you are hungry for a tasty seafood boil that straddles the continents I recommend that you try the Big Pot & Grill. They do a fine job of combining a traditional Louisiana Cajun seafood boil with flavors from Southeast Asia. I ordered their "Big Dinner," a combo of crab, mussels, shrimp and crawfish, with potatoes, corn and rice on the side, steamed/boiled in a savory sauce (available after 4:00pm). For me it was the perfect option because it included four of my favorites plus some veggies. You can also create your own boil by selecting seafood (at market price), veggies and other extras a'la carte. There are other options on the menu (pho, fried rice, pad Thai, etc. -- but we came specifically for the seafood boil). In addition to selecting your seafood and extras, be sure to specify the flavor profile and level of heat that you prefer. I went with "lemon grass garlic" (tasty) and medium (which would be quite hot for many but for me was a perfect blend of heat and flavor). The Big Pot & Grill is located in a small strip mall on the east side of Appleton. The minimalist decor makes for a pleasant atmosphere. Service was perfunctory but acceptable. Beverages including beer and wine as well as soft drinks are available. Though I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner, I wouldn't rate it as a spectacular five star meal. That said, if you like seafood boils, Cajun & Asian flavors, I'm sure you'll enjoy you meal at Big Pot & Grill just as I did. Ps. Don't forget to don your gloves and bib -- seafood boils can be messy!

Our first time here. I was with my husband and my toddler. We got the Hmong sausage and rice with the dinner combo of 1 pound shrimp, mussels and crawfish. You can select your level of spice and sauce choice. We had the spicy thai chili sauce and it was SO good! If you don't like your food too spicy, you can choose lemongrass or lemon butter sauce. The dinner combo that we had cost $50 and comes with 1 corn and 1 potato. That was plenty for the both us. My toddler had the Hmong sausage and rice with a side of plain corn. Service was great! We were the only family in the restaurant after 7pm on a week day and the server took great care of us. She was attentive to our needs and provided a high chair, extra plates and a kid cup. The restrooms are gender neutral and have a baby station. Clean and welcoming environment. Very family friendly restaurant as well. We will definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu!

Weekday at noon. Immediate seating. No crowds. If you have been to one of those crab seafood shacks in California or down in the New Orelans, you won't be disappointed by their menu. Their Canjun style seafood boil is heavily influenced with a Vietnamese flavors. You pick your favorite seafood items (crawfish, snow crab legs, doungneas crab, shrimp, mussels, or lobster tails) by pounds, pick a spice flavor and then enjoy it. Each order is packed in a big plastic bag (yah, I know). In addition to the seafood, the meal also include corn, potatoes and other items of your choice. We had a lunch special with the Thai Chili seasoning. Quite spicy but very flavorful. A bowl of rice came with the meal to soak up all the sauce. Don't worry about getting messy while deshelling your seafood. The restaurant provides you with some gloves and bibs. Have a glass (or a pitcher) of beer or enjoy your meal with some wines. Lunch hour is 11a to 2p. So make sure you go there in time to take the advantage of the specials. Dinner is 4p to 9p. Closed on Mondays. They also do takeouts, so you don't have to worry about losing your manners. :-)

Big Pot has great sauces for their boils. The food is overpriced compared to other seafood boil restaurants and their mussels and crawfish are not fresh. The crab legs are amazing. Their fried rice is good along with their chicken wings. I tend to visit for their sausages, which are amazing. After visiting the restaurant on a regular basis, the restaurant started charging me $3 for the sauce that my order of sausages, that cost $2.75, came in. I'm being charged more for the sauce than the meat. Kind of concerning. They're usually understaffed and service is slow. The waitresses are nice but usually overwhelmed. Management could be better. They're more concerned on getting your money rather than customer service.

Great meal! Had headless shrimp with quail eggs, corn, potatoes and Hmong Pork Sausage medium spice.

Very good, I recommend this place. I fallowed another reviews tip to get noodles. I took them to go and used them with my leftovers. I got 3 more meals out of it.

One pound of yummy whole shrimp- market value $18/pound

We've visited Big Pot & Grill twice since it has re-opened. The first time, was actually the grand opening day. We were very lucky, we went in early. After we were seated and got our waters, that's when the rush came. My only complaint for that visit was we were seat at a table that only fits four. We had four adults and two kids. I understand that they were probably trying to save space but it was very crowded and uncomfortable for us. Especially after all our food was placed on the table. I ordered a pound of shrimp & mussels, they forgot to bring the mussels with the shrimp. However, they noticed the mistake right away and even took it off the bill. I'm not a fan of their pho. That's just my personal preference though. They have a good ratio of noodles to broth and meats but the broth, just isn't my favorite. Don't let my opinion change your mind though. Give it a try. The second time was almost just as good. I felt like my seafood mix wasn't as salty as I'd like but that's no problem. I'd rather it be under salted versus over salted. This time, the seating was much better. But again, they forgot a side of sausage in the seafood mix for one of our family member's dish. After our family member pointed it out to the waitress, they worked on bring it out and took it off the bill. I appreciate that gesture. It seems like this is one of their common mistakes. I understand it's hard to keep tabs on all the items that goes into an order. I hope they figure this out. We'll definitely be visiting again.

First want to start with how kind the staff are!! They are very helpful and attentive. We decided…read moreto eat in and this place is fairly small but still welcoming. It was mid day on a Tuesday so not too busy but they did have several to go orders and other tables full inside. They're extremely fast getting food out however! We got the Thai iced tea, one chicken egg roll, one pork roll, two stuffed chicken wings (one for each of us), a pork pad Thai that ended up coming out with chicken instead (happy accident), and the chicken Thai pad see ew. I have had far too many egg rolls to admit to a number but the egg rolls here are TRULY THE BEST EGGROLLS IVE EVER HAD. The pork was my favorite of the two we tried but the chicken was just as good. They're perfectly proportional of filling to crispy and flaky exterior. They also come with sweet & sour sauce or spicy and they are AMAZING to mix together. I wish I had a photo to show but we devoured these. The stuffed chicken was DELICIOUS as well. Really not sure how they do these but clearly they are known for these and they are truly the bomb! The pad Thai was accidentally made with chicken but it was still delicious! The plate is much bigger than we thought so my partner only got through maybe half of this before getting a take away box. It was tangier than we expected with no spice but after adding the spicy sauce from the eggrolls it was perfect for his taste. Finally the Thai pad see ew was a welcome dish. The noodles were thicker than I'm used to but again no harm there. It also was a huge dish so maybe half way through got a box. This place is so good. I absolutely recommend stopping for some delicious eats. We saw some pho bowls and they are huge but look amazing. I can't imagine not finding something to like about this place.

I had the pad see ew and my wife had the pad Thai. Both were tasty. Although my chicken was a little dry. Her tofu was fried perfectly. You can order each dish medium, spicy, or very spicy.
