I dropped off a brand new cream/white dress for an engagement shoot. The dress has two straps that go around the neck which I asked to be altered a specific way. They decided to do the alteration their way and completely took off the straps. One of them was placed back on backwards and unevenly. The dress was also stained by them and the stitching used to place the straps back on was not the color of the dress. Even worse, there was no apology or desire to make any of it right for me. I took a fancy pillow case to get dry cleaned. After spending $35, I don't even think they did anything to the pillowcase, just gave it right back. Took it to Angel's Dry Cleaners in Montebello and for $20, they did a MUCH better job. The pillowcase actually smelled like it was clean and it was fluffier. read more

Horrible, horrible establishment. Avoid at all costs. My wife had a bridesmaids dress altered here (for well over $100), and when we were getting ready at the wedding, she noticed that the bottom was cut extremely unevenly. Further, the straps were essentially untouched, causing her to awkwardly have to pull up her dress for the entire wedding to stop from flashing everyone. When we contacted Royal Dry Cleaners about this, they accused us of lying, yelled at us over the phone, and hung up. To this day, they refuse to give any money back, and are claiming that our only option is to let them fix the dress (why would we even want that??? The wedding is over, geniuses). Avoid this place at all costs. They will overcharge you for bad work, and put no effort into making things right. read more

I've been going to this place for years. It's not the cheapest but it's not the most expensive either. I couldn't complain about the service until recently. Gloria is always very helpful. However, when I was recently putting on a scarf I had just picked up from this place & there was a flossing toothpick stuck on the fabric. I was so disgusted . We're in the middle of a dammed pandemic & this is what these people do??? There's like a dozen expletives I wish I could use towards the owners. Seriously, what is wrong with these people? Called the health department & apparently there's nothing they could do. In other words if this thing has COVID & I get infected from it it's completely ok. Not only did they ruin my scarf, but these people are putting peoples' health at risk with their nasty habits. They don't even deserve one star but if I don't I can't post review. read more

Horrible place! I took in a dress to get dry cleaned and they washed it. On top of that they didn't even remove the make up stains. They did however get rid of the original color of my dress and it now looks faded and old after only wearing it once. I'd give this place a negative star but that's not an option. read more

I've been taking nice expensive clothes here for years. On my last visit they washed my Givenchy shirt and ruined it. When I confronted the man he had no explanation to what went wrong. Instead he said my shirt was defective and that I should take it back to Nordstrom. Worst place ever. read more

I was the head band uniform mom for a local high school and Royal Dry Cleaners was able to handle our needs beautifully. No easy task when we had 400+ uniforms to dryclean! Sunil, the owner is very pleasant and runs an efficient business. I would feel sorry to have to send him some really gross uniforms to clean. I know that some of the uniforms needed alot of extra attention.They always came back looking brand new and smelling fresh. So, if they could meet the needs of our big order satisfactorily, your regular cleaning needs should be a piece of cake for them! read more

Worst place EVER! Customer service is terrible! I took 2 pairs of my work slacks in to be cleaned and sewn by the zipper, I specifically told the lady when I left them to crease them. I had my husband pick them up as I needed them for work tomorrow morning. When he brought them home both pairs were not creased, so o called and the lady hung up on me. I have been taking my suits to be dry cleaned here for years... In the past two years I have brought my work clothes/Costumes - not to be mistaken by cheap Halloween costume fair- . The lady that I was used to doing business with was very kind and professional... she made sure that she was absolutely positive they could accommodate my more lavish garments;... once she knew, I had no problem dropping off my costumes... My last two visits have been completed different as there seems to be an unannounced change of management.. There is a new -rather unpleasant- lady working the front, I brought in my pieces -business as usual- The lady goes through my items.. suddenly , she looks at my "fancy" costume with eyes that could almost burn holes into my garment... She then pulled out her favorite little slip! It was one of those "zero liability forms.".. weird! She pulls those for any little thing. I thought well, why not? I've never had a problem with my clothes being damaged here ever. So I signed her form.. But as though I was a brand new customer, she charged me twice what I typically pay for the same pieces I've brought in for the last 2 years! I knew immediately what was going on... It's bad enough that you don't trust your skills enough to do a dry cleaning job that is slightly irregular, but.. Charge me double my typically fee? No way!! The only reason I rated 2 stars is because they do a good job cleaning your clothes, you know... If they don't destroy them somehow... But hey, if you have simple shirts and suits...take em!.. just make sure that you don't have an extra pleat on your cuffs or trousers because you will sign that form! read more

I have been a customer for over 3 years. Royal Dry Cleaners was the only place I'd take my hats and jackets because I always received such great service. Most of the employees are nice as well. BUT the last time I took a hat there, I was most unhappy about the way I was treated. I had a newsboy cap dry cleaned because it was a bit dirty and sweat stained. I got a call about two days later and a message was left that said that my hat tore a bit. I returned the call because I had to give them authorization to fix it and that it would cost eight dollars (three more dollars than the dry clean). The female employee told me that she forgot to mention the damage policy for hats. I figured, well, it happens, but fix it, I love that hat. So, the day I get there, I find the hat pretty much frizzed up and mangled at all the points that are stitched together on top of the cap (where no sweat collects). The manager told me that sweat can deteriorate the fabric of the hat. So I asked what had been repaired and it turned out that it was the inner lining of the hat. None of the inner part of the hat was damaged by sweat (where all of the sweat collects) and looked pretty good. Naturally, being that my hat was destroyed, I asked them why they even bothered to ask me if I wanted a repair job when the hat was obviously obliterated. Being that they have been in the business for so long, surely they could tell my hat was destroyed. I got irritated because I felt I was trying to be suckered out of 8 dollars. The manager reacted as if I was being unreasonable. He said, "what? What do you want? The money for the repair? Here, take it, finished." SERIOUSLY? I should have asked for my hat to be replaced, and here he was acting like if I was being out of line. You won't find me taking my valuables there again. read more

So I've been going to this Cleaners for a long time but !!! Not no more I recently took a brand new maxi dress there to be hemmed. They had such a big problem with the hemming of it . They had to do it over twice. The owner kept telling me it was due to the nature of the material come on now what kind of reply is that, Your a dry cleaners. To top it off after work one day I missed a call from her because I was driving she said they will have to buy a smaller Needle to try to do the hem for the second time. I called back when I pulled over, in conversation when I was still speaking with her she hung up on me. I was parked right outside her facility when this happened I got of my car went in and told her that was rude. She claimed she hung up do to not hearing me because of the traffic, when I did go back to pick up the dress I approached her to help me. Shame. I had been bringing my husbands trousers and shirts for over 2 years to this establishment. It's very close to my work and it had been working out...until about a month ago when who is, I assume the owner's wife, made me feel this was no longer the place I wanted to give my business. I brought in 2 trousers for dry cleaning. I have asked in the past that the double crease be removed or try not to make it worse! This time, I noticed one was particularly bad. I asked her if she could do something about it, to which she went on to say with a condescending tone, that the other place where I took them must've messed them up! I told her I don't take them anywhere else, this place is literally down the street from my work and I've been coming here for the last 2 years +! She kept insisting that it was another dry cleaners who had given my husband's trousers a double crease. By now, I was done with her attitude and asked for the trousers back (she had taken them to "inspect" them). I said I would take them somewhere else, to which she just said they'd be ready for Fri. I have not gone back since, and never will! Her attitude was beyond unprofessional and with these low ratings, I'm mad at myself for not having yelped them before giving them my business for so long! I have found Angel's Cleaners in Montebello; it's farther but with much better customer service. I took 4 blouses for cleaning. One was expensive. This blouse had a unique design, pleats above the chest area both front and back. I wore it twice got a little makeup on the neck trim. I asked the girl at the counter if cleaning would be a problem she said not to worry it be ok. I should have followed my instinct. I picked up the blouses and something told me to check that blouse before leaving and sure enough they had flat ironed the pleats. I was livid. The girl told me they would wash it again and pleats would come back. Next day I handed a different lady the receipt she says, "oh you'r the blouse with the wrinkles " I said "no with the pleats". The blouse was ruined. She says the pleats are artificial and I should take it back to store bought from. I told her I should have been told there was a possibility this could happen. Lady says well the girl isn't here today and there is nothing more we can do. I WILL NEVER RETURN EVER! Wasn't too happy how the cleaned the other blouses either! The ladies there are rude. We took my husband's suit to get washed with same day pick-up. The receipt had some charges that were then crossed out but the total amount still included them. We forgot to go pick up the suit and they got made at me for not coming to pick it up that same day!!! We paid the extra to get it same day so I was confused as to why she was getting angry at me. I didn't ask for a refund for the same day fee. I didn't even think about because it was our mistake but she was treating me like I was trying to get away with something. Never again! We've been bringing are Clothes to this cleaner for several years however in the past couple of years service has declined!!! My husband requires heavy starch on his shirts however we've had to come back and return more than twice because they do not follow instructions. Every time I drop off the shirts I request heavy starch and the owner fails to put it in the ticket so when my shirt are processed I do not receive my request. We spend over $120 every other week here so we started to get a discount however they pick and choose what we get discounts on that is not fair we should be entitled to a discount on whatever we bring. Not on whatever they choose. Also we were told we were getting a 10% discount we find out it's only 5% after checking our receipt they seem not to be trustworthy on what they offer. Be careful check your receipts. The owner is not willing to give you great customer service even though you spend a lot of money in his business. The only reason I've stayed so long with this cleaner is because of Gloria's great customer service and always willing to correct the owners errors!!! read more

Had a couple of items cleaned, one they seem to have done some damage to the felt on my Dodgers jersey, and it still has a small stain they didn't notice, the other garment looks fine, but for $16.50, I won't be back. Safe to say I've had about every experience here possible. My Mom started us on this place in the 1960? maybe earlier. It's changed owners a couple of times and after 30+ years here I"m searching for a new cleaner/alterations place. They are sloppy with the cleaning services, over priced and the straw that broke the camels back was when I took 4 pairs of pants to be altered they did the worse job EVER. They didn't take the pants and steamed them first, so when the cuff was made at the new length you could see the old hemline right in the middle of the cuff! Then they didn't even clean the area so we ended up with an almost black smudge line right in the middle of the cuff and a crease to boot. This happened on all four pairs of pants! When I pointed this out to the manager, they saw nothing wrong with the work. WTF? It was bad, these were uniform pants and they were to be worn on stage with 100 other people who had the same outfits on. It was a nightmare. Never again. read more
