I'm not the type of person to leave reviews, but I felt as if this review was needed. Would be 0 stars if one wasn't required. First off, I am not sure how this nail shop is still in business. They do not seem to have professional nail technicians working at this shop. I have been to numerous nail shops before, but since my regular spot was packed, I decided to stop by here. From the looks of it, it seems like this nail shop does not sterilize their tools due to seeing the nail technicians just stuff their tools in a drawer after coming out from the back. Don't tell me the tools are sterilized after a few minutes or some other excuse. The paint job is very sloppy and my cuticles are not even cut well. I will not be coming back to this shop. read more

Worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon! I went in to get 2 manicures and 2 pedicures with a friend and while my friend was getting his feet done the lady mid session stopped and decided to do his nails at the same time not to mention didn't even get all of his cuticles (see picture below) and then she simply told him he was done and moved onto another client!!! As for me I got a gentleman who was very rough doing my pedicure I felt like I was paying to get beat up. He also burned me while putting the hot towel on at the end. And not to mention the lotion they used was a simple hand lotion you get from the store Not only that the person who did my toes was in a hurry and moved me to the nail station to get my no chip done and did so poorly on cleaning up my toes simply look like a toddler did them. Then as I was getting my manicure the guy used the same exact tools for my nails that he used on my feet and there were still cuticles in it and he put it in the water as I was soaking one of my hands! So unsanitary! And not even 5 min from leaving the salon my no chip chipped!!! Absolutely disgusted by this experience and will never be coming back here again! read more

Went in for a last minute pedicure, they were polite enough to take me in last minute which I appreciated. Although if I knew what I was in for, I would have never gone. I asked for a run of the mill, pedicure with a cut down. The lady cut my toenails down past the nail bed, it was so painful I had to ask her three times to stop, she proceeded to cut down the sides of my toenails, making a weird round shape... I again asked her to stop! She seemed upset with me for not wanting round toenails, and I had to ask another employee to attempt to fix what she messed up. Which was impossible at that point. We're past the mail bed, the entire shape is ruined, my square toenails, are now round. Absolutely ridiculous, the nice lady Angel offered to add tips to my big toe nails, just so they would look more even until they grew. I hesitantly agreed, just because I needed them to look normal. That was well over a month ago, my nail bed has still not recovered, and the "rounded shape" the previous lady did has not, and probably will not grow back due to trauma to my nail bed and cuticle area. I went to my regular nail shop, and they told me the way it was cut, so aggressively past the nail bed, and deep into the cuticle. I'm probably stuck having to have acrylics on my big toes for a long time. Horrible experience. If you value simple, clean, natural nails. This isn't your spot. The owner and Angel were very apologetic, but the lady prior seemed annoyed more than anything. There are better places in Geneva who won't traumatize your pedicure. read more

After developing an acrylic allergy months ago, my nails were finally strong enough after a solid year of long stilettos to move on. I'm a very picky person when it comes to my nails, and I researched before I chose a place to try a dip manicure. Cue Royal Nails coming up over and over in my search. I called was given great information over the phone, answering all my questions and concerns. I came in for my manicure and was very impressed. The shop is clean and well taken care of. I was greeted right away, and offered something to drink. I believe Wes the owner is the one who got me all set up and started removing my no chip. Another gentleman finished it up, and then Lily (Lili?) came for my manicure. Everyone was wonderful, and Lily made sure my manicure was perfect. So impressed after my first visit to Royal Nails. I had been very loyal to my old nail salon but after so much turn over, I never seemed to walk out happy with the finished product. I gave Royal Nails a whirl and was immediate in love with the staff and their professionalism. I went during a slower time so was able to talk with Lily, Cindy and Gina at length. Super pleased with my experience here. First off, way bigger than I expected on the inside. Dry clean and well decorated. Tons of chairs and nail stations, and enough techs to service them. I came in today, a Sunday, and I didn't have to wait. Not because the place was empty, but because they had enough staff. I really appreciate not having to wait. Speaking of the staff, everyone was very friendly. Seemed like they enjoy their work instead of having that rushed feeling. Nails turned out great! Very reasonable as well. I went here with my bridal party for my wedding. We had an appointment at 2PM, they were late and didn't start the first pedicure until 2:15, with some not starting until 2:45, despite many technicians being in the shop and us having an appointment booked for weeks ahead of time. The technician doing my pedicure clearly did not know what she was doing until finally someone else took over for her. She painted my nails, and said she was finished, but there were streaks and bubbles in the polish and I had to request that she re-do it. Finally I finished my pedicure and gel manicure after being there over 2 hours. I had my rehearsal dinner that night, and when I got home, my pedicure was chipped on 5 nails. I had to go out that night to buy polish to re-do my pedicure before my wedding day the next morning, despite paying $65 just 6 hours before. I would NOT recommend to anyone. read more

The instruments were all sealed & super clean as well. They really took their time with my manicure/pedicure. They have twelve pedicure massage chairs & fourteen manicure tables. The whole place is very clean which I loved, but the whole time I was getting my nails done I got told "your nails are too long" "I'm tired" "this took me and hour and 30 minutes OK" while sighing. The unnecessary sassiness made me want to get out before he finished my nails. As I was paying I was told it would be $45 dollars. FOR a basic polish acrylic full set. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I have been here 3 times and LOVE this place! They have great costumer service and always do a wonderful job! I got the Dip Manicure and it lasted 3 weeks, no chips! I had to get them redone because my nails were growing so long and I have events coming up but if I didn't then they probably would have lasted about 4 weeks! Nail tech did not use any oil before buffing, creating a dry nail experience, forgot to clean under the nail, and the clear polish was put on carelessly enough for me to take it off when I got home.
