Not sure about the new owners. They had a grand opening and then were closed again. Okay, maybe had some issues to address. Opened again and closed again. Now I'm questioning. Tried it out with my old 2004 mini van. Did a good job but the bezel that holds the antenna in place was broken. Okay, it's old. I want them to be successful. Fraud Alert. I signed up for the monthly service for $30. All the washes you want in a month. Come April I decided to cancel because I could wash my car at home in the spring and summer. I tried canceling through the app and it told me I had to go through Apple, I contacted Apple and they said I had to go through the app. Not being able to cancel the service I tried to call the business. The voicemail has been full since April. It is still full today. I went to the business and asked the kids that work there to give me the phone number of the manager or the owner that they would call if there was an emergency. They gave me a number in Maryland. I called to tell them I've been trying to cancel the service and stop the $30 from coming out of my account. Nobody ever answered so I finally did leave a message. Nobody ever called me back and when I called again I see I was blocked. I went into my financial institution and disputed all the charges. On top of the fact that the car wash sucks, the vacuums have no power, and there aren't ever any cleaning supplies outside. I would avoid this place like the plague. read more

im not sure if this is new management but it's improved 100%. The last two times I've been there were a pleasure! Todays trip the gentleman at the booth went way beyond trying to clean my pickup, (that had been sitting outside for the last two months), before he started the runway for the tunnel. Charged me the wrong amount for my car wash a week ago. Called 2 times and stopped by twice still no refund or attempt to contact me. Not to mention the awful car wash I received. DO NOT go here, go to the Mobil touchless car wash on Church Hill rd. Better prices, better wash and you won't get charged the wrong amount. read more

Spent $25 to get my car washed and it looks terrible. The worst part however is the smell; apparently they use recycled water. The car and now my garage smells terrible. Now I have to spend more money getting it cleaned elsewhere. When I told my neighbour about it he immediately knew what car wash it was. Apparently he had also had his car washed there and it smelt too. No issue with them using recycled water but not it if it smells this bad. read more

I am a long time customer having patronized this location under previous ownerships. For the past year I have signed up both of my vehicles for the three month unlimited car washes. When Covid19 closed down the facility last winter, I received notification that upon reopening my unexpired washes would be extended. That never happened when I returned in the late Spring. I chalked that up to financial hardship and did not pursue further action. It is now Fall and I have renewed my unlimited car washes but each time I use the facility the attendants state that my membership has expired and that I have to renew. (Four consecutive car washes over a period of 2 weeks) For some reason, despite several discussions, the computer system generates false information. Quite frankly I'm getting disgusted. When I requested hard copy paper verification of my credit card purchase I was told that the machine does not print out confirmation. I'm now awaiting my monthly credit card statement to verify the transactions. I believe that a better option will be to use the Mobil Station car wash facility in Newtown where you get a car wash discount with a gasoline fill-up. read more

Brightened my day yesterday getting my car washed here. Personal service and a smile go a long way with me. Plus, my car looked great! Paying $30 a month to keep my car clean never made sense to me when I was younger. Growing up, my best friend's mom would wipe her sports car down before putting the cover back on every time she drove it. I didn't understand her obsession and certainly didn't appreciate it until I bought my first new car last year. That's when keeping my my car looking new for $30 a month became an easy decision. For the value of what you get, which to me means protecting my investment, stopping here once a week is an easy adjustment to the routine. Have been using the Newtown location for the past three years and have three of my cars signed up so I am maximizing the multi-car discount. Very nice people to deal with. Recently however I have stopped using the Car Wash because for over a year now I have asked when the tire and wheel machine is going to be repaired and I keep being told that it should be soon but has yet to be done. Considering that I have to dry and detail my car myself I would truly appreciate it if I did NOT have to get my hands covered in brake dust and grime because the wheel / tire machine is still on the fritz. As soon as the machine is properly repaired, I plan on returning. Unfortunately this place has already lost over $400.00 from me alone due to this issue. I hope they can get it together especially with the Fall and Winter quickly approaching. read more

I went to this car wash today. First of all, this guy does not offer interior cleaning. Very disappointing. I think we all miss the old car wash. They were full service. At this place you're told that the vacuums are free. I told him I wanted the $8.00 car wash. He was quick to inform me that the MUD on the bottom of my car would probably NOT come off with this service. He was right, I came out of his carwash with dirt still on my car. I have been working in CT for over 6 months now, being in sales for ADP I have to drive all over. My car takes a beating and I always try and keep it clean. I came across QuiXpress car wash a few months ago and my car never looked better. They do an incredible job. What makes me come back is the personalized service I receive and how they make me feel. I now purchased the monthly unlimited washes which is a great deal. I love coming to this car wash and now with the monthly unlimited washes I come as often as I need. I live in Southbury but unfortunately the only car was we have is Splash. The results are very mediocre. Then I discovered QuiXpress in Newtown. The first time I didn't realize I needed to wipe my car down. Got on 84 and discovered when I got home my car was covered with white spots that would not come off. Tried again and told the operator what happened on my first visit. He asked if I had my receipt, but at that point I didn't. But he gave me two towels to wipe down my car. After wiping it down it looked much better, but there was still a film on parts of the car where the spots were more concentrated. My car is black so I'm sure that's why it looks so bad. But surely there my be a more effective rinse cycle to eliminate that all together. sincerely, Pat read more

I don't like to trash a local business but I am disappointed with the lack of response from the owner of QuiXpress. I used the car wash on several occasions starting last year and decided to subscribe to the monthly service with automatic billing to a credit card. After a couple of inferior washes in January, I contacted QuiXpress on their website and asked them to cancel the monthly plan. After I was billed in February, I repeated the request on their website. Last week, I followed up with a phone call to the owner. No response and yesterday I was charged again. Buyer beware. It is easy to sign up but it appears the opposite is not true. read more

On a busy Saturday after a recent snow storm. Shawn the attendant was greeting everyone with a smile. The biggest smile was when it was my turn and he came to the window with my wife's Labrador magnet that was on the back of the car. Which I forgot to remove. It was just a nice gesture knowing how busy he was to do this simple thing. Plus it got me out of explaining what happen to it. LOL read more
