They bought the van and when my husband and I arrived from out of state 2 days later - he recognized immediately there was a problem with the tires - 3 different brands and the inside of one was cupping. We went back to Garber to show them and the Sales Manager was like 'treads fine, nothing we can do'. Dismissed the issue with the tire and was basically rude and dismissive. He did say he'd "call" - bets on whether he called? So much for certified pre-owned and so many point inspection - obviously they will sell any garbage with no remorse especially to two elderly people. Garber has no shame.

I purchased a car from them on August 7. What started out as a good process, ended up becoming a…read moreheadache. I went in, spoke with Charlie and stated what I was looking for and ended up test driving a car. I was told there was a demo car exactly like what I was looking for and needed to come back later. Once the car arrived on the lot I drove in the look at it. I decided to buy it and this is where it started taking a turn. As I tried to negotiate on price and showed other vehicles identical to this one, I was spoken down to, they started getting quite defensive and made me feel uncomfortable. After agreeing on a price I was told it would take 30 minutes to finalize the paperwork. I submitted all my paperwork, got insurance, and waited to be called back. Come to find out they sent me the wrong VIN so I had to redo my paperwork and it ended up taking 1.5 hours to close on the car. When I was given my interest rate, I was never showed any other banks and was told that due to my situation that was the best rate that I could get. I signed the paperwork and we confirmed that I would pick the car up the next day so they could clean the car (it was a demo so someone was driving it regularly), fill it up, and do an oil change. After I left I called my friend who works in auto financing and she was shocked at the rate they gave me and that they didn't show me any other rates. I called another bank and will be refinancing at HALF the rate they gave me. I told them to reach out to me the next day once the car was ready as I needed to pick it up ASAP due to a family obligation. No call ever came. I had to reach out to them to be told it was ready. When I got there, it was anything but ready. The car was not filled up with gas. The only thing that was cleaned was the windows and outside. I'm still finding food and crumbs throughout the car. When I was being shown how to set it up Charlie opened the arm rest and pulled out trash from the previous driver and just quickly moved on. As I live out of state and had a family obligation I was running short to, I left. I had to fill the car up. I now have to pay to get it detailed inside and out. After spending what I spent on this car, you'd think they'd take the time to ensure the handoff process was as professional as possible. Instead, I got a process where I should feel lucky that I got the car since "there's not a lot of inventory". I won't go back to Al Serra for any of my future purchases. I'd think twice before using them as your next car purchase. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to the survey Chevy sends out to provide my feedback.

They will do the paper work after you drop off your car and you have just signed for service they will quote you one price and if they don't get the job you will have a whole new bill and they will say that is what you signed for when the sheet is blank for charges before they test your car.

Other had told me this place has gotten greedy and overpriced, but I realized for myself that they have started to do quick setailing on the repo cars (not a bad idea) but then they set the prices overly high. If a customer puts in a bid request and BRS doesn't feel it is high enough for them to make profit they never submit it to the lien holder/banks........ Also it seems many of the items on the lot are actually the owner's set there dor resale. Can' blame him for trying to make a buck, but the honesty and fair priced repo's are a thing of the past. All in all they are ok to work with, but as with any transaction, Buyer Beware.

Megan, the GM requested the VIN number, which I provided, but then refused to send the paperwork we needed. Throughout the interaction, she was rude, dismissive, and showed no compassion or professionalism. Losing a loved one is stressful enough without being treated with such a lack of courtesy. Customer service should include respect and empathy, especially when working with families dealing with the loss of a loved one. Unfortunately, that was completely absent in my experience. I sincerely hope Best Recovery Services provides additional customer service training so no one else has to go through what we did.
