The music they play is so relaxing to the point where I could have almost fallen asleep if I tried. & usually I can't wait to get out for the nail salon. If you do not pay for the extra pedicure fees they offer then they give you below bare minimum. It was cut, file and polish. Came to this nail salon because it was recommended to me. All I have to say is that I really do love coming here. Anna does a great job with my nails and they always look beautiful! The salon is very clean and spacious. Every time I come I notice that the tools are sterilized and use a new nail file which is awesome because many salons don't do this. I always get dip powder for $36 and they last me 3 weeks. They also have numerous pedicure options to choose from if you're looking to get one. I would recommend the callus removal which was $30 I believe. The only reason why I give it four stars is because I always make an appointment and sometimes I've had to wait around 15-20 minutes. This doesn't always happen but it has happened and if i'm making an appointment I wouldn't mind waiting 5 minutes but anything more than that is a lot because I always show up on time and it's courteous. I understand they are busy but just something i have noticed. Overall, I would recommend this nail salon. read more

I'm regretfully posting this but this steady decline in quality has been noticed for a couple of years now. While I used to go here every 2 weeks for my nails, this was the first time I had been back in months & it was a notable difference in disappointment. I like to match my color polish on my pedicure, to the same gel I get with my manicure. First, I was told there was a matching color, but when I went to sit for my manicure I was told there was no match. Ok, so not a big deal---but--- The pedicure was so rushed, and done so poorly that I am slightly embarrassed (see photo). The polish is all over the skin around the nail. When she was filing my nails on my hands to soak off the gel I had on previously, she was so aggressive that she actually hurt my fingers. I asked her to be easy & my knuckles don't bend backwards and she giggled. That aggressive treatment of pulling my fingers, twisting my wrist & elbow to get my hand they way she wanted it really has not happened at any other salon I have been to. It actually was very uncomfortable. When we sat down for The manicure, She asked if I wanted my nails cut or filed. I instructed filed, square with a rounded edge. She literally did nothing of the sort (see photo). She barely filed my nails and the same sloppy result as the toes, gel left on the skin around the nail. I like to be in and out but this entire thing took 50 minutes, for pedicure & gel manicure. It was just very rushed & sloppy. I think the final straw to make my decision not to return was seeing a roach crawling around the floor. I don't blame the salon for that as it could have been a one time thing, but looking around and seeing full bins of used flip flops and napkins laying on the floor, wet towels piled up behind the chairs, I just decided that although it's less expensive than some other salons---this just isn't the place for me anymore. read more

They always do an amazing job! I went in and requested a calligraphy "S" on my nail and with full honesty my tech told me he would try his best to replicate the photo and it came out perfectly!! I was very impressed and had a fun time watching him work and be just as happy about the result as I was. :) He even said if I want any new designs to go to him and we'll try them together. Meh - could have been better. There are so many nail salons in the area, that I am just not a fan and even though it is the closest to my new house - I will not be returning. The facility is cleaned and has a HUGE staff - did not seem like anyone had to wait but almost felt like a factory in a sense. The price was right, I was in and out. But I did like the way my fill-in gel manicure felt when I left. It was too thick for my liking. In addition, I asked for a very small heart on one finger of each hand and the tech basically gave me a "v" on my nail. I did not notice until I got home so I went back to have it fixed and I felt like a bother. The tech said she matched the picture but she very well did not. I did not want to fight I just wanted it painted over and fixed. Another tech did it for me but did not make me feel welcomed. I just moved to the area and I get my nails done every week. this place is getting 2 stairs bc they were able to fit me in last minute but other than that i will never go back. the woman who did my nails didn't soak the old sns off all the way and tried to file it down to where it's not seen but not fully off my nails. i noticed my nails were harder than normal and began to peel the rest of the old powder off and she got annoyed and started to talk about me to the coworker next to me all while acting like she didn't realize she didn't get it off all the way. my mail shapes are not the same and she rushed through the actual manicure part. never again. this place sucks. read more

I first came to Royal Nails because a few ladies at the gym Fit Female recommended the owner for gel manicures. In the beginning, I was very happy with the nail spa. It is very clean, good service, and I love the chair massage while your getting your manicure. Everything was great until I ran a few minutes late due to unknown road construction on Rt 46. The owner Nicole was very arrogant, and rude towards me after being a great customer to her, and tipping very well. Because I was held up due to road closures. I called to say I would be 5 minutes late. I was told no problem. Otherwise I would have rescheduled if being a few minutes late was a big deal. When I arrived Nicole must have mistaken me for a child, and assumed she could talk rude, and disrespectful to me. I could have gave her the same attitude back but I was not going to belittle myself to her level. I took my business to another salon that I patronize in Ft Lee that has been consistent for over 12 years. I decided to give this place a second chance, 2 years later. I did not care for the vibe of the Owners. They are not friendly to every customer that enters for business. I guess it depends on their mood. I went to a mature lady that did my gel manicure, it lasted 3 weeks. The next visit, I was up sold a premium base coat, and my nails did not last 2 weeks. When I went for my third visit, I asked Nicole's husband about the issue with the more expensive base coat, and how my nails looked. This guy had the nerve to become loud, and acted like a complete asshole. I gave it back to him, nice nasty. So he put me with a lady that was very, very nice, she did a great job on my gel manicure. I tipped her well. It's not her fault her bosses are jerks. Another thing that stood out. The Owners speak, and greet the Caucasian customers but never speak to POC. That is a problem for me, if I treat you well, very well mannered, tip well, and you don't treat me right. I will happily spread my cash, where I am treated nicely, and I will share with friends on my social media platforms so that my friends take there business to establishments that treats everyone great. This is a business not an elementary school playground. I give this place 1 star for the cleanliness, and a star for the nice worker. I will never give this place any business nor will I refer any of my friends to this place. There are nice nail salons that have consistent, friendly service for everyone. read more

Susie was great!! She has a great foot massage technique. I didn't feel rushed to give my chair up. She took her time. The icing on the cake was the hot bag placed on my heel to moisturize my heel. Lovely!! My happy Feet were super happy. The manicure was also good. She accommodated my request unusual and she executed perfectly. Massage was fantastic!! Tonight the women was rough with my nails, rude when asked a question, didn't even tough my cuticles, and overall the end result is pretty terrible. I asked her to file more and she snapped at me saying she wasn't done, with the end result being really subpar. Just had the most bizarre encounter with a nail technician named JAMES. I asked him nicely a few times to not over file my nail beds...a recurring problem at this salon as this was my 3rd technician to do so. James threw the largest hissy fit and refused to do my nails. Basically left me hanging with a half done job. His reaction to a customer's request was over blown and completely uncalled for. The owner was unhelpful in the situation and didn't try to help diffuse the situation. He just wanted to pawn me off to another technician to get my money. No apologies. phenomenal pedicure and callous treatment(+8). She took her time making my toes look flawless and I loved the paraffin wax finish,worth the price. My manicure was matte black (5$ extra for matte). Mani pedi was 28. The matte black was a solid 8/10 (a little glossy). This picture is two days after. I had my nails done at 2/3pm, by 10am the next day I had chips. I wish my nails looked as great as they did when I walked out. This place is lovely, clean and has great service (they took me as a walk in right away) but for a manicure that lasted less than 24 hrs might not be running back here for anything past a pedicure. read more

This place is efficient but don't come here for a relaxing time. There is one particular tech who is extremely rude and I've seen other customers complain about her being rude. Today I got stuck with her. She didn't ask what kind of pedicure I wanted, I would've opted for one of the spa pedis or extra massage but she didn't even offer it. She just started on me had an attitude. She didn't even rub my feet! Just my shins for a quick minute. My whole pedicure took 15 mins. I really liked Royal! My friend recommended this salon and I am so glad she did. The girl who normally does my nails is taking a break so I came here and Ended up with Tina. She did an excellent job. I ended up getting a 10 min massage and that was a nice pampering option. Well, i didn't have appointment i called and they told me that if it's just one person i can come that was nice. Price was reasonable at the beginning. Then the lady suggest me to do the gel because it's healthier and she told me the price. Before she does anything she let me know about the prices and i really appreciate that. I said okay then she did gel nails. I showed a picture and she did the based color wrong then i changed my mind and she helped me to decide for the tip color. She was really nice and she did really good job. But even tho for basic design the price goes up 20 dollars and for the little sparkles 5 dollars. It's kinda overpriced. Really, really happy my friend recommended this place. I've been going to the same nail salon for 4 years, but was just content with their work. I decided to give this place a try even though it's almost a 20 minute drive for me. I made an appointment and was seen exactly on time. I was impressed to see how spacious and clean this salon was. They used sterilized tools, not just sanitized tools, on each client (which is mandatory by state but not many salons actually do this) and care about the integrity of your nails. I received a gel powder manicure for $35. My one caveat is that this place may be inconsistent with service. My friend receives two complimentary massages each time she goes, and I did not receive any. I do expect to be treated the same as every other client, especially after leaving a $15 tip for my service. Either way, this is my new nail salon for good. read more
