The larger the group, the cheaper your own total will be! Your Wine Cellar is hidden inside of Brew Kettle and Top Golf in Strongsville, nearby Walmart. Don't be fooled by the outdated Google Images of a place with its own sign - it no longer is labeled clearly. Meg was our host and director of our wine making adventure. She was great! We went through a dozen or so rounds of wine tastings to decide, as a group, what we will make. Each sample is $1 and I only tried a few, sticking mostly to the fruity ones. I liked the California Moscato the best of the whites. I only tried one red, the Diablo. The Diablo was the one we ended up making. The making process took about 10 minutes. We also were able to order food from the Brew Kettle. The food I ordered for lunch will be part of the review I wrote for Brew Kettle, which will be published soon after this one. Overall, I had a fun time with my friends, learning about what kinds of wines we like and don't like. In 8 weeks, we are coming back to bottle and label our wines! This place is an experience; this is their main production facility, which also has a huge bar and restaurant space. It's so well planned; sit wherever, order food at one place, beer at another. They have bar seating, big and small tables, high tops, etc. Even with all the variety, it was still pleasantly loud and busy. At the entrance, you can go to the merchandise area, which is big. They have all their canned selections ready and cold to go as well. To the left of the bar is a self-guided tour hallway, where you can see a lot of the brewery and their huge wall of major beer awards from over the decades. We sat at a high top near the bar; the bartender was so efficient with our beers, there were so many to choose from I only wished we could've stayed longer. It's family friendly with games. Prices are super reasonable for the continued quality and arguably strong beer styles. If you're a beer fan, whether new or a veteran, this is a must-visit regional powerhouse. This massive burger features an 8-ounce patty topped with ghost pepper cheese, Hawaiian BBQ candied jalapeños, bacon, onion straws, a grilled pineapple ring, and a cream cheese jalapeño popper. The flavor combination was outstanding, and the spice had a delayed kick that sneaks up on you a few seconds after each bite. My oldest son went with the BBQ Burger, loaded with smoky BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, house bacon, onion straws, pickles, and horsey sauce. Another excellent choice. To wash it all down, my husband enjoyed two beers: the Hazy Headhunter and Hop Thunder from Down Under, both of which he really liked.
