This is an amazing and wonderful place in the Lawrenceville downtown area. It is located next to the Lawrenceville park. There's plenty of parking space in the parks parking lot. We celebrated a birthday party with about seven of us sitted outside on a hot Saturday evening. The place reminds me of sitting on Puerto Rico sipping cool drinks. Our server, Julian is outstanding! He was very professional, patient and excellent listening skills. It always makes our dinning great when we have a wonderful and understanding server. My partner and I visited the Lawrenceville location on March 27, 2026 at about 1:30 pm for lunch. We walked in and there were about 7 staff memes hanging out at the host station and one immediately took us to a table. There was a manager (presumably) doing an interview at the table by the door. Though just hustle and bustle I arrived at the table about 20 seconds later than my partner and the hostess was already headed back to the hangout spot, so I missed her speil about the QR code menu. We were seated in the patio/sun room, which was very hot and loud. I was immediately annoyed and my partner said we weren't given the option to sit "inside". We were immediately greeted by a waitress (I'm seated but my purse is still in my hand/on the table). I try not to judge a book by its cover, but this is food service, this girl was FILTHY! She put the water on the table and I noticed she had 2 mystery globs of food on her hands. Ew. She explained she was in training and would be helping us. Ok, but still, wash your hands? She asked for our drink orders and I explained that I hadn't had a change to even open to menu yet. Didn't matter to our girl, she just pressed on talking about the menu, which I again explained I haven't looked at since idk what she is referring to. She again asked for the drink orders. My partner (who works in the restaurant industry) asked her to give us more time. I pulled up the menu as soon as she walked off and she sees that I have my phone out and IMMEDIATELY returns to the table to talk to us about Salas. Meanwhile I was still trying to pick a drink! I told her I was overwhelmed and needed time. She left again and then the walls came down... literally! They "rolled down" The glass walls to turn the already hot sun room into a patio. I have allergies and the entire outside is covered in pollen, I don't want to sit on a patio and sneeze into my food. My partner suggested that we just leave and go elsewhere. The bartenders hanging out behind theoutside bar watched us get up and exit. As did our server, the gaggle of staff at the front desk, an the manager sitting by the door. Not one single person attempted to extend any customer service. Long story short, we went down the road to Frida's where the parking was free, the chips and salsa is free, the staff and restaurant are clean, and we were given the option of indoors or patio. read more

The family and I had a great night out on a Tuesday to celebrate a birthday (and there were at least 3 other birthdays celebrating at the time as us). The restaurant is conveniently located in the DTL just behind Lawrenceville Lawn. There's a small parking lot between the Lawn and Rreal Tacos that has a good amount of parking, but could be full depending on what is going on at the Lawn and surrounding areas. There are also many other lots surrounding Rreal Tacos that may be used (including Southlawn). Reservations are recommended. I absolutely love Real Tacos, and the Lawrenceville location did not disappoint at all. You can really tell how fresh everything is, from the food to the overall experience. My forever favorites are the pork belly tacos and the picanha tacos. If I'm not mistaken, the pork belly tacos used to come with pineapple before, and now they only have onions. I truly miss that pineapple because it added such a special sweet touch. They are still delicious, but that little detail made them next level for me. The service was honestly a 10 out of 10. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and super fast. I also love that this location has a patio where you can sit outside, which is perfect on a nice day. Their cocktail menu is extensive and everything I've tried has been amazing. They also offer non alcoholic cocktails, which is great if you don't feel like drinking alcohol or if you're with kids. One thing I really appreciate is that they serve the salsas separately so you can help yourself and choose how much you want. One of my favorite dishes aside from the tacos is their esquites, which are a solid 10 out of 10. The costra tacos wrapped in cheese are also very popular and for good reason because they are insanely good. The only thing I would change is that they don't serve complimentary chips. For a Mexican restaurant, that feels a little sad since it's something we all expect, but that's just a personal wish. Everything else makes up for it. The place is spacious, very clean, the bathrooms are spotless, and the food comes out quickly. The picanha tacos with chimichurri and pickled onions are perfection. They also have 11 locations across Georgia, so even if Lawrenceville isn't close to you, it's worth visiting the one nearest to you. Don't skip dessert either because their tres leches is delicious. This was the newest location of RReal taco. We could not make reservations because at that time it was not allowed. Probably because it was just opened and they were not ready or capable to take reservations. The line was wrapped outside the door for people waiting to get tables. I guess this is downtown Lawrenceville so there was nowhere to park. We did end up parking across the street somewhere. It was free parking there. I didn't see where there was street parking available. I know the food truck was out front and that took up parking if you are able to park there. It is close to apartment buildings and perhaps you could find parking there but everywhere we went it was very congested. One of the reasons I wanted to come here was because they have these speciality drinks called Margarita flight,Flavored Titanic and Titanics. I couldn't order either because you had to have a minimum of 4 guests. It was only 2 of us so that really disappointed me. At some point I will probably go back with friends but I was super excited to give those a try. Once we finally got in it didn't take really long for us to be seated. It was lots of people inside so the noise level was a little loud. The waitress was nice and the food was good. We ordered the birria pizza. It was delicious. We did get chips and salsa. This was the first time we had to pay for chips and salsa. All the taco restaurants I have ever been to were always free. They did have the 3 sauces on the table. The restaurant itself is completely decorated for Halloween which add a little razzle dazzle. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and attentive. I tried it the first time during Halloween and have gone back an unhealthy amount of times since they really go all out with the decor for Halloween, Christmas and Valentine's Day. We had the chicken burrito and the quesabirria, chips and salsa and refried beans. Everything tasted amazing. And the second was we also placed an order to go that they clearly forgot to put in as well because when we mentioned that's what we were waiting for they rushed to see the hold up and we looked at the QR code paperless check and it wasn't on there and a minute later it popped up. So we sat for over 20 minutes for the Togo to arrive . Though we observed them really trying to give the best service with friendlyness it seemed like if you didn't order everything in that first initial go around they forgot the moment they walked away. Please note there is a service charge for the convince of paperless receipts while it's less than two dollars it's pretty wild imo to charge for a convenience the restaurants enforced. I finally got to go here after my husband had been raving about it, and I must say the hype is real! We came on a weekend and it was packed out. We had an hour wait which was fine, they had a booth outside for ordering drinks which was a super cool idea. We got the passion fruit Hennessy margarita and it was actually one of the best margaritas I've had and I don't even like Hennessy. Once inside I expected it to be a while before we were served but our waitress Millie (hopefully I spelled it right) was on top of it. We got our order in and within minutes our food was out. Everything was delicious! At the table we got the torta, dip trio, tacos, a bowl, and the birria. There were no complaints at all, each item was super flavorful and pricing was reasonable.
