I've been getting arrangements from Royal Fleur for the past three years now, and asking for "Designer's Choice" arrangements for the past two, and been very pleased by their work. Attached is the one they made for me this year which was my favorite yet. Incredible calla lilies in this one. I have used Royal for 2 years now and they have been fantastic. Not sure what has happened, but they performed terribly for me this past week. They deliver flowers to a friend and left them on the porch of the upstairs neighbor. They DID NOT call the person to confirm or advise of the delivery . They simple left the flowers on the wrong porch. Three days later I learn my friend had not received the flowers. She found them this morning on her neighbors porch dried up and looking puny. I spoke with a man at Royal who was quite rude and offered to take the old flowerers and give me my money back. No explanation as to why he did not call the person to confirm the delivery. (a common practice when no one is home). The combination of poor performance and exceedingly rude behavior on the follow up are the reasons for the poor review. I will no longer use this florist in the future and will advise all who will listen to go elsewhere. read more

Needed to cheer up a friend who recently lost a dog. Since I live in Riverside I had to go online and search for a florist that could help me out. A friend recommended Royal Fleur. I called them and spoke with the owner, she suggested an arrangement and I asked her to send me a photo because I wanted to make sure I would like it. She was very thoughtful and sent me a picture, excellent customer service. I agreed. My friend was beyond happy with her arrangement and sent me a picture of it and it looked identicle to the piicture she sent me. Needless to say it brought a smile to her face and I was very pleased. I was a repeat customer and they either hired somebody new who has no idea what they are doing, or they just gave up trying to run a professional business. I had the single most unprofessional exchange with them for what should be a bread and butter request: 16 roses delivered for an anniversary. My address and credit card were on file... What I expected would take 1 email and 15 mins took 6 painful emails over 6hrs. They couldn't give simple answers or proactive suggestions, instead they gave half answers which forced me to email over and over asking basic things they could have volunteered the first time. It was like a practical joke. What was the problem? Well they only had 14 pink roses, not 16. So they asked if I wanted 14 roses and 2 peonies. No biggie, inventory issues happen. But their reply was so unprofessional and sounded like a half-assed solution. So I asked if they instead had 16 red roses. Shouldnt be hard right? Nope didnt have those either. How about white? Also nope. Ok, well what about those peonies they mentioned, got 16 of those? Yup, finally they had those. Note: they could have volunteered all this information in a 60 second email response with a couple professional suggestions. Instead I had to act like a flower detective trying to interpret their 1 line responses. But wait, it gets better. After 6hrs and 6 emails they then tell me they can't deliver them anyway. They are busy. Seriously, this place is a clown show. Run away. Give your business to somebody that cares. read more

I sent flowers to my cousin as a congratulatory sentiment. She lives in Larkspur and I live in Riverside so it was hard to choose a florist, but I decided on Royal Fleur after viewing their beautiful arrangements on Facebook. I requested white roses and tulips, as these are two of my cousins favourites. Wow!!! I was so happy when she sent me a picture of the beautiful arrangement they sent her. I placed my order, they let me know they didn't have a certain color flower which I said was fine. They delivered on time and the bouquet was beautiful. I absolutely agree with Mary. I tried ordering a simple arrangement here and saw that their minimum for delivery is $35. I called and a lady picked up the phone. I told her that I wanted to order an arrangement and she said ok but hung up on me. I called again and a guy picks up the phone. First of all, he was extremely rude and acted like I was wasting his precious time. I'm using my valuable time just trying to talk to him because I couldn't find a website that I could just order through and wanted to make sure that it gets delivered that day. He said that a delivery to Mill Valley would cost $65! Not including delivery. THESE PEOPLE ARE CHEAPSKATES! THEY ARE THE WORST FLORIST I HAVE EVER TRIED ORDERING FROM! My experience was not unpleasant, but I was NOT pleased with the arrangement that was delivered. The ordering process was easy and the selections online were gorgeous. It was far from the bouquet I selected but more like a vase of flowers I could have easily purchased from Safeway and arranged myself. At first sight, I thought they must have delivered the wrong arrangement but after calling them I wasn't sure that was the case. I called the shop upon seeing the delivered product and they weren't extremely helpful. They listened but weren't apologetic in the least bit. It certainly wasn't the response I would expect to get for spending close to $100. They didn't pull up my order nor did they want to accept my offer to send the picture of the Bouquet I ordered along with the picture of the arrangement that was delivered. I asked for a partial refund and they returned 20% immediately. Unfortunately, the discount didn't even equate to the delivery fee. I personally would not use their services again but I will give them credit for delivering in the timeframe requested, listening to my response, and for at least providing some return credit. read more

I had a very pleasant experience with Royal Fleur! I used this florists to have beautiful long lasting arrangement sent to a friend for her birthday, delivery was to San Rafael. I had no hassles, customer service was great and they were easy to work with. They delivered the flowers to my friends work address and even called me to confirm the delivery. DO NOT GO! HORRIBLE customer service. Rude! Greedy! And here's why... I placed an order for delivery last Sunday morning for flower delivery to Mill Valley (same day, the website said they could deliver on a Sunday.) Upon email notification that they could only deliver on Monday, I understood and cancelled the order. I received email confirmation of my cancellation as well as a phone call and verbal confirmation of the cancellation. To my astonishment the flowers were delivered the following Monday afternoon. They were accepted for delivery as they were sympathy flowers and a surprise so how was the recipient to know to turn them away? How was I to know? After all, I'd had two forms of cancellation verification! When I called Royal Fleur to discuss the matter they were both rude and uncooperative. Claiming that they never received a cancellation notice and that they don't know who I spoke with. They said they wouldn't refund me any amount since they, "went out of the way to Mill Valley to deliver the flowers, why would we waste our time there?" After 20 mins. on the phone with nothing accomplished, I was told this was no longer their problem and they made no effort to remedy the problem. Even after I forwarded Royal Fleur my cancellation email they replied, "You may dispute the charge with your credit card." I've since filed a claim with my CC company but now I'm ever the wiser, and you should be, too. Avoid Royal Fleur! read more

It hard to be disappointed in a bouquet of 2 dozen roses, but this florist managed to do just that. The roses arrived literally just shoved in a clear glass vase. No extra embellishments, except for a few ordinary fern leaves. Even the red bow was like a half-tied shoelace. And all this for over three figures! When we called to express our disappointment, the guy on the phone actually said to me: "The order was roses in a vase, and that's what you got." Unbelievable. I could have gone to Safeway, grabbed a few bunches, and done the same. We will NEVER use this florist, nor recommend to anyone. Im going to try and keep this as professional as I can. Here I am in Iraq, a hard working patriotic American. Trying to order Crystal Champagne gift baskets for my family back home in California for Christmas 2012. I order 4 baskets($1200). Only to be told in their vague as possible email they cannot be shipped to the address's I provided. My understanding was that these orders were canceled, thats what I got out of the email, so I shop on and order elsewhere. 2 WEEKS later, I get billed products they are never intending to deliver to me. I send them an email explaining- they simply say it will take 30-60 days to refund. OK thats a little long but I can understand. 30-60 days come and go with no word. They say there was an error, and it will be processed on the 15th of the month, and if for some reason it doesn't go through then, they will manually process it on the 10th of the next month. Right about now I realize these people are do not want to give me my money back.. Long story short, they have continued to give me every excuse possible to why they havent been able to refund me. From telling me to call on fridays to talk to mythical Mike who works in their bookkeeping department and only comes in on Fridays, but I guess leaves for the day at 12:30 right before I call. To the last email saying they will have to refund me 1 transaction every month, April, May, June, July. ---- You cant make this stuff up.. 1 transaction every month? Im done talking with these people, I asked for my refund in January, its August and I have only been refunded 1 transaction ($320) out of 4 transactions ($1200). These disgusting people are lucky I am back in Iraq for a short time. This isnt about money any more, this is about principle. I will hold this place accountable. I will hold them accountable for the 8+ months they have stole my money. Hopefully they will be charged with Grand Theft when I take them to Court. read more

I called from Southern California for flowers for a friend recuperating in Northern California. It's so hard ordering from someone whose work you have never seen and it's hard to communicate visual concepts with only words but, boy!, did Le Florist come through for me! My friend sent me a pic of the arrangement she received. It was EXACTLY what I had asked for -- striking architectural design with accents of color from flowers. I asked for sunflowers I got beautiful sunflowers sparely accentuated with orchids and what seem to be red peppers. If I had all the flowers in the world to work with and extraordinary design talent this is what I would have HOPED to accomplish. It was beautiful and it was exactly right for a young woman. Last week, I ordered sympathy flowers through FTD and Royal Fleur delivered a small yellow kalanchoe in a wicker basket (instead of the peace lily in a ceramic planter that I had ordered). I called FTD when I saw what was delivered and told them that they needed to redeliver the correct order. The following day, they redelivered but insisted that they had delivered the correct flowers because under 2nd choice it said similar blooming plant in similar container. I suppose that is subjective; but to me, neither the blooming plant nor container were similar to what I ordered. When they did redeliver, they delivered the exact order pictured on the FTD website and I thank them for that. read more

Fabienne and Nicolas did an amazing job on our wedding. The flowers were absolutely perfect. They were better than I even imagined and I was thrilled to walk into the reception and see them. They went above and beyond. We had so many compliments and I could not have been happier. They were extremely accessible via email and were very good about getting right back to me. We met twice before the big day and both times I saw things that I would like changed and they were very open to it. They never made me feel bad for telling them I didn't like it and were happy to go through the process of figuring out what I really wanted. I am so angry and frustrated by the overall service that this place provided that I'm not even going to bash them. I'm just going to state the facts of my experience with this place and leave it up to you to judge. For my birthday, my husband called to have a bouquet of red roses and a box of chocolates delivered to my job. He was quoted one price and was overcharged by about $60. Really?! It would just fine if the arrangement had been worth it but it was the most plain arrangement of red roses I have ever seen in my life, in an ugly vase AND the flowers didn't even look fresh. On top of that, the chocolates delivered were EXPIRED. They had expired back in January 2015 and my delivery happened on 6/25/15...so the chocolates had been expired for 6 months!!! I did call right away in regards to the chocolates being expired and somebody did come by to deliver me another box of chocolates (an "upgrade" they called it) and they were very apologetic about the incident, which I was very appreciative of, up until I found out what had been the cost of this whole experience. $170 for flowers(that sure did NOT look fresh) and expired chocolates?!
