I would give this place ZERO stars if I could... Do not go here!!!! 4 of us went for a quick drink right before the Red Sox game. We were asked from our bartender if we wanted to close the tab or keep it open. We chose to close it out so we can get to our next destination. After receiving the tab of $58 for 2 beers and 2 mixed drinks... we paid the tab immediately. And when I say immediately, I mean the cash couldn't have come out any quicker from my wallet to pay it before he went to wait on another persons order. The bartender than came back to us grabbed the reciept and cash which included the tip and said thank you. 5 mins later another bartender came up to us asking if we need our tab so we can pay . I told her we have already paid but the way her demeanor and tone to us left me feeling some type of way. I told her I paid in cash with 3 $20's, 1 $5 & 3 $1 bills. I told her to the exact dollars. She then went around asking every bartender if they took our cash. Everyone looked around and said they didn't touch it including our own bartender who waited on us AND was the one who took our money. Fast forward I asked for a manager right away because at this point we were being accused of "not paying" from not just 1 but THREE different bartenders at different times. After waiting another 20 mins for the manager to come out after watching the tapes, our bartender came right back out and took ALL the money we handed him out of the tip jar... he knew exactly where he stashed it... The manager came out and apologized saying that it's her best bartender and he would never do such thing. And you know what, he might be and it could've been an innocent mistake, but accusing us of not paying and then taking the money out of the tip jar while he looks shakey and shitting his pants...I would say it wasn't and that he did it on purpose. So looks like I will never give business to Cask N' Flagon and I hope everyone pays close attention when paying tabs anywhere!!! Decent food and proportions. Would come to eat, but not to watch games. Came in 11pm on a Saturday so we had the late night menu option. We ordered boneless buffalo tenders and nachos. Nachos were worth it, the wings were okay. Someone in our group had a peanut allergy and another was gluten free. We were told they're a peanut free place, so that's good. But our server didn't seem to really know if anything was gluten free or not for certain. Like knowing if the chips were going to be flour or corn. Came with a group of 7 before the game. Arrived around 5pm and took 30 minutes or so to be sat. Super busy when we arrived and the energy was high. Menu gave a lot of options and I was able to get the Cesar salad with blacked chicken as a wrap vs salad. The wrap was tasty, chicken a tad dry and could have used a bit more dressing. Sweet potato fries were nice and crisp. As a group got the cauliflower bites (tasty with a slight kick), buffalo chicken dip in bread bowl (tasty as well) and loaded tater tot's (highly recommend). The service was great however one member of the group didn't get their meal as the incorrect prep was out into the system. A little slow but it was a pretty busy Saturday night. we didn't really notice as we came here before a concert and were having a good time catching up. The food was good and not too expensive considering the location. I got the fried chicken sandwich which had a great blend of sweet mango salsa combined with chipotle mayo. They have mostly high rise seating from what I could see, and I'm a bit short so I'm not a huge fan of that but that's just a personal preference. And just a stones throw from the ballpark is Cask'n Flagon which is a sports bar type place with plenty of seating and TVs. To our great surprise we were seated very quickly and that was the theme our entire time there. Our service was excellent in terms of friendliness, speed of taking an order, and our food coming out. Everything was very kind and very prompt considering how busy it was and I was thoroughly impressed. As for the food and drinks, the mixed drinks were not bad but a little sweet for our tastes. The food was typical sports bar food but for its simplicity it was made pretty well. I won't lie... I came in with low expectations and they were far exceeded even if I came in expecting the best. Vibe? Exceptional. Loud. Baseball lovers paradise. Came to Cask'n Flagon for the first time with my girlfriend last night, and left feeling very satisfied! We walked in on a Friday around dinner time, and were seated right away. At first glance, it was a bit loud and crowded (as expected for a sports bar), but the waitstaff took us to a more secluded area within the restaurant (might I mention, unprompted) which was more quiet. This was appreciated! The service was phenomenal, and all of the waitstaff was very friendly. Our food came quick (within 20 minutes) and it was MIGHTY delicious! My girlfriend and I split the Buffalo chicken wrap and grilled chicken focaccia sandwiches. We each order one entree so we could share and split them! On the side we got fries and a Caesar salad-- the salad was a substitute and we were able to order it without any extra charge! The portions were perfect, the food was fresh, and amazing. The grilled chicken sandwich was extremely flavorful and the pesto sauce was one of the best I've ever had. The Buffalo chicken wrap was very good, but slightly messy. I get it, it's a sports bar next to the ballpark. So some exuberance is a bit expected. But Lord, what is with the pounding dance club crap?? I went to Foreigner, Journey, Brian Adams and others, and spent time in rock bars in the 1980's. The music volume in this place was completely ridiculous- no excuse for it. I just wanted to eat nachos and drink beer after a Sox game, but I'm going deaf doing that. The food hasn't even arrived and I know I can't give better than 2 stars due to the poor music decisions. Well, considering what a tourist attraction this is being across from Fenway, so many TVs & large space, you wouldn't guess that it has the best homemade veggie burger in town. Cask'n Flagon was one of those bars. I didn't realize how big the place was, tons of seating and even places to stand. The vibe of the place is cool and there are plenty of tv's to watch sports. However, the food was just your typical bar food and the service was not great. The guy at the entrance was rude and was bending my nephews ID like he was shuffling a deck of cards. We came into Boston for a Red Sox game and found this place looking nice enough to eat. We truly were surprised to see this restaurant only had a 3.3 on yelp as everything we had and experienced exceeded expectations. We were sat outside immediately, and got our drink orders taken within 3 minutes. I personally am never able to make a decision and our server Carlos helped me out with the drink choices! I picked something he suggested they could make that wasn't on the menu, and it was one of the yummiest margaritas I've had recently! For our food we got the steak tips and sweet chili wings and they were both a 10/10. The steak tips came with broccoli instead of a side salad but our server assured it could be switched immediately and apologized for the miscommunication, but we preferred the broccoli anyways! What shocked me was I noticed how Carlos kept an eye on every table without interjecting to bother them. He kept such a good eye on the tables that he noticed someone wobbling in their chair and brought them napkins to even out the ground, and brought me a bunch more napkins when I had ounces of sauce from the wings on my hands and face. I legit found a paper in between my cheese and burger that like comes with cheese in package... the management was terrible at handling the situation super rude & honestly gave a uncomfortable vibe. I found this place looking for something close the venue I was working in this week. I got the clam chowder and the fish sandwich. I Loved both, but the sandwich was outstanding. The batter seemes to have just a little bit of coconut flakes in it. Not enough to stand out, but just enough to give it a little texture and flavor that really works. If I could give 0 stars I would. My friends and I are visiting from out of town to come see a baseball game at Fenway park and received the worst service ever. After the game we went to go eat and stopped here for drinks after. As we ordered 6 beers for 6 people, the bartender mentioned he had to ask his boss if he could serve us... from the start we were getting weird looks and felt a bit uncomfortable? It was pretty empty for a Patriots game during the horrible 2023 season and on Thanksgiving weekend, so this may not be the most representative experience. Service was friendly. The cocktails were surprisingly decent and their menu showed that they are trying to offer both food and drinks beyond the typical sports bar fare.
