Cabinet Outlet - Perfect timeless white shaker kitchen with quartz countertops!

The crew at Cabinet Outlets in Santa Rosa did a fantastic job. After soliciting input from four…read morekitchen cabinet and countertop providers, I decided on these guys. Smart choice. They provided the most creative solution, their turnaround time was the best (and they came in under their estimate), their service mentality and willingness to work with you on a challenging 'build' was outstanding, and, they were the most reasonably priced. My project was a garage conversion into an in-law unit, hence space was at a premium, especially around the sink and dishwasher island, and their suggestion to place one upper cabinet on top of another turned out perfectly (right side of picture). And the countertop that they aided in selecting is the perfect match with the rest of the unit (per these totally unbiased eyes). I did the installation myself, but they were super helpful when I had a couple of follow-up items that needed optimizing. However, while I have nothing but superlatives for Cabinet Outlets, it's perhaps the friendliness and folksy tone of the family operated outfit and the manner in which they transact business that impressed me the most, and that is what will drive me back to Piner Road next time I'm doing a home improvement project. Thanks to all of you!! Petter PS - this is my very first yelp review if that is another customer satisfaction indicator...

BACKGROUND: We wanted bookshelves installed above a built-in cabinet unit in our living room. I sent Jitendra a sketch and described what we wanted. From my chicken-scratch sketch, he created a design and mock-up, then measured our space. While measuring, he flagged all existing flaws in the space (uneven/slanted walls) so that we were aware of all inconsistencies upfront. He has amazing attention to detail! RESULTS: We were simply blown away by how well he was able to match the custom shelves to our existing unit; all of the wood looks like it was manufactured at the same time! It truly looks like it was all constructed as one piece from the very beginning, which is exactly what we wanted. In addition, we really appreciate that he took initiative to incorporate crown molding/extra detail on the top of the shelving unit. This is something that I would never have thought to do. WHY YOU SHOULD HIRE HIM: There's good reason why the word "artisan" is in the name of this business. He goes above and beyond on quality, service, and workmanship, AND he's very personable, patient, and kind. I HIGHLY recommend working with Jitendra and his crew; worth every penny!

He made this crazy project of curved barn doors for us and he really put his heart into it, he paid attention to all the details. The result was beautiful. Each and every contractor coming in our house (and we had many) are amazed by his work. He is one of those contractors that you can trust without the need to be worried that things might go wrong. Jitandra is an expert at his craft, kind and down to earth, and we appreciated so much working with him.

The process went very smoothly considering I had already purchased the range top, hood, and sink. I had already selected which quartz I want to use too. I was working with another company, but lost all confidence in them delivering. Submitted for the free quote and Jarren came out to do it. I was very impressed by the detailed analysis and design confirmation of my choices. He already knew how much quartz I would purchase and how I can maximize the material with minimal waste. Not a lot of vendors share this insight on a quote. In addition, I needed a cabinet modification. Switching from cooktop to range top. No one wanted to do the cabinet modification. This was right up Stonecrafts alley. They do cabinets!! Having experience with costs, he was within the range I was expecting, so I was happy to move forward. The installation schedule was shared and executed according to plan. At no point did I have to adjust my plans. The installation team was very professional. I am very happy with the results. I would recommend Stonecraft for your kitchen projects. At the very least give them a chance to earn your business. When I get to a bathroom refresh, I will give Jarren and company a call!! Thank you guys!

Based on our bad experience we do not recommend StoneCraft as a general contractor for a kitchen…read moreremodeling project. StoneCraft subcontracted out various portions of our kitchen remodel project but did a poor job of coordinating, overseeing and communicating with those subcontractors (Team). StoneCraft technically never completed the project not did a StoneCraft representative perform a detailed monitoring of the project as it progressed. Here are a few examples of StoneCraft's lack of oversight and follow through: The Team that demolished the granite countertop did not provide a schematic diagram so that the quartz installation Team would know the correct number of holes necessary for the sink area. They didn't account for the instant hot water dispenser and the associated hose. Weeks later a hole had to be drilled in the already installed quartz countertop. Unfortunately we had to purchase a new instant hot water dispenser because the demolition Team lost or threw away key parts of the old one. After the old granite countertop was demolished and the new quartz countertop installed our Bosch dishwasher no longer worked. It turned out, a hose was damaged during the disconnecting and/or reconnecting of the various hoses underneath the newly installed sink. We had to hire another contractor to diagnose the problem and to fix the dishwasher connections. The StoneCraft representative, Jarren, denied responsibility because, "StoneCraft didn't move the dishwasher during the project". However, StoneCraft, per the contract, removed and reinstalled hoses. The Team installed two electrical outlets that didn't work so they had to be prompted to return to fix the problem. The Team had to be called back to repaint areas of the kitchen ceiling that they initially painted, although poorly. The Team had to reorder the correct kitchen floor tiles twice, once because they brought the wrong pattern and a second time because they didn't bother to look in the boxes to notice the contents were not correct. Finally, the team delivered a pantry door sans a handle (only a hole). Jarren ghosted us so we had to hire a handyman to install a newly purchased door handle. Although hiring StoneCraft was a big mistake we learned a lesson but at least we kept the numerous emails that documented the above ordeal.

Starting with Ernie's initial visit to our house, we knew we were in exceptionally good hands on a project that included full remodels of our kitchen and bathrooms. He spent quite a long time measuring our unusual layout and offering ideas and options based on our real-world use of the spaces, then continued to hear us out and adapt the particulars as he laid out our custom design. The quote was extremely reasonable, especially given the amount of cabinetry and additional panels involved, and Ernie repeatedly adapted to our evolving choices. And the work itself was all drop-dead gorgeous: perfect fits in our very imperfect, uneven old house, with precise lines, a solid feeling of quality, and beautiful finishes and woodgrain matches. Ernie's stated priority is to deliver a product that truly works for his clients and the way they live, and that's exactly what he did for us. As a result, we now have a stunning chef's kitchen that accommodates all our own idiosyncrasies and eccentricities, and bathrooms with "floating" vanities that visually and practically define those remodeled rooms and give us joy every day. I should note that our great experience with Gary's Cabinets followed two false starts with other companies, one with a big box home store and the other with a renowned local kitchen and bath remodeling specialist. The first would have provided us with standardized cookie-cutter cabinets that would never have fit quite right or worked quite right for us. The second would have used higher-quality but still mass-produced cabinets and a design that was more about the contractor's tastes and preferences than ours. By working with Ernie, we instead ended up with surprisingly affordable custom cabinets and storage solutions that anticipate needs we initially hadn't even identified. I cannot recommend these folks more highly, and would never consider anyone else for any future cabinetry work we might do.

Ernie (owner) started by meeting with us at his shop to go through "Cabinets 101." Although I had worked building cabinets for many years, I learned quite a bit from his presentation. Ernie asks pertinent questions on almost all aspects of the things people are looking for. His queries streamlined the process and helped guide our decisions. I think he goes through the process as much to help himself as to help his clients. No surprises make for a happy customer. They did our kitchen, utility/laundry room, pantry, 3 bathrooms, and a hall linen cabinet. There were some areas we had to work through, but when all is said and done, we are very satisfied. The cabinets are exactly what we wanted and the install is great. They finished up the job by doing a final run through making sure everything was in order. Their installer Shane is a wizard when it comes to installing and finishing. I recommend and would use them again.
