The service is excellent. The food was average and it was a bit pricey. But it's an MLB ballpark so it's not unexpected. The best part is all the memorabilia- surrounded by Red Sox and MLB history. I wouldn't eat here regularly but it's fun occasionally- especially with guests who have never been there. Take the time to walk around and see everything. I enjoyed my pretzels and the friendly server refreshed my diet soda in a 'to go' cup. You need to be a member or have a day pass plus a game ticket to enter- make sure you get a reservation. The best choice if you're seeing the game on a hot day! The AC feels amazing. You get in very quickly as opposed to the long lines for other gates. They have very short lines at the bar, plenty of open tables, and super clean bathrooms (especially compared to the rest of the stadium). They have lots of fenway history and baseball memorabilia on display here. It's like a museum inside a restaurant. There are no stadium views from inside the royal rooters, so I would definitely recommend coming in before the game to grab food, drinks, and check out the cool displays if you don't want to miss any of the action. read more

Overpriced food but it is a stadium so not sure what you would expect otherwise. Worth it for the amazing memorabilia and the clean restrooms. We were in the first group in for the day and they had a few new menu items. Of them was Chicken Parm and Meatballs in a crock. The server told us the chef had not made them for tasting so I was the first to order the meatballs. Very flavorful but the bread in the cast iron crock didn't serve a huge purpose. Always an experience in here and again worth the price of admission as stated above. read more

The added specialty area has a bar, typical American fare, and historical context from the team's storied past. As you walk in and present your (separate) ticket, you see a wall of bats of Sox past, beyond which is the main bar. Lounge areas surround the bar, spaced to give wide swaths of standing/mingling space for patrons. Obviously, the game is on television within. Walking further off to the side, seating at tables is available, and more history is presented (AL championship trophies, meaningful game-used balls, write-ups on The Splendid Splinter, Yaz, Fisk, Nomar, etc., and rolling video of the runs to the World Series titles, for example). My first visit was during a temperate May night tilt vs. Cleveland (welcome back, Johnny Damon), but where this place will probably really shine is during the stretches of mid-summer heat beating down on fans game after game - to be able to wander into climate control intermittently will probably be a very solid option (you can leave and return with a "ROOT" hand-stamp). The Club is open from two hours prior to first pitch until 45 minutes following last out, which is a decent way to avoid crowds at other local places offering some of the same food and beverage, while soaking up Fenway's aura further. Still, there may be something lacking here in vibe, if only because there's something to being out among the fan base living the moment, rather than watching on a monitor, even if you're just as close. The Red Sox did well to add the Royal Rooters Club as an added season-ticket holder benefit option (and one they can recoup more income for). It's a worthwhile offering, but only as a complement to the game experience, and not as a replacement by any means. Recommended to try it out once if you're able to swing the chance, and experience it for yourself. read more

The very Lovely Kristen and the King of all cocktails make this place the most fun establishment anyone will find in Boston. If you are looking for a bar to feel like home this is the place! Try the Royal Burger and the Veggie Burger and feel free to make yummy noises . On the cocktail front don't hesitate to try either the Bloody Mary and fruit scientific concoction of the day. Kids ? This is the first negative review I wrote in years. I was there with a friend Tuesday night and we both got very sick from eating their food. Come to mind, we had to wait over 45 min for his drink but this was nothing compared to what we had coming. We both ordered nachos to share and cheeseburgers. In the middle of the night, we both had stomach pains and had to run to the bathroom multiple times if you know what I mean. My friend was sicker than I was for two days, throwing up. I have been a Red Sox fan since I opened my eyes in the maternity ward to witness Bill Monbouquette and my beloved team beat the Chicago White Sox at Comiskey Park hours after I was born on August 26, 1959. Although they went on to finish 19 games behind the American League Champion White Sox, I was hooked for life. Fast forward 54 years, season ticket holder of the game and my picture taken on the field with the mascots during pregame ceremonies. Then my very first trip to the Royal Rooter Club. It's a museum. No it's a bar. No, it's a restaurant. No, it is the penultimate hangout for true fans who love baseball and love the Red Sox. Stellar service, great drinks, quality food and wonderful desserts. Tara is an angel who insures all your season ticket holder needs are met. I love this place. I wish I could hang out here on non-game days. Thought there would be more of a beer selection, but only about 3 options. More options in the park. Beer was discounted slightly from the park; $7 opposed to $8.50. Oh Dear this place oughta be a home run. Perfect location. Loads of food service and management know-how on site. Easy sources for food (Aramark, now locally grown produce right at Fenway). But how they manage to be so below mediocre is shocking. They no longer serve the Green Monstah beer. No longer have the heirloom tomoto and mozzerella with balsamic salad that many of us went out of our way for. Staff is friendly but a little lost and it's not their fault. The Royal Rooters Club is a nice pace to go if there is a game delay, cold weather or extremely hot weather. They have a nice bar, lots of food (a bit expensive) and nice memorabilia. The service is very good. My Iphone was dying and I was able to recharge while I had a beer and watched the game on one of the multiple monitors. I saved the best for last. This year they installed our own private BATHROOMS. One for the ladies and one for the men. They are clean and so much nicer than the other facilities that my wife walks over from our seats in section 12 when the need arises. The one drawback is the lack of any view what so ever of our glorious ball yard. I would love even a distant view otherwise the feel of the club is much like the bars surrounding Fenway. Another nice plus (to finish on a positive note) is the club is never over crowded. My season ticket group is very glad we spent the extra money! Go SOX! read more

Finally got to stop into the RRC (2nd to last regular game of the season). Atmosphere is ok -- other than the memorabilia and TVs - it's nothing special, though it's nice to have private bathrooms (but the men's room floor was soaking wet). The food is average. Had the pulled pork sliders and nachos - plus some drinks. I almost started laughing when I saw $7.75 for a soda - really? I'll have a beer almost the same price. Our waitress, Siobhan, was very good. Overall, the food is mediocre and the prices are high (just as you'd expect). read more

I went for the first time un June 25, 2013. The club appears to be old warehouse space that has been renovated into a restaurant/bar. The bar area is decent size and was very nice. The restaurant tables and chairs were more like cafeteria quality(could use a little upgrade there)....BUT your going to a baseball game not a five star restaurant !!!!....The memorabilia is a great selection of old and new... Ruth was our wait staff person, she was very professional and accommodating. The food is basically bar food with a couple upgrades. My friend and I have been season ticket holders for 20 years. When they announced this club my friend and I decided that we would like to get two season tickets to the Royal Rooters Club (RRC) after reading the promotional announcement that they mailed us. I called 6 times to try and get two tickets for $250 for each season ticket seat that we owned, and could never get through. I left messages and they never returned my calls. My friend then tried to get through and finally after two weeks they got back to my friend to tell him that they had sold out and they would put us on a waiting list. My friend was disappointed because he wanted to have access to this new club. Well tonight, Thursday night 6/21/2012, my wife and I were going to the game and I knew it was going to be 96 degrees at game time. I had bought tickets on Ace ticket earlier in the year for the 100 anniversary and I saw that they we selling 1 game tickets for the RRC. I stuffed that in the back of my mind and since it was going to be so hot tonight, I thought this could be a nice oasis to cool down before the game.I went to Ace ticket and found two tickets to RRC for $18! I was elated. So I bought the tickets and my wife and I went before the game. The memorabilia was great but the atmosphere was like a warehouse, everything was overpriced, the service was horrible. We had to fight with our server to get extra salsa for our chicken quesadillas. For two of us we ended up spending $120. We have been going to Audubon for at least 10 years and Island Creek Oyster Bar (and before that Great Bay in Kenmore Sq.) and had sumptuous feasts with great bottles of wine and never spent that much. I texted my friend and told him how lucky we were that the Red Sox never called us back for two weeks and gott shut out from spending $500 for season access. If you are tempted to go (and your should go once to see the memorabilia.. (Babe Ruth's Contract!) go on to Ace Ticket and buy a $9/person single game ticket to get in. Thankfully, they never called us back at the beginning of the season to buy season admission, because we would have wasted $500. read more

Honestly this would be a great option if the food was less expensive. You are looking at basically the same price as the park (on the plus side their hot dogs are much bigger but still run $12). To give you an idea, there were two of us, we ordered: 2 beers, 1 entree and 2 ice cream sundaes and the bill was $65. Food was good, ice cream bar was a little disappointing as it was pretty small. The history in the dining area was very interesting and it was nice to get away to a nice air conditioned area since it was very warm outside. If they decreased their prices it wouldn't be a bad place to go. read more

Nice to visit once..... Bar is way too over crowded, can never get a beer. Wait staff is very friendly, but have to run around like chickens with their heads cut off. Food is so over priced it's really not worth it. What they need to do build is an additional bar, and install more TV's. Also make it free for season ticket holders as we spend an average of $75 a game for drinks and appetizers. And seeing that they have 3 World Series Trophy's now, One of them should always be on display in the club seeing it's a museum as well. Only once in 3 years have I seen it there. read more

its a great respite before, during , or after the game...the memorabilia is great...and the staff could not be more accomodating...prices? yeah it may be a little pricey ...but the food and drink choices "real" nachos, lobster rolls, and great burgers...even an omelette station.. mixed drinks..."real" beer etc. .have it all over the park fare...the option of sitting and relaxing for an inning or two on a "too hot" summer day is inviting...to say nothing of the added benefit of using clean facilities with no lines throughout the game...the fee for joining is now contingent on your season ticket package i.e. how many games ticketed...it is reasonable ...the bartenders, wait staff and the customer service people are top notch...its a win / win read more

Took advantage of a friend giving us 2 tickets to Fenway Box Seats and right to go to Rooter Club. Arrived a little more than an hour before game time to a light crowd in the club. Pinot Noir for my wife good, I enjoyed a Sam Adams Lager. Sharing the lobster roll major mistake! Awful flavor, some bites horribly fishy. Dish included greasy potato chips and a micro amount of awful slaw. A surprisingly low caliber of restaurant food for such a great venue-Fenway! read more

Worst service and experience I have had in Boston to date. Waited almost 20 minutes after being seated for the waiter to come by. Ordered drinks and 3 appetizers. Waited another 40 minutes for one of the three apps to arrive. In the meantime never saw the waiter to refill our now empty glasses. After finishing the pitiful nachos which consisted of tostitos smothered in American cheese and microwaved chili we asked the hostess to track down our waiter. Still nothing. Now over an hour after sitting asked to speak to the manager who assured me he would check on the rest of our order and find our waiter for another round of drinks. The second app arrived and more disappointment. Another 10 minutes and 2 innings into the game we decided to give up on the third app and get the check. Another 10 minutes the check arrives which charged us for a $24 order of wings which we never ordered. Again asked to speak to the manager who said he would take that off the bill. When I asked about the app we never received he said "what do you want me to do, comp your entire bill?!" Unreal. Never again will I waste my time on this place. My wife and I were given great tickets to the ball game, six rows behind the third base dugout. We were very excited as we have never sat that close before. Traffic was a little heavy so we decided to eat at the rooters club instead of Jerry Remy's on boylston street, so we would not be late for the game. Got there at 6 for a 7:10 game. Ordered two burgers and two bud light draft beers. The two warm beers in plastic cups showed up quick enough. We waited an hour and still no food. The waitress came over a couple of times to see if we wanted more beer and said our food would be out shortly. I guess at $9:50 for a draft beer why not push them. You think at that price they could put them in a frosted mug. We finally got up at 7 and went over to the manager, told her we wanted to see the game. I gave her 20 dollars for the two beers and left, she didn't really seem to care. Kind of put a damper on the game had to eat ball park food. Oh I should mention the two burgers were 16 dollars a piece, the bill with tax and tip would of been over 60 dollars for two burgers and two beers. I don't know why they need to rob people but that's a story for another day. read more
