Thieves. They keep charging me for a subscription I never bought. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. It makes me wonder how many other people who may not be as attentive to these sorts of subscription charges on their cards are being ripped off by Royal Express Car Wash. There is no rhyme or reason as to what wash you get. Today I selected the "Gold" wash and I asked the attendant there how they knew what wash I had selectled as there were numerous cars in line. The attendant that I tried to speak with barely spoke any English and pointed to a lighted board that when you entered the wash it blinked on the wash you were receiving. Upon entering it was blinking that I was getting the level below (Silver) that I was receivin. As I exited the car wash the amount of soap suds on my mirrors and windows was absolutely ridiculou. I approached one of the attendants and tried to explain that I did not get the service I paid for, but as I mentioned above he did not speak any Englis. I asked if there was anyone there that spoke English that I could speak with and he just rudely shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I will never go back to that business as it's nothing more than a money grab and has the worst customer service I've ever experience. I highly recommend staying away from this business unless you wish to waste your money. read more

I by no means am not discriminating as I am glad people have jobs. but this is the first time we had such a horrible experience we've come here often and there was one guy running the buttons while another was down below working on a car. he was telling us to go right when we needed to go left. and then got angry with us. he was messing with the buttons and we did get any soap till halfway through. then there was globs of soap on the car when we left. half of the machines didn't work inside so the vhicle didn't get clean correctly. We asked for assistants and the other worker argued with us and never gave us the mangers number. Horrible horrible experience and will probably not go back. read more

Absolutely a waste of money. Drive through car wash is closed at 3pm on a Thursday. No sign not a soul around. Out of 4 self wash bays one is closed and full of barrels and another has no spray gun! The one I got stuck with had almost no pressure and all options but pressurized soap foam brush or rinse was blocked off with duct tape. Took $15 just to get my trick somewhat cleaner than when I started. Garbage all over the ground as well. What happened to this place it used to be the best around and now it looks close to abandoned! Do not waste your time and money at this car wash. The self wash mechanisms are antiquated and insufficient. Also, the vacuums are not free: You must purchase a car wash and you only receive one token to use. You do not get a free vacuum if you use the self wash bay and the staff refuse to give you a token. read more

I have gone to the self-serve portion of the car wash several times over the past two months. Do they even put any soap or wax in the mix? Never see any soap or other material coming out, if so it's a minuscule amount- mostly water. I've tried different bays with the same result. Car is still dirty and salty when I leave. I should have read the reviews beforehand. They may be saving money by not adding in soap and wax but they're losing customers quick. If they want to stay in business they're going to have to do better than an overall average of one and a half stars read more

BEWARE!! Terrible operation! The wash tore a hole in my rear tire. The employees treated me horribly, told me it couldn't happen! Even though I drove in fine, than tire went flat in wash. I stopped in the Royal Express Car Wash today with my extraordinarily dirty SUV. The attendants told me not to expect a great job the first time through & said I may need to come through one or two more times to get the car thoroughly clean. I said I understood and was not expecting a miracle. Both guys took a long time with the pre-cleaning before I went through the mechanized part of the wash. Paid for a "Gold Wash" I went through the wash and noticed nothing was moving just spraying my Jeep with water. Finished the wash and got back into line - employee saw what happened and ran it through again - this time everything seemed to work - after I parked to clean the inside I notice dried mud on the body behind 3 of the 4 tires. For $17 I should not have to clean the dried mud off after its been through the wash twice. Additionally the vacuums are weak, the nozzles fall off and several do not work. This may be the worst car wash I ever had. The entire back of my car was not touched it seems. Visible dirt everywhere. Didn't even get the bird poop of the front hood. So odd. I paid extra for undercarriage etc and I'm certain that was not done. The vacuum was not powerful at all- couldn't get simple crumbs up. I guess Express is not worth it. read more

Used to be a halfway decent car wash. But now it's awful. Half the time there are no free tokens in the machine. Unmotivated employees!

Came yesterday for a wash- it was 21 degrees out. Curtain at the end of the tunnel was broken- stuck in the open position. Brushes on the inside were all frozen up and beat the heck out of my car. One of the brushes on the left was not even extending out far enough to touch my car so the left side of my car didn't get scrubbed. Once again, the tire shine doesn't appear to be working but there's no sign at the kiosks warning people of this. Of course you don't realize it until you get home and there's no shine on your tires. They crank up the speed of the automatic wash during the winter months- when your car really needs a good wash- to accommodate high volume, but be prepared to still have soap on your car, and the blow dry is almost pointless at the speed they run your car through during winter months. I've been a member since the Personal Touch days and can honestly say that maintenance on the tunnel has never been worse since Royal has taken over. read more

The guys are very friendly. But they were rushed today and they totally missed the entire back of my car. I paid for the extra service and my wheels are not much better than they were before at the car washed. Suggest you instruct him specifically and make sure there's plenty a room between you and the car in front of you so I have time to work on your car. Worst car wash ever! They call it express for a reason. Car came out wet with soap all over. Paid for gold (wheel Brite) wheels were filthy. Looked untouched. Weren't very dirty to begin with. Waste of money. Never again. I will travel to mobile on Mill plain where that do a great job. read more
