STEPH JUDGEMENT: It was certainly a GOOD bar, at least. We'd been having a good time at Sullivan's Tap across the street, but it closed at 11pm and we weren't quite done with our evening. This bar happened to be convenient so we decided to keep going here. First of all, though, that name: They do qualify it with an "in Boston", but there are still a lot of effing bars in Boston. You can say you're great, whatever, but the greatEST? They're already operating from a deficit, imo. But whatevs, we just wanted more drinks. Things were certainly already lively when we joined the mostly business convention-y crowd (judging from all the business casual attire and the lanyards). The place felt kind of cavernous, with two stories. Lots of sports-oriented swag on the walls, and a country-heavy song list, which wasn't really our vibe, but we didn't hate it. The bartenders were cool and the drinks were fine, but couldn't say there was anything extraordinary about the place. We did have a great time, but not because this was the greatEST bar.

I came here for their Halloween party and was super happy with my night! As opposed to doing a bar crawl across Fenway, going between the 4 floors of The Greatest was certainly the move. As a huge Survivor fan, I had been meaning to visit the Survivor Cafe and had no idea it was here! Truly killed two birds with one stone. The music was great, the decor was adorable, the bathrooms were clean, and the staff was helpful during our check-in. The bartenders were super attentive, even in the Halloween craziness, and drinks were reasonably priced. Most of my friends paid between $10-$12 for their drinks, steal! Overall, the might be best bang for your buck in Boston for a night out.

We came here as a group of 4 for the Survivor-themed experience that they are hosting during season 49 and it was great! There was cute theming throughout the two floors reserved for this experience, 3 different challenges you could try, and several photo ops (think: cutouts of Jeff, tribal council chairs, and a voting booth where you get to cast a vote yourself). The ticket was pricey for the slot we selected ($155 for 4 people on a non-episode evening), and the $10 food vouchers per person could not be combined, so we did not end up using them all. It was nice that they controlled the number of tickets sold per timeslot though, so the photo ops and challenges didn't get too crowded. Overall, it was a great experience. Shoutout to the staff members running the challenges who channeled Jeff Probst energy into explaining the challenges, narrating as we competed, and filming for us (especially the guy hosting the bow-shaped balance on Friday night!). They truly made the experience special.

Visited this really great spot before a Bruins game. Out of towner. Loved all the New England sports love surrounding the place. Wish I would have checked out all the floors - I heard the very pleasant man at the front inform people of at least 3 I think. Great drinks. Tasty food. Wonderful service. Would definitely revisit if I'm back in Boston!

We stopped in before we went to the Celtics game and had several drinks. Lots of TVs for the sports enthusiasts. The service was stellar, and the prices were reasonable. We had a really good time.

Got a chance to experience a cool event in Boston as we were waiting for concert. We went to the survivor ultimate fan cafe at the greatest bar in Boston. They had floor 3 and 4 all decked out and even had some games and one of the new ones from this season yet to be seen.

Some of the bartenders could've been a bit friendlier, but the server we had was incredibly attentive and sweet. It's a great place to see a game with a big TV and a decent environment. Only had the salad which was ok! Chicken was a little try but it's a sports bar so expected.

After that, it took about 40 minutes before our server came over to greet us, bring menus, or even ask if we wanted drinks. Waiting that long just to place an order was frustrating, especially considering how empty the restaurant was, there wasn't a game going on so I didn't really understand why it took them that long to send someone ever. Preface we went around 6pm! Once we were finally able to order, it took another 30-40 minutes for our drinks and food to arrive. I've had better experiences here in the past, which is why this visit was so surprising. I understand that off days happen, but the service was unusually slow from start to finish. I hope this was just an isolated experience because the food and atmosphere have been enjoyable on previous visits.

We got a pretty big spread of food (honey bbq tenders, nachos, lobster roll, steak and cheese wontons, and margarita pizza). All of it was very average. The flavors were very average and the quality of the food was nothing special. Wish it was more Seaport quality. It's a bummer since not a single plate was piping hot when it got to our table. Everything was either room temperate or cold. Still a great spot to hang out in the sun outside!

We were asked from our bartender if we wanted to close the tab or keep it open. We chose to close it out so we can get to our next destination. After receiving the tab of $58 for 2 beers and 2 mixed drinks... we paid the tab immediately. And when I say immediately, I mean the cash couldn't have come out any quicker from my wallet to pay it before he went to wait on another persons order. The bartender than came back to us grabbed the reciept and cash which included the tip and said thank you. 5 mins later another bartender came up to us asking if we need our tab so we can pay . I told her we have already paid but the way her demeanor and tone to us left me feeling some type of way. I told her I paid in cash with 3 $20's, 1 $5 & 3 $1 bills. I told her to the exact dollars. She then went around asking every bartender if they took our cash. Everyone looked around and said they didn't touch it including our own bartender who waited on us AND was the one who took our money. Fast forward I asked for a manager right away because at this point we were being accused of "not paying" from not just 1 but THREE different bartenders at different times. After waiting another 20 mins for the manager to come out after watching the tapes, our bartender came right back out and took ALL the money we handed him out of the tip jar... he knew exactly where he stashed it... The manager came out and apologized saying that it's her best bartender and he would never do such thing. And you know what, he might be and it could've been an innocent mistake, but accusing us of not paying and then taking the money out of the tip jar while he looks shakey and shitting his pants...I would say it wasn't and that he did it on purpose. So looks like I will never give business to Cask N' Flagon and I hope everyone pays close attention when paying tabs anywhere!!! Being accused of not paying a tab from 3 different bartenders is disrespectful and very low of a big company.

Jake n JOES was perfect to host this at because it is a New England sports bar with plenty of TVs, a perfect game day menu, and a lively atmosphere to enjoy a game with sports decor surrounding. I'm glad they had this Celtics collab. The event was fun, they had free merch at a table handed out by Celtics cheerleaders and Lucky the Leprechaun. We got there towards the end but scored some merch. We did wait for a table since it was a full house for this, but luckily we scored one with a TV in view. My friends and I got dinner, opted out of drinks this round. I got the chicken quesadilla with a side of spanish rice. The quesadilla was pretty good, but the rice was a little undercooked. They also charged extra for a side of sauce which has never happened before so that was a bummer. I wouldn't have got one if I'd known. Oh well. We then split the cookie sundae which was yummy. Cookie was undercooked and a little raw but it was okay. Still tasted okay, food is always good but nothing to write home about. I like it though. The atmosphere and the shared energy of Boston sports fans being able to come together and enjoy a game makes up for the food being above average. I'll still come back and enjoy a game here.
