First, I want to apologize to Amanda and the team for my delay in writing this review. Where do I start? RPM Autohaus is an amazing establishment with employees that are skilled, take pride in their work, and have a strong focus on customer service. To try to shorten the story; I passed down my Mercury Mariner to my son when he was 17. A year later, he was rear-ended and his ride was deemed a complete loss. He ended up getting a used 2008 VW Passat from a used car dealership in Fredericksburg, VA BUT we bought the extended warranty. This comes in to play later. Within 4 months, his VW started having issues, such as the "low oil" light coming on or the "check engine" light illuminating. It began to run really rough and had front end shake. We contacted the dealership AND the warranty company - both of whom told us to bring it to the dealership for repair. They said the turbo had gone rogue and needed to be replaced - OK, about a $3000.00 repair for a $500.00 deductible. Little things cropped up but when my son joined the Army - his car started to ride really rough and the 'check engine' light kept coming on. A friend with a code reader said there was a misfire in cylinder 3. We reset it and kept going. Fast forward to my son going to boot camp, graduating boot camp, and getting assigned to Ft. Hood, Texas. I didn't want him having to deal with a car issue in Texas so I took his VW to RPM Autohaus to diagnose the constant "check engine" light before I sent his car to Texas. They determined that cylinder 3 had issues and bottom line is that a partial engine rebuild was necessary. They showed me the scoring in the engine and fully demonstrated how the heads and cams were damaged. Clearly, we got a lemon when we bought this VW. Either way, they ended up doing an engine rebuild - Amanda was amazing. She kept me informed, as did the mechanics working on the vehicle. The warranty company balked at the bill and RPM did their magic and negotiated with the warranty company - most of the repairs were paid for (even though they exceeded the value of the car). I decided to drive his car to Texas from Virginia - I'm retired and have the time. Anyway, I made the 1600 mile trek from Manassas to Killeen, Texas and the car ran like a champ! Fast, smooth, no issues. We were 43 miles from my parent's house in Hurst, Texas and the 'check engine' light, "EPC" light came on and had severe front end shake upon acceleration. Pulled off the highway and the V-Dub just wouldn't start. USAA provided roadside assistance and I left a message for RPM Autohaus. I had the car towed to a mechanic close to my parents and I was so impressed that RPM contacted the mechanic in Hurst, Texas! Turns out that the issue was COMPLETELY UNRELATED to the work that was done. It was a fuel injector issue on one of the cylinders. Sal offered to fly to Texas to diagnose my son's car and to meet with the mechanic - much appreciated but not needed. Their communication was terrific and I ended up getting all 4 fuel injectors replaced and now my soldier is reunited with his car and all is well. I've referred my dentist and a co-worker to RPM. Both of them sing the praises - I love they are veteran-owned, no BS, and focused on customer satisfaction! HIGHLY recommend!!! read more

What an absolute nightmare! RPM had possession of my Porsche for a staggering 14 months. Throughout this ordeal, I received conflicting and inaccurate information about the car's status. I was told various stories, from the original technician leaving, uncooperative Porsche dealers, to receiving supposedly new parts that turned out to be defective, necessitating reordering. The frustration continued when I was called to pick up my car on three separate occasions. The first time, to my dismay, I found that the same problems I had reported two months earlier were still unresolved. The windows, trunk, spoiler, and seat were all still malfunctioning. To make matters worse, I was then informed of additional delays, with the excuse that the keys needed calibration. I was told that my car had been taken to Charlottesville Porsche for this purpose, but when I reached out to them, they denied ever having received my car and stated that they only needed the serial number. Upon my second attempt to retrieve the car, I was met with even more disappointment. The interior convertible roof liner was torn and detached, and the car itself was filthy and moldy. This was particularly distressing since I had been assured that my meticulously cared-for car would not be subjected to the elements and would always be stored properly. I escalated the matter to the owners of RPM, who initially seemed concerned about my grievances. They assured me that the car would receive a new roof liner and a thorough cleaning and detailing. However, when I eventually picked up the car, it was evident that these promises had not been fulfilled. The car had only been minimally vacuumed, and the condition of the vehicle was far from satisfactory. To compound matters, I discovered a crease on the front left panel and a bent license plate, as if the car had been involved in an accident. Despite my attempts to communicate with the owners, I have been met with silence. Requests for them to call me have been met with the same response - they are conveniently out of the country. Even though the owner's initial response via LinkedIn was made while she was out of the country. Adding to my frustrations, I am still missing a key, and never received replacement fobs. The old ones do not function remotely. I showed remarkable patience and understanding with RPM over the course of many months, only to be met with dishonesty and an utter lack of respect for my property. I am still maintaining optimism that Amanda and Samuel Rachidi, the proprietors of RPM, will eventually provide a response. Despite the challenges, I am holding onto the hope that they will acknowledge and address the issues I've encountered. read more

RPM Autohaus is a God send to the Gainesville-Haymarket area! Finally, an auto repair service in the area that really understands how to work on German, luxury cars and offers absolute amazing customer service! I took my 750 Li BMW to RPM after having several terrible experiences with one of the other local well known auto mechanic shops in Gainesville. RPM listened to my concerns; assessed my vehicle, and then they actually brought me in and allowed me to look under the hood and car and showed me exactly what was wrong with the vehicle and why it needed to be fixed. They took the time to educate me on the necessity of the repairs and provided me with a "get well" plan and priority list towards future work and fair estimates that are necessary to restore my car back to its optimum condition. Unlike when I took it to the other mechanic in Gainesville, I left with the confidence that the work was done correctly and that the mechanics at RPM were really interested in getting the work right the first time and offering great customer service. And guess what? They did not try to take advantage of me with exorbitant pricing and labor costs. The owner actually encouraged me to check to see what BMW would charge and to compare their pricing. And it was significantly less! It finally feels good to have a auto mechanic shop that you can trust, that's not trying to push you into needless work, not charging you dealership prices for shotty work, and has the experienced personnel to work on BMWs, and other luxury cars. I promise you if you give RPM a try, you will not be disappointed! Lastly, I think the two of the most impressive things about my experience were: 1.) Because they were out of loaners, the owner gave me his Mercedes as a loaner so that I didn't have to rent a car while my car was being repaired; and 2.) when I came back for my car, RPM had washed it, cleaned out the inside, and buffed out a mark that was on the outside of the car! Now, that's great service! I promise you, you will not go wrong with RPM. I'm telling everybody with a BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagon, or any other luxury or German car about RPM! Being an owner of an Audi, I can tell you that I am so pleased that this shop is near me. I took my car in today for an alignment and was greeted with so much kindness, unlike most shops who try to rush you to do or explain things. I have ST coilovers and had recently put on new tires and adjusted my ride height for my "in-between" for winter and summer. I wish I had known about RPM before going to the other shops in the area. They will also be a software tuning specialist in the near future so I am excited about that as well. I will just wait for them to get set up since I am in no immediate rush and would gladly give them my business over having to drive across state or be put on some back log by another local shop. All the technicians are thorough and professional... Again, unlike most other shops where it looks like they just found their techs off the street. Their pricing is competitive too! My alignment was cheaper than other shops and they have state of the art new equipment. The owner even gave me a quick tour of their facility. I have a feeling these guys are going to be getting very busy in the near future just from word of mouth. Their service, commitment, and competent technicians are top notch. I highly recommend this shop and will be bringing all my cars here, including my Porsche, for service. Finally, a shop I have confidence in. Try them, you won't be disappointed! Our 2011 BMW X5 had a binding issue in turns. We took it to the dealer in Sterling with no resolution. We took it to a Audi shop in Warrenton with no resolution. We took it to a German vehicle shop in Sterling with no resolution. We took it to a BMW mechanic near us with no resolution. I had given up until by chance I come upon RPM Autohaus looking for something else. Their reviews were so great I thought I would give them a chance. We were not disappointed. The Audi mechanic, Scott Wilson was fantastic. He went out with us on a drive to diagnose the problem. He said he had a good hunch what it was. The owners Amanda and Sam are also extremely customer oriented. Scott called me and gave me a complete run down on what had transpired in addressing the problem. Needless to say, the problem is fixed and for far less than what we anticipated. Scott also took us on a test drive when we picked up the car to assure us the problem was fixed. I am very impressed by RPM would highly recommend them! With my car still under an extended warranty, this is where it was suggested I go. I spoke with Amanda on the phone first as I was stuck in a parking lot unable to start my finicky car. When I arrived at the shop, both she & Sam listened to my cars history to try & brainstorm the issue on what to check first; turns out, it was the starter and a leak in my transmission. They had it resolved and fixed in a day and all is well. I just really appreciate the great customer service and friendly attitudes. I brought my SLK here for the first time a week ago for my Service B. I would have to pay $600+ at a benz dealership. I was paying at a much happier price here and I don't have to waste my time going all the way out in Tysons. It's very convenient to have this location here to service my car and they did a great job!! Most of all, I'm a person that care about businesses who valued good customer service and treat their clients with respect. Took our 2007 Lexus RX350 and 2008 BMW 328i here, pleased to say the whole experience was nothing short of perfect. A kind and knowledgeable staff really made it a reassuring environment. I was especially impressed by Scott's (the BMW technician) vast knowledge and experience on repairing BMWs and telling me what repairs were necessary on our car, the repair I ended up doing here costed me less than half than what the BMW dealership quoted me for the same repair! All in all I'm am very happy with this independent shop for their pricing, knowledge of cars, complete honesty, kindness and high quality of work. What can I say about my experience with RPM Autohaus. My experience was nothing short of SIMPLY AMAZING! Sam, Amanda and their team were GREAT. There were a few German repair shops I had planned to take my A5 to but took it on a referral to go here for their great work and honesty. I am super happy that my car was taken cared of. My car was involved in an accident, after the body shop repaired the obvious damage we discovered additional damage. Sam went out of his way, spoke with my insurance company's adjusters and was able to convince them the damage was from the accident. My interactions with Sam was the one bright spot in a month long ordeal. I was concerned about the fan running constantly on my BMW. Considering the mileage I fully expected to learn my water pump would need to be replaced.
