My last order and delivery, I was $2.00 short because of a price difference from what I wanted and because they out of product I was given a comparable liquor in its place. I get that stores these days want to take advantage of secondary prices for bourbon these days...but this store is the perfect example of that. $399 for Weller 12, $359 for WFP, $99 for KC12? I'm sure folks around here who don't have time to hunt or shop will eventually pay these prices. But these prices are above secondary even, especially with prices falling. read more

They always have what you are looking for. The selection is so broad, it can get a little over whelming. There is always staff on hand to point you in the right direction or make a suggestion. So far, they have never steered me wrong on wine or liquor selections. Beer selection is good. A lot of IPAs, which I dislike, but they pointed me to some that were fairly good. Copy & Paste from Google Review drafted in April of 2018: I looked all over for a bottle of Weller 12 year bourbon. (Yes, it's very hard to find.) So I was super jazzed to hear they had one. I drove to Alpharetta only to find out they aren't charging the retail (MSRP) $30. Nor are they doubling what they charge their customers at $60. They are gouging at $129.99! That isn't capitalism. That's straight up greed. Can't wait to hear the spin they put into their reply. FAST FORWARD (8 Weeks) - Someone from the shop replied to my review and explained that they "accidentally" charged me an extra $100. According to this manager/owner... the bottle should have been $29.99 not $129.99. A week later I called to see about remedying their error and then altering my one-star review. Employee who answered the phone initially couldn't hear me. He then asked me to get off the speakerphone (which I was not on). I could hear the World Cup blasting in the background of Royal Liquor... lol! Then, after explaining things, a manager got on the phone only to hear him express that they always charge $129.99 and that I didn't need to buy the bottle in the first place. Fair enough. But despite his feeling that it isn't, that's gouging the consumer. So he can charge what he likes... and I am free to comment on social media that this store is shady and dishonest and overcharges people. QUESTION: What sort of business expresses in their Google-Review Reply that they made an honest error... only to delete that admission shortly thereafter? ANSWER: A greedy & dishonest one! read more

Open and organized with good prices on beer, wine and spirits. The prices on some of these items are one to two dollars cheaper than other stores in the area. Royal has an Interesting selection of Ports and the French wines might be worth checking out. Good selection, bad service. My boyfriend and I walk in and head to the rye whiskey section for a present for a Manhattan lover. We look pretty young (we are mid 20s) but we still deserve some decent customer service. We didn't know what to get and were approached by a woman about ten minutes after our entrance. When she could not help us, she said she would bring over the whiskey guy. We told her specifically what our criteria was, including a pretty large price tag. (Our gift receiver had very expensive taste). Instead of the guy coming over, she came back and offered one suggestion and left. Thanks.... This is actually is not a bad store but they enjoy marking up hard to find items nearly 250-800%. They have a bottle of "Rip Van Winkle" which should sell for $150 marked up to $400. As the manager stated, he isn't making anyone buy it. I guarantee my business is going elsewhere forever as a result of this type of attitude. They had what I needed for a gift, but they are overpriced. No one greeted me or even acknowledged my presence. Even upon payment the cashier (#5) didn't offer a total just held her hand out for payment. I won't return and will make sure others do not as well. read more
