I got the duck and shrimp dish (€20), and it came with exactly 2 pieces of shrimp hidden under the duck. If you're going to get duck, save yourself €2 and go for the duck only (€18). It wouldn't have been so bad, but while the skin was nice and crispy, the meat just didn't taste as fresh as the wrap version. I also ordered the tofu and Chinese mushroom dish (€16). I liked the authentic Chinese flavor a lot! I only wished there was more tofu in it. White rice is an extra 50 cents per bowl, but I'll have to remember for next time that it's a pretty huge bowl. I'd say one bowl is enough for two people. Staff here is as friendly as ever, and the food was served extremely fast. Final verdict: 5+++ stars for lunch, 3.5 stars (rounding up to 4 though) for dinner.

To me, it seemed like the rice roll was made in advance as it had a very chewy texture. They look nice and uniform, but I'd rather have something that tastes good. The biggest disappointment is a dim sum staple, Shui Mai (D02). They were luke warm temperature-wise. And the filling lacked flavor. The balance between the shrimp and pork leaned heavily on the pork, which was a bit gristly. The service is standard for a traditional Chinese restaurant. The staff speak English, Dutch, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Very impressive! They are also well staffed for a Chinese restaurant. The ambiance is the standard fare for a Chinese restaurant too. Focus is on seating, not on decor. There are several dining rooms and there is a case of baked goods at the entrance. Overall, they had some good and not so good items. Pick and choose wisely!

This simple dish definitely had a home-cooked meal kind of vibe. I think the meat was cooked fairly well and was tender and the sauce added some good flavor too. That being said, it was really quite simple, was not that special, and didn't stand out as much as I had hoped. At least the prices are very reasonable. The interior of the restaurant is similar to the dishes in that it is very simple with minimal decor. I think they should really capitalize on the Surinamese theme to add some Surinamese decor and make the place more unique. There was a handful of other people dining in when I was there for weekday lunch. The staff are okay friendliness, although at times it seems like they're just going through the motions to do their jobs. The service speed is super fast though.
