I never write negative reviews but I had such an awful experience and could never go back there or recommend this business! The manager, Kieu, did not listen to what I wanted. I wanted the $85 set that I prepaid for on line. I reiterated when I got there I only wanted the $85 set and when finished she told me it was $100 more than the money I had prepaid. I felt gas lighted and completely deceived. She told me I had to pay the $100 or she would remove my lashes. I told her to remove them. Now I have to fight AMEX to get my initial credit card payment back. DO NOT GO HERE! This place is a complete rip off, never going back. Not only are my lashes uneven but not even 24 hours later more than half have fallen out. I got 80 lashes and the receptionist (must've been the owner or manager) insisted I got 100 when I confirmed with the lash artist 3 times I got 80 lashes . $200 for 80 lashes??? All she cares about is money. Not to mention I was suppose to get a discount for being a first time customer. I've gotten my lashes done at much nicer places in MANHATTAN and paid half the price for a way better job. This place had no one on it, no wonder. I took a class at Royalty Lash Bar a week ago to learn how to do eyelash extensions. I knew absolutely NOTHING about how to do lashes, and they went above and BEYOND in teaching me! I am so glad I chose to go here to become certified in lash extensions. The girls were super great and helpful! I really liked this place. The owner did such a great job the first time I went. Second time I went, not so much. I was super uncomfortable in one of my eyes, I guess they put the sticker on that they use to hold your bottom lashes on wrong and small part of my left eye was open on the end. I let her know I was feeling uncomfortable but she brushed it off. Halfway through, she got up to go do something and her other employee took over. Then another 20 minutes go by, and the owner comes back and takes over. Now this appointment that normally takes an hour and a half is taking over 2 hours. We finally finish, they take the stickers off, and my eyeball is beet red, tearing everywhere. Clearly they got the glue or something in my eye. I woke up the next morning and my eye was swollen shut. And the best part of it all is that I was maid of honor at a wedding that weekend. I was in so much pain and my eye looked disgusting. My friend that came with me left a deposit to come back and get her mom's eyebrows tattooed. The salon is beautiful and clean; the technician never even told me her name and I believe she was the owner! I am a lash technician, but you can't put them on yourself so I've been trying to find a place that does them the way I like. I explained what I wanted, I stated the shape and length I wish for (I know what I'm talking about considering I do lash extensions myself) and she did the exact opposite of what I wanted. I said natural, lengths 9-11mm, I got 15mm from inner corner to outer corner, no varying lengths, they all hit above my eyebrows... didn't realize this is a natural look? I got my lashes done here a year ago for my birthday and since it's coming up I've been thinking about this experience again and how upset I was about it. The owner was rude to my mother and I and even accused us of shorting her and said we had to come back and pay her more because she didn't want to take out of her tip. The manager comes in and doesn't introduce herself, starts working on my lashes all while pulling my eyes and gluing them shut. They told me one price over the phone and another price in person. I had questions about my eyebrows and she kept on ignoring me as she was too busy looking for her phone and asking the girls to help her find it. When it was time to check out she told me to pay with cash because there is a surcharge for those paying with cards. I then told her this wasn't explained to me over the phone or else I'd have walked with cash. Then she says "Yes, I did tell you over the phone." I clearly remember speaking to someone else over the phone, not the manager. She takes a video of my lashes without my permission and I ask if it's for social media purposes and she says yes. I then tell her I don't do social media and her immediate question is "Are you Muslim?". WHAT DOES MY RELIGION HAVE TO DO WITH ME NOT BEING ON SOCIAL MEDIA.  When I was done she said "You gotta pay". I wasn't going to leave without paying but I was preparing myself to go pay. She kept nagging me to make another appointment. This place is a scam and from the looks of it I don't think the girls in there will last. I have sensitive eyes and I called the customer service and asked if hypoallergenic glue is used. I was told yes. I had such a wonderful experience today with my lash appointment , I highly recommend ! I scheduled for a platinum set of extensions ( 100 lashes each eye) and ended up getting a lash lift and tint after my consultation . Royalty Lash Bar is immaculately clean , modern and elegant . I was greeted promptly and had my consultation with Kieu who looked at my lashes first before recommending that I do a lift and tint as opposed to lash extensions . She explained that I have a LOT of long , strait ( no curl at all )and light colored lashes already , and this option is way more natural and cost effective for me . I really appreciated her guidance and honesty . Kieu could have pushed a more expensive set that would have me returning every 2 weeks , however she recommended what was most appropriate for me . The lift and tint took approximately a half hour , 150$ and lasts 8-10 weeks . My lashes look great , very natural and curled perfectly . I will be returning to tint my bottom lashes in 2 weeks . read more

i went for the first time last year, will NEVER go back. first, she canceled my appointment , then rescheduled, then said she had to make it later in the day because her ONE employee had to leave. like how is that my problem? i wanted a classic set, and the manager insisted that i get the platinum set (the most expensive!!) because it will "make my eyes look better". give the customer what they want. not whats gonna make u the most money. $300 BY THE WAY!! $300 to look like a total clown. i was only able to give her a $7 tip because she took all the money i had so i had no more left, i gave her literally every penny i had left to my name and SHE GAVE ME A DIRTY LOOK WHEN SHE SAW THIS TIP. she saw that i was a young girl who was new to lash extensions and totally took advantage of me. dont EVER go there if u dont wanna be pushed into paying something u dont wanna pay for. read more

Loveeee this place! I've been to a few other places to get my eyelashes done but none have lasted as long as these. Additionally, they actually listen to what you want . My last appointment I was running about 10/15 minutes late due to traffic, they still took me and didn't finish my lashes until about 730, which is 30 minutes after they close. I was looking for a place to get my lashes done last minute and came across Royalty Lash Bar. I wouldn't say that this was the best experience and it wasn't the worst. However after seeing my CC statement I must say that I am very disappointed. First they overcharged me and then fixed it so I had two pending charges, come to find out they actually charged the higher price of the two which is wrong and not right. As for the service it was fine and my lashes look great but overall not the most friendly but she was performing a service and doing her job. Would be nice if she introduced herself. Wow this place is incredible! I've been going here for awhile now and every time the lash technicians truly do a great job. The place is beautiful and my lashes stay on longer than any other place I've been to. I've done research on their product and they don't lie! They do carry only high-end products. I never had a problem with the glue they use on my eyes or the instruments they use. Everything is clean which is not always the case at other places I've been to. This was my first experience with eyelash extensions. The person who did my lashes did a fairly decent job, but the environment left MUCH to be desired. It is a small studio about half the size of my kitchen, with just enough space for a desk and a table. There wasn't even a sink for the woman to wash her hands before touching my eyes with her bare hands. The woman doing my eyelashes was chewing gum the entire time - over my face, in my ear. At first it was someone manageable because there was music playing with frequent profanity blocking the sound of her chomping on her gum, but then the music stopped and all I heard for one hour was her chewing gum. She did not keep me informed with what she was about to do, so I frequently flinched and she was very critical of that. It is hard to stay completely calm in an unsanitary environment with your eyes closed when you do not know what is going on. The setting was far from what the website described and the only reason I even stayed for the appointment was because if I cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, I was going to be charged for the entire service anyway. Please do not be fooled by the other yelp reviews that are all from 2017 (which I did not notice until after my visit). Something MUST have changed since them. read more

i called in and to make an appointment at 10:55 am (after being told by the ABRUPT/rude receptionist to basically make it online myself-and they require your card info.) Made an appointment for 4:30 pm online- there was auto-text sent to me and i went to check on it and clicked on book extension at 5:00pm by accident. So now i have two appointments. Within the next minute, after reading horrifying reviews on yelp and now facebook, i canceled both of my appointments with the warning that if you canceled 4 hours before your appointment you will be charged $50. I canceled at 11am. IT WAS NOT FOUR HOURS BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT. what do i see on my credit card the next day? $100 charged on my credit card. I just called them and there was no answer. Really? now I'm out $100 and have to call up my bank to dispute these charges and wait for it to clear and wait for the balance to go back to my card? BTW, i left a message and no one called me back. NOT A PROFESSIONAL PLACE AT ALL. I later called and the receptionist who picked up refused to believe that I canceled within minutes and said there is a 24 hour cancellation policy and would not budge when it's clear that their genius booking says 4 hours! Not only that but they save your credit card information so god forbid if you click the wrong button! Kieu is beyond rude and unprofessional!!! Honestly doesn't care if her customers are happy or not. ALSO PUSHES FOR A TIP. Don't bother making an appointment. First time here and she never took my temperature or have me sign a waiver but had my friend do it instead. Any questions she had she said "I'm a professional, I'm a professional, I'm a professional." She lays me down to start the lift and never once did she tell me what she was doing step by step since this was my first time here. Then pushes my friend and I to pay an extra $40 to do tint on our bottom lashes and as she gets the tint in my eye proceeds to laugh. My friend then says she doesn't want it and Kieu pushes her to say yes and wouldn't take no as an answer. After we were cleaned up the lashes looked lifted for about 2 hours and after contacting her about this she tells us she's the manager and can't do anything about it. We paid $200 for absolutely no reason. The tint on our bottom lashes is barely visible, our lashes have already fallen and I've paid half this price in NYC for a much better job and much more professional place.
