Royal Garage Door Services have been to my house 3 times. The first, about 2-3 yrs. ago, they replaced the motor in my 2 car garage door. Fast, clean and professional. Dandy! Just dandy. The second was 2.5 mos. ago for my one car door. They adjusted the motor but I was advised that this was a band-aid approach. 3 days ago the door was inoperable - just as Xavier predicted. Then after deciding they were the ones we would use on Sunday, they were ready first thing in the morning on Monday to remove, replace, and install a new door. Team of 4 arrived promptly and completed the job in 3 hours and cleaned up thoroughly and also helped us with a new keypad install. I had a 16-year-old Craftsman opener that was doing great until an incompetent handyman punched the wall button in, causing the garage door to open on its own and another company couldn't figure out what the issue was. I knew it was the wall button and as openers usually only last 10-15 years, there was no sense in paying to put in a universal wall button. I got some bids (all said it was the sensor in the damaged wall button) and I liked Virginia and her husband the most. She also cut the power to my wall button at no charge when they came out for my free estimate until my new opener could be installed for safety reaons and their price was the best for installation-only as I was buying my opener at a big box store to save some money. The install went smoothly, the guys were friendly, and I appreciate their 3-5 window. There was one slip-up as the guys put the LED light bulb from my old opener into my new Chamberlain opener which caused the remotes to not have a far range, which I caught the next morning while trying to close the door from my car. Virginia was willing to come out the same day to trouble shoot, but I was getting home late and had heard you can't use LED bulbs in new openers and presumed they had reused mine, which they had. I changed the LED to an incandescent bulb when I got home and both remotes are working fine now. Easy fix. I'm giving 5 stars as Virginia spent a lot of time texting and trying to make things right and she said they normally don't have that issue, but my opener has a warning label about LEDs so it's just super sensitive. She's letting her guys know so other customers won't run into this. Great customer service is really hard to find when something goes wrong and she did not leave me hanging. Phew.
