Cool place with lots of awesome nostalgic stuff to look at, really great and friendly staff, great food

Margarita pizza in a heart shape.

I called to see if Royal Pizza would be able to make this pizza in the shape of a heart to surprise my partner for Valentine's Day! They were nice and said they've never done it before but they would. Pizza was delicious and great service.

    No cheese overpriced pizza

So inconsistent with pizza cheese! I have ordered xtra cheese pizza from here before and it was cheesy as it should be but in the past I've received pizza with hardly any cheese on it and was still charged for the extra cheese. Even one time I got what was clearly a reheated pizza that was sitting there probably for slice sales . So today when I received my all sauce no cheese pizza for $24.85 I called them to ask why . Why does this keep happening and I was told by the manager that they don't weigh the cheese they just throw on what that person feels is enough. Well when I heard that I was speechless and just had to end the call and I'll be taking my pizza business elsewhere and I have lots of pizza worthy events at my home. The manager just said so what . So if you like being lied to and ripped off then buy food from this restaurant. I have been a customer for over 20 years now but it's time to move on.

    The Grecian (half-eaten). SO good!

I feel like I wouldn't typically write a review for a pizza shop, BUT Royal Pizza really is that good. I've lived in the area forever and just hadn't ever thought to try it. In the beginning of COVID, I wanted to support whatever local / small biz I could. I tried Royal and LOVED THE Grecian. I also got homemade dough balls, which they sell for like $1.25 each...and they're made with organic ingredients! I make cast iron pizza often, and every time I do, I get their dough. It's so good! Tonight I tried the cheeseburger pizza and it really is amazing. YUM. I'll continue to support this place!

Following day we got up & headed over to Kingston where he was having a Food Truck pop up and OMG - It did not disappoint, the pizza was well worth the drive, we were mad we didnt stock up and order more! We got the Steak & Chipotle and there were no complaints, burned just the way pizza should be. Flavors were all fresh, Steak was tender & well seasoned. Prices cant be beat! The team was all super friendly on site as well, will definitely be crashing every pop up he has in the future and seriously thinking of having a dinner party JUST to have the oven pull up. He has a portable wood fire oven that he hauls around - its literally the coolest set up! Run, Go Follow the page & find out when the next pop up will be and head right over, you wont be disappointed!!!

I was super intrigued by the idea of what did this operation look like? It's a full fledged kitchen in this guy's garage. I am even more intrigued after leaving the establishment about the guy who makes the pizza. He had a Barstoll magnet on the fridge so I tried to engage in conversation. He seemed annoyed, I wan ted to know if Portnoy had been there. He said some guy came in while he was cutting the grass and he didn't know who he was. I quit while I was ahead. I saw he wanted no conversation. Bummer because a garage pizza establishment for me would include a good garage transaction! That's why they are at 4 stars. Pizza is delicious! Cooked how we ordered (well done) and it all works well together. Right amount of sauce and cheese. Tasted amazing but I have to say this is not my top bar pizza place, it snuck into number 2.

I'd also heard reviews of a " soup-Nazi" like atmosphere in the garage-kitchen, but I only experienced friendly greetings and service. It took several tries to dial in to order and they were running an hour to prepare. They'd even run out of salads! That's saying something! I arrived at my appointed time and pies were just getting boxed up. It's cash only, so come prepared. We had the Greek (feta, tomatoes, olives) and Bacon Cheeseburger. No skimping on toppings--look at the olives! I loved the sauce and the laced edges and perfectly crisp bottom. Will return for the bean special and classic pepperoni.

Thanks Lacey! Nestled on the outskirts of the downtown area. Small town charm inside. Felt like a typical New England breakfast place (the layout.) We went with the potato pie and the buffalo blue (of course laced and well done) Let me tell you- THE CRISP and flavor they get on their crust is what bad bar pie's dream to be! (Even as leftover's the crisp is where it's at.) Now I wish I had tried a traditional pie but I guess that's why we visit places we like twice! They serve hearty pies. Thick, filling. The potato pie... I like what's happening here but I feel like it needs some garlic in those potatoes and need to be mashed more. Kind of chunky. And a little cream helps. The Buffalo blue- this had to the best buffalo pizza I have ever had. Hear me out: I am not a huge buffalo sauce fan. Sometimes it can be too much for me. This was the perfect marriage of cheese to buffalo sauce that it's not overwhelming. Pro tip- dunk it in a little of their blue cheese.

For decades my husband and his family were loyal patrons of Middleboro's, most popular pizza…read morerestaurant, Central Cafe. However, for the past 2 to 3 years, whenever we've visited my husband's hometown, Central Cafe has not lived up to those glorious memories of family dining. In the past year on at least five separate occasions, we have had one bad experience after another ordering from Central Cafe. We've experienced burnt pizzas, stale sub sandwich bread, Caesar salad with NO Caesar dressing available (???), and now the latest order with French fries that tasted as if they'd been sitting in the car for a week!! On top of the downhill trajectory of Central Cafe's food quality, in the past 5 years, their prices have skyrocketed, with some menu items, like their "Meat Lovers" pizza increasing more than 50% in price! On top of the price changes, for more than a year, with their new menu prices in full effect, Central Cafe refused to supply menus to customers that requested them. When my husband asked for a new menu, he was told that they only had the laminated ones available to those ordering from inside the restaurant. On this last occasion, my husband planned to take a picture of the menu when he went to pick up our order, but he was told that "so many people complained that [they] brought [the paper menus] back". As if the doubly-priced subpar food wasn't enough of an insult to its legacy, Central Cafe charges an additional $3.00 "takeout fee", a hidden fee added to all takeout orders that nobody mentions until you question why your total is so high. And if you order "plain chicken fingers", an employee will kindly ask "mild or hot?" in reference to the buffalo sauce (that you did not order) that they charge an extra 75¢ for. For a burnt meatball sub in stale bread comes with soggy fries, an order of chicken fingers, and 2 orders of soggy sweet potato fries, the total of our takeout order was $55 and some change. After calling to confirm the order was correct, that is when we were able to take the 75¢ sauce off of the order, and I decided that $9.00 was just too much for sweet potato fries, especially once we realized they were stale and l most ikely reheated in a microwave. Needless to say, today's visit to Central Cafe is our last. Our previous visit would have been our last, but because of our last visit's lousy food, we were given a gift certificate for the next. In the end, the food we received today wasn't worth the money we paid even with the $25 gift certificate reduction off the total. Longtime patrons of Central Cafe are aging and I would be surprised if they are gaining any new ones. It's time to make a change or they are doomed to fail.
