This meant toilet water leaked underneath for years, creating a breeding ground for mold. * Shower Leak: He didn't even bother to use Teflon tape to seal the shower pipes, causing water to drip inside the walls, fueling even more mold growth. Because of Alan's shoddy work, our entire restroom was infested with mold, which then spread to our garage and living room. Worst of all, my son, who has been using that restroom daily, has been sick for over two years--all because of Alan's negligence. Raquel and Diego came in and not only gave us some great ideas about possible changes but really thought outside the box in terms of coming up with solutions. For example, switching out an old gas range with a bad downdraft vent led to new venting options and our being able to use the previous venting for the new electrical needed to power a new easy-to-keep-clean induction range. This meant we didn't have to rip up the ceiling to run a new 220 electrical line. Additionally, we wanted to replace the existing two-tiered kitchen island covered in grouted tile with a single level of stainless steel. Apparently, stainless steel is a choice not many people make, but Raquel did the research and found a sub-contractor that did outstanding work. We're extremely happy with the result. Raquel was great about meeting with us to talk design choices, Diego was great about keeping everything on time and on budget. Communication with both was great throughout. We would recommend Raquel and Diego highly and would definitely use D&R again in the future.

She has lived in or around my neighborhood for decades and I liked that her shop was just up the street. Her crew was very respectful, professional, always on time and willing to answer any (and all!) questions. It was a long project and there were usually two people in our house for 6 weeks. Like I said - it was a full gut to the studs and then built back out. The project was completed on time and the changes to quote/contract were only due to requests and changes we made. There were never any surprises. They laid down floor coverings every morning to protect the hallway, front entry and bedroom and then cleaned up every day when they left. They did our master bathroom first. They ripped out a 40+year old tub/shower combo insert, toilet, vanity, mirror, popcorn ceiling, etc. They built a custom shower floor, moved the drain and installed new plumbing. They tiled the floor, the walk-in shower and a full wall of tile behind the toilet and vanity. The end result was beautiful and the work was fantastic. There will always be questions and some touch up on a project this size but they were always quick to fix anything that I noticed seemed "off" to me and even came back on a Saturday to check on a non-emergency item that they knew we were anxious to have completed. They did the guest bathroom after the master was complete. Same thing - ripped out an old tub/shower insert, removed everything down to the studs, removed popcorn, etc. They then installed a brand new tub, toilet, plumbing, vanity, mirror, and added some electrical. They tiled the floor and around the shower, build a custom shelf at one end of the tub, installed a light tube (a great way to bring natural light into a dark bathroom/hallway!) and installed the vanity, mirror and lights. Joy and her team were a pleasure to work with and very helpful when I had questions about some final decisions I had to make. They offered suggestions when I asked. Of course we can go with IKEA partner - but they are kinda on the expensive side and so swapped due to the sales event. I met with Joy and Donna - both are very knowledgeable and decided to work with them. Joy's crew worked hard to stick with the agreed timeline and the quality is beyond expectation. From the very beginning the quote Joy sent over was itemized, clear and precise. They also have a very comprehensive contract to sign with you (I was surprised to see some of the companies dont do that!). Before signing - all the terms and clauses are carefully explained. During the process - her crew is NEVER LATE. Actually they are often early! Martinez led the project and he is very dedicated, detail oriented and patient. He helped answer all my questions (yes it is very important for a remodeling new-bee). Whenever there is a problem he would always make sure to walk me through the options and offer his professional opinion. The office crew is amazing to work with as well - they are very responsive, willing to listen and accommodate. My partner and I recently bought a custom home in Round Rock and was connected through High Tech Flooring and Design to look at the different options and upgrades that we could include the house. The representative was super nice and supportive in helping us pick our our design and going through all the options to have available. In the sense, we also felt compelled to upgrade both the carpet and Padding, specifically the spill guard and upgraded carpet pile lengths. After 2 months later, and closing on the house, we noticed one of our floor was really squeaky and had to pull up the carpet to make sure we can drill it in.... and upon inspection, we realized what was installed was not the correct padding or carpet length. (Pictures displayed between sample and our carpet padding.) Spillguard is on the left (what we ordered). WE would not have known if we didn't have to also fix the squeaky floors - It's been difficult to get them to verify the correct padding, and getting a response from the office on how we can get it resolved. We brought it up, and requested that they bring in movers to help move the furniture and replace it, we're still in the process. They also had movers who wouldn't move back everything as requested - which made it difficult since my partner just had surgery on a torn ACL which meant we still had to request friends to support for something the company did wrong. They would also not verify the correct carpet that we upgraded. At this point, we believe this may have been an intentional intent to help save the company money. I believe they were banking that the new home builders would not have checked on the material that they purchased to help save on costs. MY recommendation - For anyone ordering carpet from High Tech Flooring, make sure you have proper documentation and verify when they are installing to ensure the correct flooring during the process.

Horton home, and the doors, door frames, walls, baseboards, quarter round, and flooring was in absolute perfect condition. Shortly after close, I hired High Tech Flooring & Design to replace the carpet in all bedrooms, closets, and master bathroom with the same flooring installed in the main areas of my home. I am HORRIFIED to say that they did a HORRENDOUS job and are refusing to repair the damages, which amount to the cost of the entire installation based on a quote received from a trusted third party general contractor. When I went to inspect the home, I was appalled to find the floors and baseboards covered in sawdust, the walls, doors, door frames, baseboards, and quarter round damaged. The wall texture has been damaged, there are marks, smears, and scrapes on the walls. The baseboards are absolutely shot to hell with dents, black scuffs and scrapes, the boards are splitting where they meet quarter round. The quarter round was installed so badly that it is splitting where it meets the baseboard, doesn't even flush with the baseboard, and there are exposed nails and wood chipping off the quarter round and baseboards. My bedroom doors have chunks coming out of them where the installers knocked the flooring into the door, and all door frames have chunks missing or have been scuffed, marked, dented, and damaged. They also uninstalled my toilet and attempted to reinstall it. However, I have zero confidence that they reinstalled it properly based on the abominable work performed thus far. As such, they need to hire a professional plumbing company to reinstall the toilet properly. When I confronted the project manager, Enrique Juarez, he told me I should expect damages and it was on me to cover the repairs. I attempted to reach his superior but am currently being stonewalled by the company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, as they are not ethical and do not care about the quality of services they provide, or in this case, didn't provide.
