I have been coming to this place for a long time. Just found out they are under new ownership just this past months. Extremely upset with them! They don't know what they are doing as a cleaning professional. I sent in 3 down jackets and asked them to clean. They did clean if but I believe they dry cleaned them instead of cleaning. They should know how to handle down jackets. All my jackets are no longer having any "Down feathers" inside. They should read the cleaning instruction before they put in the cleaner. My beef with this place is the posted business hours are NOT followed. Half the time I drive there they are CLOSED when they are supposed to be open. As such, I docked two stars from what would have been a 4 star review. Posted hours set up a customer's expectations. Not following the posted hours is disrespectful to customers. I was so disappointed with the level of customer service with this business so much so that I am writing this review almost 2 hours after the worst interaction with a business I have had in some time. First, they tailored 2 shirts and pants for me and the sleeves of the 1 shirt was not tailored correctly it was too short and 1 pair of pants the waist was too tight. I took both items back to show JOSEPH what the issues were his response was it was my fault because when he marked the shirt I agreed to the length of the sleeve but he did note that the shirt while on me did not fit correctly. He said it was my fault and I asked how long he had been in the tailoring business he said all my life. I told him you are the expert and not me. I paid over $160 in less than 3 weeks for repairs and was really hoping thought I found a good tailor instead I found an owner that wants to debate customers then have his wife say to take my mommies advice and go to another tailor. She also said asked how much I had spent and I said over $150 she said you think that's a lot of money and I said yes I do. She then said I was not welcome there any longer because of my debate with her husband. Joseph then said I should find an on-site tailor who I can pay more to do a correct job. He then said we only do cleaning minor alterations and minor repairs. I said why not convey that upfront instead of taking work you job out and is done poorly. Well, I did find out who wears the pants in that family and let's just hope they are tailored correctly! I thought about my initial 2-star review and gave it 1 too bad I can't give it zero. Based on the photo I posted of the shirt that was tailored poorly because according to Joseph it was my error for okaying the marks he placed on the sleeve. I guess working in the cleaning in the tailoring business for his entire life according to him gives him zero experience in seeing potential problems in alterations. You can sit at a desk in an office for 40 years and only know how to show up for work. Thank God he's not a brain surgeon he would say well you drew the line nurse so I just cut on the line so it's your fault for the patient's demise. On Tuesday, I finally decided to go to the Busy Bee Cleaners that's on my way home from the office. The woman who took my clothes was absolutely lovely. She took down my phone number and automatically recognized it as a San Jose area code. We had a quick conversation on where I was from and where I worked as she looked over my clothes, and once she was finished, she showed me the total I would pay when I came in on Friday. I wasn't paying attention to the breakdown, but it was $55.85 for everything. Is that even a reasonable price for big wool coats and silk dresses? I have no idea. I just nodded and left. I came back on Friday and looked over my clothes--they felt and smelled clean. No damage on anything. And once I paid, I got a frequent-buyer VIP bonus card ($2.79) toward my next dry cleaning round. I asked how much to dry clean shirts, and I was told $2.50 (or was it $2.75?), which isn't too exorbitant, I guess. If you only have a couple of shirts, pay in cash, because there is a 50-cent fee to use credit cards for purchases under $10. This cleaners place has never once let me down. I've brought many dresses to be dry cleaned here. They're always on time, the price is reasonable, and the quality of their work has never faltered (at least for me it hasn't). I've gotten clothes hemmed here and not once was it "too short" or remained "too long." I guess the added bonus would be that the owners are always friendly. Been going here for over 2 years. The husband and wife and very friendly. My wife misplaced a dress and thought the cleaners may have lost it so she asked them about it. They kept a very thorough record of what we have dropped off and when to show they did not misplace the item and my wife was satisfied with the answer. The dress still hasn't turned up in the past six months. They have frequent member program. Once you spend a certain amount of money, your next purchase is discounted. Not sure how their prices compare to other dry cleaners. Haven't had a bad experience bringing my family's clothes here for two years. Besides dry cleaning they have also done some sewing for me. In fact I was going to call and see if I can get a one day hem and saw this review. The husband and wife who own this business are very very sweet. If you work near the cleaners and need something done please do not hesitate, you will not be disappointed.
