My go-to is the Cobb Salad, It comes with Diced Tomatoes, Avocado, Bacon, Bleu Cheese Crumbles, a hard boiled Egg, mixed Greens, and Peppercorn Ranch Dressing. You can add any number of proteins from a large selection (meat or vegetarian options) and a ton of toppings, from cole slaw to chili. I usually add apples and avocado. Recently I changed it up and tried the Harvest Salad. This one is great--comes with Almonds, Green Apples, Dried Cranberries, Feta Cheese & Mixed Greens, with Balsamic Vinaigrette. The only thing I wanted to add that time was steak tips. That might seem expensive at $9 (at the time) but these days, if you think about it, it's fair. I ordered them rare--they were, and they were delicious. Would recommend. We also like the sandwiches and wraps. They make a great Reuben. It has been around 10 years since I dined at the Coolidge Corner Clubhouse. And not because of any prior bad experiences. For many years it was one of the few places in the area where you could grab a beer and enjoy casual dining. But over the years, other local options slowly became available, many offering much better food, so I never felt the need to go back. I can report that not much has changed over the last decade. If your expectation is solely a casual dining experience, expect sticky tables, stained wallpaper, sports bar quality food and music loud enough to have to speak in a loud voice to be heard. Blackened chicken was low quality and very salty. Chili was much better. Served with melted cheese in a crock with tri-colored chips. A solid 3 star rating based on food, ambience and service. Others simply looking to catch a game while enjoying some casual bites to go along with their drinks would be justified in rewarding this place a higher rating. read more

My main knock is that the food is very average bar food while the bar itself is very small and sometimes inefficient with seating. The prices themselves were also pretty exorbitant in my opinion with some options being close to $20 for that quality. Ambience/decor/service: very classic sports bar kinda feel. Always a good time! CCC is in the middle of Coolidge Corner (hence, the name!). There is metered parking up and down Harvard St., but there is a parking lot at 25 Centre St. that is also perfect to park at. We went to CCC last night to watch the Stanley Cup Playoffs! There are no reservations, and you'll be able to walk in and find a table or a seat at the bar. For a Saturday evening at 7PM, we had to wait about 5-10 minutes before a group left. Overall, the service is great! Staff is always friendly. One of my favorite things about CCC is that they not only have bar food, but healthier options - Quinoa Bowl, Salads, Wraps. Ambiance is smaller, local sports bar in a great area if you want to explore Coolidge Corner once you've finished eating. Overall, would recommend for a solid sports bar with ample TVs and food options. Fun late night spot! Came at 10pm on a Monday for some after work snacks, and this place was popping! They had the game on, and it still felt like a lively atmosphere despite the weekday. My side salad was particularly good (very fresh, crisp veggies, good dressing), and my husband's truffle fries were excellent. I am taking a star off because they have a sign outside advertising the BEST lobster rolls in Boston. Which is a bold statement and was enough to lure me inside--only to be disappointed. I had the lobster roll CT style which is served hot with butter. The lobster was overcooked and dry, which is an instant dealbreaker. The seasonings were good and the flavor of the roll was good, but the roll, despite also being dry, broke apart almost immediately, making it difficult to eat. Most of this could have been masked by using enough butter, but alas. Anyway, please don't lie to me about how good your lobster is. I'm going to be bitter about this for a long time, and even though I will probably come back to enjoy sports games and excellent fries/other food, I am going to remember this disappointing lobster roll and be slightly grouchy about it every time I do. read more

I've been here several times over the years, but don't plan to go back anytime soon. The beer list appears very promising, but almost every beer I've had here on draft tastes very bad. I do not think they ever clean their beer lines, or they leave and serve stale beer in the lines for less commonly ordered beers. Tip: only order very common beers on draft or better yet stick to bottles and cans. The service has generally been good, but a recent visit showed how bad it could be. Our server was extremely unfriendly, bordering on rude. Several attempts asking for water from multiple staff members were unsuccessful. Some beers that were ordered were never delivered, but did show up on the bill. The only response from the server was to take the bill away, removing the excess charge, and then slamming the corrected bill back down on the table. No apology for the item never being delivered and still being billed. The food is decent here, but sadly these other things just make it such a disappointing experience. It's unfortunate as this place is very close to my home, but I'll just keep going to the other much better places around. read more

Having a huge menu with far too many choices doesn't mean it's a GOOD menu. My friend and i shared an appetizer of coconut chicken fingers. It was dry as could be, with scarcely any hint of coconut. More like coco-NOT. And the sauce was generic and cloying. My chili appetizer, billed as "hot and spicy" looked like Wendy's chili, except Wendy's is far more flavorful. It was as bland as could be, and in no way hot or spicy. And the way they doled out 3 red chips and 4 blue in a sea of white corn tortilla chips felt either haphazard, cheap, or both. And yeah, the proudly proclaim they are the best bar in Boston. They can't be the "best in Boston" in any category because THEY ARE NOT IN BOSTON BUT BROOKLINE. (Pet peeve.) I've had far better bar food at many other places around Boston, including TGI Fridays, almost any irish pub... This was ALMOST as bad as Applebees. Coolidge corner clubhouse is a fun, nice bar. As far as Boston sports bars go, the bar/restaurant is nice, with an extensive liquor and beer list (35 beers on tap). We sat at the bar for lunch, so we were given the smaller lunch special menu, although I'm sure we would've been given the full menu had we asked. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich (which I added avocado to) with curly fries, which was very good although not too exciting. My boyfriend ordered the steak tips with fries, which came in a barbecue marinade. The steak tip meal came with only 4 steak tips, but were large (according to the menu, .5 lb of steak) Food was okay (although good, just nothing extraordinary) but the extensive drink choices and the ambiance made up for any lacking in food.
