I requested a pick-up at 5:00am, and Joe said he might be 5 or 10 minutes early. He was actually more like 15 minutes early, and texted my phone to let me know: "I'm outside. I'm early. Take your time!" He was cheerful and professional, and regaled my better half and me with local information (for example, I never knew the white sand at the Pensacola beaches were imported from up North), and made sure to point out old neighborhoods in Pensacola that I had said I remembered from a few years back. The taxi ride cost a little more than quotes from other places (it was $50 for the trip from Milton to Pensacola), but when you need to bank on someone actually arriving at your house at 5 in the morning, the peace of mind of knowing they will actually show up (and show up early, even! And with a cheery disposition!) is worth it. Count on Joe for a friendly & dependable ride to your destination. We were very pleased!

My employer has a contract with this company to provide rides for some of our clients who may not…read morehave the money to tip; so very often our clients sit and wait for hours for someone to pick up the trip and give them a ride. Our client's deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. A contract fare means the driver receives a flat rate for the ride so it is easily passed over for something that may pay better. Sadly they end up waiting and waiting. I'm sure the contract they have with our company is quite large. I think if we get enough concerned citizens to speak out against this injustice, and discrimination, it may be enough to convince our employer to consider contracting with a different ztrip service provider!

With all the provided information Thunderbird Taxi managed to arrive before my flight landed and pick up the wrong person. I discovered this when I landed and saw text messages from the driver informing me that they were at the airport waiting for me (well in advance before my landing). How could they expect me to answer the text message if I was still in flight???? Nevertheless, Thunderbird drove off with someone else stating it was because I didn't respond to the text message sent. I called the company back and 45 mins later Mark arrived. He was not wearing any type of face covering. Mark said he didn't believe in Covid and insisted on shaking hands. His appearance was sloppy and he smelled like cigarettes. Mark insisted I sit in the front passenger seat next to him, but I declined. The cab was dirty and also smelled of cigarette smoke. Mark began expressing his political views and scrolling through his cell phone to show me pictures of hurricane damage while the cab was in motion (scary and illegal). Thankfully we made it to our final destination safe and sound. At the height of a pandemic, it is mind-blowing for a cab company/owner to insist on shaking hands, not wearing a mask, and having a filthy cab.
