When you call their help line, and eventually get a live person, they don't know anything about it and refer you to the Royal Farms corporate office, which is a recording with no help. read more

The chicken at this location is not good. The very first time I ate their chicken was last Christmas and it was really good. Got the chicken at lunch time and wanted to eat the box it came in but going back there after that it has all been disappointing. Chicken seems to alway be leftover from the day before. This is going to be a bit of a story lol. Two experiences for this morning. Royal farm's app needs to be fixed, because it doesn't give you the option to include egg for a BREAKFAST burrito. The first time I came in with a mobile order, which no where does it tell you to pick up at register. The African woman I spoke with who had long braided hair was busy, but was being rude with me when I was simply asking about my order. Keep in mind I'm using my little 15 minute break during work to do this. She didn't listen to me about the fact I ordered 10 minutes prior and didn't consider I made a mobile order. My break is up and I finally get to find out that it's been sitting at the register the entire time. I go to work and find the burrito had no cheese or egg. At this point in infuriated. I call in about this with my frustration so hopefully it'll be ready by the time I get back. I get back, I show the issue. We confirm the APP is the problem with not having egg, however I still didn't receive cheese. Once we confirmed it was the APPs fault, I was able to calm down some. The order screens on site give you the egg option, but online/app doesn't. The woman who I spoke with first time was much more understanding and respectful talking to me as well which made me feel better. They remade my order, let me keep the mess up for my time used, and gave me a free fountain drink for my time. All of these kind curtesies they did for me changed my 1 star review ready to break something to 4 stars. The service changed the second time around, the majority of the order mistake was the app's fault, and I was compensated for the large amount of time I had to use for this encounter. I appreciate the staff for the second encounter. I do not recommend ordering this burrito online or through the app unless you can add a note lol. read more

I would have given 4 stars in the past, but now the chicken is more expensive and now they are cutting the chicken tenders in half. I could not believe it when I reached into the box and pulled out 2 half size pieces. I complained and the girl boxing the chicken said that is the way they are now. Quality keeps getting worse. Every once in a while I give it another shot but I keep getting burned. The store desperately needs a deep cleaning. The racks in the drink cooler by the teas is covered in mold and the the floors are plain nasty. And would it kill you guys to fill the napkin holders every once in a while? I'm sad.....I've used this station for many years, watched managers come and go, and every single one has been just terrific to me. So, I cannot fault RoFo on the hiring. However, I think I understand the reason they left. They're not getting the support they need from HQ, and must handle far too many customer issues. Perhaps they're understaffed, too. Gas pumps don't give receipts, a noted and ongoing issue by mgt., requiring customers to go into the store, wait in a long line, and take up valuable staff time. Drink supplies run out, esp. when promos are given, and there are inadequate reserves at the ready. The car wash needs constant care, too. Please, HQ, give this store the support they need to serve customers, increase revenue and retain that high rating you received. read more

Just stopped to get some gas one evening. It was pretty quiet at about 845pm. Not much traffic in the area. No one just standing around. Seemed to be a pretty safe area to get gas if you are pumping gas at night and you are alone. I didn't have to go inside because I was not using cash at the time. read more

Just tried the new chicken pot pie. Did not look anything like your advertised picture. It was 2/3 full with biscuit pushed down into soup and 3 small sliced chicken on top biscuit. Tasted ok but not as good as your chicken tenders. You need to put chicken chunks and potato chunks in this and add some more spice. read more

Went there for some tea and a snack, eight flavors of gourmet tea, not a regular old tea bag in sight. I have used this RF location a number of times to gas up before heading back to PA. I love MD gas prices and it's funny to see all the PA drivers getting gas during their lunch hour. I save over $3.00 each time I fill up here compared to my local gas station in Harrisburg! I have also tried the RF chicken here for the first time. The key is to eat it while it's fresh and warm. Otherwise, I discovered it tends to be dry and not as flavorful if I don't eat it right away. Maybe it depends on who makes it. Otherwise, nice quick food to go. read more

I keep hearing about Royal Farms fried chicken. So when my daughter had to use the bathroom on a trip home from Baltimore I decided this might be a good stop and then I could try some. Its a pretty nice set up. You can order at a kiosk and then they get it ready for you. My husband and friend were home in Harrisburg so I got them some and some sides and it transported a little over an hour home and was still warm! What a tasty item. Their house brand salty snacks are worth considering especially when they're free with the purchase of a 20 oz Coke product. Though the chicken is a little small for my liking, it is tasty. I also decided to get a cheeseburger slider and it was delicious. I love that u can order your food and browse and shop while u wait. I haven't gotten chicken from them many times. Today was the worse experience I have every had. I placed my order paid and waited. After about 5 minutes I was told it was going to be 15 minutes because they didnt have the chicken I ordered. After 30 minutes of waiting they finally start throwing my order in boxes. Very crowded all the time. I've gone to this location during the week, during lunch time during the work week and on a Saturday morning. The wait times are kind of long. But, it's in a busy area where there are tons of businesses. The staff tries to move customers through the lines pretty quickly. A coworker suggested that I get their chicken recently. I got it. Eh. One of the most clean and comfortable gas stations in the area. Very spacious and I like that there are 2 entry points from both adjacent streets. The store is clean and well stocked. I've been in contact with the manager & the company claims administrator about this issue & so far have gotten no recompense. I've used other car washes, but the marks remain. I work 3rd shift and go in there sometimes at around 10:15pm and the coffee at that time of night is just dreadful. I realize not a lot of people drink coffee at night but they advertise good coffee. Went to this location at 6pm last night.. got chicken tenders.. They were good but they were out of honey mustard (my first choice) and BBQ (my second choice) ugh. Really folks the low reviews must be coming from people who work for competitors because I have been here hundreds of times. Very consistent. I always get one chicken breast , and 99% of the time it's succulent and crispy. Much better than at the chicken chains. Then you will find coffee is all empty, no sugar, no half n half , what they do have is thrown about and dirty looking. My order has been wrong several times, and after a long wait I can't just go back to fix it so now I have to check my meal before I leave and wait for the deli worker to look up so I can grab her attention. I visited this store about 7:45 PM 05/21/17, the clerk was pretty helpful with my questions concerning the ROFO rewards program. And the young man in the kitchen area made a fresh pot of dark roast coffee when I asked. However the guy who packed my chicken tenders and potato wedges did not give me the fresh ones that I could clearly see through the glass. When I opened my box I found chicken tenders that were cold, hard and dry. And my wedges were very small, skinny and also cold. I was very disappointed but I was too far down the road to turn back.
