This place might be a brewery but do not overlook the food! Good beers & drinks but incredible food! It is pricey but it's also very flavorful. They have seasonal menus so it sucks when your favorite item is removed. We're vegetarian and the vegan crab cake burger is absolutely phenomenal! Came here while they had their fun seasonal Christmas themed decorations up. It was very festive and set a fun mood for the night. We did not make reservations and it was very crowded. But luckily we were able to find a spot at the bar and met a fun couple and talked to them the whole night. I ordered a Cousin Eddy's Eggnog which came in a fun moose cup like the movie. I really liked the drink and it was not too strong. My wife ordered the Christmas Cookies with a vodka mixer, and her drink was very strong compared to mine. We ordered some apps - the Sticky Ribs and Fried Green Tomatoes. The couple that we met had also ordered the sticky ribs before us, but I noticed their ribs were smaller and came with 4 ribs. When I got mine, the ribs were larger and only came with 2 ribs. When we asked the bartender about it, he said that it's normally pork ribs, but if they run out they give you beef ribs. I think that's something they need to disclose as some people have food allergies or restrictions on what they can/cannot eat. Not to mention I was hoping to try the pork ribs, which he said tasted better. So I was a little disappointed about that. The fried green tomatoes were "meh". Not our favorite and would not order again, especially not with the $15 price tag. Overall, I liked the themed decorations and the lively atmosphere. Just moved to this side of 400 and have tried this place 3x. We are 1/3. First time the waitreess was rude. Second time we had a great experience and tonight the bar is empty but a few regulars are at the bar and getting the bartenders to break way from their personal chit chat is impossible. Went there on Sunday afternoon for lunch. I had their sour beer with passionfruit syrup, and I didn't like it much (actually didn't even finish it). The kicked of the meal was the cheeseburger. I think there is something so underrated about a really good plain cheeseburger. The meat was juicy and the cheese was melted to perfection. I will say, I felt the waiter disappeared in between waiting for the meal and after she took our plate. We wanted to move tables and couldn't find her to do so, just saw her when she brought the food. I called out another waiter and didn't look at us. Again, the place was empty so it was weird. What a great place! Tim and his staff are first class. We started with the recently released freshly brewed Ventura Highway West Coast pilsner which hit the spot after a long day. Next up was the house made ricotta cheese with honey that was so delicious we couldn't stop eating!!! You can't pass this one up! But we also had the tempura okra and pretzel bites and neither disappointed. For entrees we had the beet salad and the From the Earth with salmon and both were soooo good! If you're looking for a cocktail, try the lemongrass julep. We left before the live music started but I would bet it didn't disappoint either! I visited on a Saturday from lunch and it happened to be restaurant week. There was a special menu for the event. The regular menu had lots of things I would try, but I opted for the special which was three courses. There was a delicious mushroom soup with huge chunks of shiitake mushrooms in a miso broth. Second was breaded chicken with white gravy, whipped potatoes and collard greens. For dessert I had key lime pie. Everything tasted great and was beautiful to look at. I had a flight a beers with lunch and I enjoyed all four small pours. There was a variety of styles available, and other alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. The inside dining room is airy and comfortable. There are large windows looking on to the patio with several tables under a covered area or with umbrellas over them. One end of the dining room has a small stage for performers and there is a bar along the back wall. I was pleased as well with the staff. The host greeted me at the door and found me a table immediately. The server was attentive and gave advice about the menu choices when I asked. He also made sure I had everything I wanted before I left. This place definitely felt fancier than most breweries with kitchens. Billy Carter I appreciate the stoic wisdom of this Georgia homegrown hero, and as a drinker of all things beer, share his philosophy. I'm am as ok with a PBR as with an IPA. With that being said, From The Earth Brewing makes it tough to decide where to start, and maybe even when to end trying out their great lineup. The menus and bartenders do a great job of describing their beers, and haven't had a bad one yet, with yes, some being being better than others, but many much better than other local brewers. FTEBC also has a full bar a creative cocktail menu. The food here is upgraded brewpub done really well. The Brussel Sprouts are really good, and while I am a beer drinking vegetarian, brussel sprouts don't usually make my list of faves. Great apps, salads, and entrees. They have several vegetarian options. Probably the only food critique i have is that they don't have a house made vegetarian patty, and use Beyond Burger. With the quality of the food, I'm sure the kitchen can come up with a great offering, but I'm glad they at least have the option. The vibe is a "classy casual" with a great bar and both inside and outside seating. Overall a great spot for day drinking, business lunch, meetups, or casual date. read more

We have heard many good things about From the Earth Brewing from various friends who have been in the area and tried it, so we have had it on our restaurant bookmarks for a while. I'm not sure if we just happened to come in on an off day or what, but neither hubby nor I were particularly impressed by our first impression here. The place was totally decked out in Christmas decor, which I thought was adorable but my husband was not thrilled about. He thought the decorations looked cheap and tacky, but I disagreed and thought they were festive and fun. We started with the pimento cheese fritters. I ordered a flight of light beers and my husband ordered red wine. For my meal, I ordered the FTE Double stack burger and hubby ordered the fried chicken sandwich. The pimento cheese fritters were okay. They didn't taste bad but they also were not good enough that I would consider reordering them either. The burger was also okay as was the chicken sandwich. Even the beers were just okay and so was the service. Nothing was terrible but nothing was memorable either, which means that the whole experience was pretty meh for us overall. I wouldn't necessarily object to coming back some time for a group event or something if others we were with wanted to visit, but it isn't a place we will be craving for a repeat on either. Considering the rave reviews it tends to receive, I suspect our mediocre experience is not the norm and I hope this proves to be the case if we ever decide to return and give it another chance. read more

Back in 2010, I lived almost directly behind this place. The shopping center was mostly abandoned at that point (the economy was still in a tailspin from the housing crash, which is why I was in Atlanta in the first place), but there was a really random place called Borneo Wings. If you look it up, you'll find my review and I was overjoyed when I discovered this place was owned by Indonesians and they had a secret menu of sorts with all Indonesian delicacies: nasi goreng, beef rendang, nasi lemak... I love Malaysian food, but it's hard to find and Indonesian is close enough that it suffices. But the place was run by a really cute couple who had a baby that was always in the restaurant. It brought a lot of homey atmosphere to me while I was away from home (I moved back to Tucson after completing the contract). Sadly, they closed years ago. But I was really surprised to see a brewery had popped up here (the golf place was there then though). I have a friend that lives in Gwinnett County, so I came to visit her since it turns out I hadn't seen her in 10 years (I didn't even realize it had been that long until I asked her). Back when I lived here, this area was wealthy but still a little rough around the edges. That's very much changed. Everything here is relatively upscale. But the food is excellent, as is the beer. I don't drink anymore (I realized it was eventually going to kill me), but can still taste beer without getting triggered, so I had a taste of their IPA and really enjoyed it. If I come back to the area, I'll be sure to stop by. After I ate here, I rolled by where I used to live and then the Fresh Market on Old Alabama where I would shop. Great food, drinks, and atmosphere! My colleague and I are in town for soma work training and decided to spend our hard earned per diem here for dinner and drinks! We saddled up the bar and Sean immediately got to work preparing our delicious drinks. I had the "Free Fallin" which was superb and the report from my buddy was that the "jimi thing" was also delicious. We shared an order of the pimento cheese fritters as an app....they are amazing! I had the short rib entree that comes with some delicious mashed potatoes. Co-worker enjoyed the shrimp and grits. Sean behind the bar is awesome and made me an off-menu bourbon cocktail that he calls "grandpa's kisses" ....it was absolutely delicious. I went here for the Christmas pop-up, but will be coming back for the Seared Salmon! Unfortunately, I didn't snap a photo because I was way too hungry and couldn't help myself after the first bite hit my palette. The salmon was cooked to absolute perfection, and the butternut squash risotto was just the right pairing. The service was also fantastic, but note that we did have a reservation. A cocktail was a must because this was also a birthday celebration, so I ordered the Candy Cane Lane which included vodka, peppermint liquor, creme burlee liquor, and pink cream. It was a little strong to my liking, but I enjoyed the peppermint flavor. The texture was thick and creamy, so that helped it go down quite smoothly. We came a little too early for the live music and left as the band was setting up, but overall, I had a great experience and will definitely go back during regular season! read more

This place is surprisingly good, borderline great! I say surprisingly because with a lot of micro breweries, food is an obvious after thought but not here... their beer and menu options are all really good. I'll start with their beer, for such a relatively small brewery, they have a large selection with a good variety of beer types. I love that in the hot summers they brew a great tasting Kolsch (my favorite summer beer). I love their porters as well in the colder months. I've never had a bad beer here and the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. Regarding the food, they have a pretty large menu for a brewery and everything tastes great. Lots of options from typical bar food to more flashy options. My favorites are the French Dip sandwich and their smash burger is amazing. This is by far the best brewery option on the north end of town when you're craving locally crafted beer with great food. The ambiance here is what you would expect from a brewery, very casual and laid back. They have a great patio which is surprising considering they're in a strip mall. I was solo and sat at the very long bar. The bar counter top at my end of the bar was dirty so I moved to another cleaner area of the bar. The home brews are very good. I love the Harvest Altbeir. The Philly cheese steak lacked seasoning but otherwise it was good. I ordered collard greens to go with it and they were excellent! I had heard of this place for some time now, but finally got the chance to check it out for some drinks the other weekend. There was a 2 hour wait for a table on a Sunday afternoon, I think because it was a Taylor Swift release party (no, she wasn't there in person). There was a whole section of the menu with drinks dedicated to Taylor and named after her songs. They sometimes have bands play here and I can see how that set up would be a good one. We pulled up to the bar with no wait and even that was crowded, but there were 2 seats next to each other. Their beer selection is great of course and I had a couple of their West Coast style IPAs, which were both excellent. People were ordering food and enjoying it at the bar, but we did not end up getting any food since it was an awkward eating time. The service was great and the interior ambiance modern and cozy. We came here on a brief whim with our dog, Floyd. You can sit outside with your pet and enjoy a cold one. The sun was setting on the late afternoon, casting its warm rays on us while we sipped on our hazy beers and bummed off the WiFi to get some work done. Floyd had a pale of water and was thankful for it too. Nicole ordered a chicken sandwich and I had their cheese steak sandwich, which was a heavy affair but good. Five stars without a doubt!! Where do I even begin. First of all, they really pulled out all the Christmas magic for December 2022. To start I got the Yule Tide Toddy and my boyfriend got the cousin Eddys eggnog, both Christmas specials. Both delicious! You cannot come here and miss out on the pimento cheese fritters. The white bbq sauce and bacon jam were the perfect touches to a dish that I already knew would be my favorite. We also got the shrimp scampi skillet. You're going to want to ask for extra bread, so just go ahead and do it when you put your order in. I could bathe in that sauce!! It was so good. I will be returning just for this dish. Went here for a spontaneous date night since my boyfriend just moved to the area! The cocktails were a bit overpriced but tasted good and my bf ordered two beers he enjoyed. Unfortunately the food was not worth the money, i ordered the steak frites and my steak came out raw and then the server told me they would grill a new one for me but i ended up with the same steak, just came back well done instead of medium rare which is what i asked for originally. My bf got the fish and chips and the fish was hard. The bill ended up being 180+ with tip which was just so overpriced for the quality of the food. Probably wont be back :( read more

Started with Hostess seating us on balancing server load (it wasn't crowded) rather than ask if we had a seating preference. She was less than cordial when we told her where we wanted to sit. The dishes? disappointing. I got their burger and there are no sides included. An expensive burger and crazy price for fries if you want them. The out west beer was good. Server said it was a pint but it looked like an 8oz glass to me. No way it was 16oz. And the cost? Let's just say they must be very proud of their beer. We have eaten here 3 times. First time was during st paddy's day and it was lively, service was great, and the fish and chips were honestly better than most I've had back in Rhode Island and Connecticut. Second time service was very slow and ordered the fish and chips again hoping for the same effect, but was a much smaller portion. Last night, we ended up sitting at the bar and had fantastic service, we sat and ate within 30 minutes which was perfect because we were headed to a concert after. But the fish and chips was a small portion again, almost like fish nuggets- super skinny pieces and not as crispy. For $27 you'd expect a lot more, plus I know it can be better, I just wish it was more consistent! However, all their beers are amazing, the fact that they have such a huge food menu at a brewery is a great concept. Just hoping for more consistency from here! read more

From the Earth is a small local brewery in Roswell and its definitely a should visit! Every holiday, they deck it out with festive decorations and awesome Christmas themed drinks. We were seated outside (with heaters perfect for the cold!) and our waiter was awesome. He was very fast, attentive, and always made sure we were happy and comfortable at our table. I ordered a baileys and vodka drink topped with sprinkles and their FTE burger. The drink was perfect for the Christmas spirit and I thought the burger and fries were pretty good too. I don't know why I always forget about From The Earth Brewing when I'm looking for a place to grab some solid brewpub food and beers, but I'm so glad I finally stopped in during happy hour, although they hadn't started any happy hour specials at the time (Nov 2020). I ordered a beer flight because indecisive me can never decide on just one beer... and I also couldn't commit to a full pour of just one beer I haven't tried before. I love all the seasonal options... so we basically tried one of each. Can't wait to stop in and try some new beers for the fall season! We ordered the FTE pretzel bites after recommendations from our server and OMG so freaking good. They were hot and soft and went well with the IPA mustard and beer cheese dips. The FTE Double Stack is EPIC - a meaty cheesy stack of pure burger goodness. Definitely a great complementary meal for beer drinking. I also couldn't resist the fried chicken, which was simple but delicious. Can't go wrong with either entree. Since I had like 5 other entrees and apps I had wanted to try, I'm definitely going to have to stop back again soon (especially knowing that they have a dog friendly outdoor seating area)! read more

Outstanding Nashville hot fried chicken over Mexican street corn. The dish was OHHHH MY GOODIE TOOOO HOTTIE... in more ways then one, but man o man it was outstanding! Great heat but not overly done. Moist tender chicken fried to perfection and loving laid over a to die for Mexican street corn. I'm telling you... it will blow out your tastebuds! Pair it with their house made Porter beer... midnight rider, and you've got a combination worth writing about!! The beer was so good I bought a 6 pack worth to go and now wish I'd have gotten a truck load! So glad we decided to stay.. at first glance I didn't find something I would eat (tired of eating salad!) but our server (Lauren) approached us and her friendly personality convinced me to stay! We had the pimento cheese fritters, yes it's fried cheese but they were good.. wish it had a little bit more AL sauce & bacon. My friend ordered Steak Frittes, it's the Cowboy butter for me! She did order Medium Well and received Medium - she didn't complain and she felt it could have a little more flavor. I ordered Osso Buco, the grits & mushrooms will win every time! The meat was tender and good but I'm not a fan of working to eat (cutting up the meat and pull out the parts you can't eat) - the flavors were all good and I'd eat it again with chicken or short ribs (not on the menu currently). Number one place is all of East Roswell! There, I said it. They recently had a holiday pop-up, decorated from top to bottom with the most fun holiday cocktails. They always have beer flights, must try them all. But, the food itself never disappoints! I keep thinking about this duck and wishing I could go back more often and eat more and more!
