Haven't been here for years & it is as lively as ever! Such great service, great atmosphere & the food is delicious!!! Pics will show our meals. I got the chili rellenos & I have definitely had better, but no complaints!! Drinks were refreshing too. On a Friday night they were PACKED. We arrived around 5:30 pm & left around 7:30 pm... folks waiting for tables. Heart of Lilburn, GA across from Kroger. Plenty of parking- Auto Zone parking lot shares with Agavera. 4 people with adult beverages, sm. queso & full meals was under $150... tip was not included & we were able to add our own tip amount- she was outstanding!! Sending review on behalf of my gf who is presently at this establishment and has had an awful experience with the food. Ordered a chicken fajita nachos, that lacked flavor, spice and was served Luke warm. The server was made aware of the problem with the order. The resolution was to bring out more peppers since that was missing from the meal. An offer to remake the meal was never extended. Even the chips for the chips and salsa were dark and greasy. When the server was notified again of the dissatisfaction, she stated the manager would come over. Instead the manager sent the server back and instructed her to tell my gf that, "Next time, you should ask for remake." No courtesy extended to discount or remove the cost of the meal. It was further insulting because this has been a place she has frequented over the years and has ordered this dish numerous times. All she wanted, after an exhausting day, was a decent meal in familiar company. And the manager never personally acknowledged her. Will NEVER return!!! read more

We went on Mother's Day and it was a fabulous experience! Our food was delicious and plentiful as you can see by the pictures! Our server was a wonderful young man that knew the menu inside out and gave us wonderful suggestions. This place is beautiful and it was rocking with mothers and families yet we were seated immediately because it is way bigger than it looks from the outside. Absolutely Disgraceful Experience - Beware of Hidden Charges! Thad an absolutely awful experience at this restaurant. Not only do they fail to inform customers that the tip is automatically included, which in my view is basically a form of ripping people off, but when I brought this up politely, I was treated with outright aggression. One of the waitresses even shoved me and told me to do whatever I wanted. This place is absolutely unprofessional and goes against what I believe are consumer rights in Georgia. I loved the vegetarian taco salad! Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow and by the time they got my order right- I had to get a to-go box. My husband and son were already finished eating! I would give this place 5 stars for good food- but unfortunately the customer service was a little bit spotty. The waitress was sweet- but apparently the kitchen or the food runner brought out the wrong order. Just a basic taco salad with only beans (instead of the fajita veggies). My husband ordered the shrimp quesadilla supreme- yet he never received his "supreme" lettuce and sour cream. I would be willing to give it another try- but my husband- not so much. I finally had the pleasure of trying Agavero several weeks back via Uber Eats delivery. I've heard good things about this place and used to pass by the Parkside location all the time, so I've been interested in trying their food for a while. I ordered the chicken tamale, enchilada combo plate, which came with rice and beans and salsa. I ordered extra beans and rice on the side. For my mom, I got her the Jimador Salad. Everything was reasonably priced and packaged well. I didn't have any issues ordering through Uber Eats. I will say that it is more Tex-Mex style in seasoning, which is exactly as advertised. It definitely was not a bad meal and was well portioned. However, El Indio and El Taco Veloz have me in a chokehold when it comes to their tacos so far, and Don Pedro (the Buford Highway location) has been my go-to when it comes to plates. I'm glad I got to try the food, and based on the reviews, it seems like a fun place to come and socialize and listen to music. I am planning on trying the Parkside and Atlanta locations in the future. However, it just wasn't enough to pull me away from my favorites. I appreciate that everything was fresh, though, especially the beans. That can't be said about every restaurant. If you're in the area and try them, don't forget to check-in for a free sopapilla dessert with any entrée! read more

While the inside is comfortable, we waited at the front entrance for a bit. Actually felt ignored by the "hostesses " up front. They looked at us but that's it.. When we sat down, my friend ordered the salmon Verde. Looked slapped on the plate, not at all like the nice picture in the comments before.. My husband had the chicken chimichanga & said it was good. I asked for the Vegetarian Fajita without a lot of onions. It was OK, had a ton of diced and sliced tomatoes in it. I wouldn't order it again. The restaurant is decorated in a Mexican theme. There is a bar area, and throughout the restaurant, there are TVs usually set to sports. Birthdays are an extra special occasion with masked singers coming out to help guests celebrate. They have a wide selection of dishes from meat to vegetarian. Margaritas were watered down but did get us lit, the food was very sub par and left a lot to be desired. I'd say frontera is better tasting than this. I didn't know what to expect from this place after the mixed reviews, but when I came in with my wife this we had a great experience. Here's why: First, we were immediately greeted upon entering, and seated promptly. Shortly afterward, a woman dropped off some chips and salsa, which we expected. I'll admit that I tend to take this aspect of dining at Mexican restaurants for granted, but these chips and salsa were amazing...the chips were the super thin kind, and the salsa was very flavorful (I would have appreciated just a touch more heat, but it was honestly really good for table salsa). Our server was a jovial man who spoke to us both in Spanish and English, which was fun. He was very timely with everything and excellent at suggesting different things on the menu. For drinks, I had the house margarita; it was a decent size, maybe 12oz, which was nice since this is something places tend to skimp on. It was also strong but well-blended. My wife ordered the sangria, and even though we thought it was a bit pricier ($10.95), it tasted pretty good. It wasn't super sweet and had a fuller flavor. We ordered the choriqueso, which came out pretty quickly and went nicely with their fantastic chips. For the main courses, I had the chicken poblano and my wife had the poblano la costa. Both were very tasty and had some nice heat from the poblano. Mine came with tortillas, I'm not sure if were were supposed to share them or not, but my wife didn't miss them her dish was that good. The only thing that could have made the meals better is if they came with beans also. The staff was also running around every once in a while with luchador masks on singing to guests, so that was fun. Very fun decor inside and outdoor seating as well. All in all, this is a solid spot! Food is good but they water drinks down or something because I have had several issues with that before. Also it's way too crowded in there. Bulky tables and chairs kinda take up the middle so if you sit there, it kinda sucks. Also, sometimes it takes servers forever to even bring you water. read more

1st time here and I wasn't disappointed. It was Sunday and they have multiple TVs but don't expect to see any American football. All the TVs were on soccer which wasn't a biggie because I had already watched 3 games before I got there. The salsa was good to me, but my date found it a little too spicy for her tastes. The chips we were served were atleast 50% broken. Our server was prompt and friendly enough. I got the enchiladas rancheras and it was cheesy excellence! Now this is Mexican food! We absolutely loved everything we got. Husband had Burrito LA Raqueto and I had Carnitas street tacos. I also got the fresh chunky guacamole on the side for my chips and tacos. It was perfect! We have excellent Mexican restaurants in San Diego and I place this right up there with best of them. I know the drinks are good here at least! I got the burrito roqueta, it sounded really yummy!! Sadly, when it came out the plate was hotter than the food, my burrito was lukewarm in the middle. I also had someone else test the temperature to confirm and they agreed it was lukewarm. They made the description of the burrito roqueta sound amazing! With pork meat soaked in beer but it really didn't have any extraordinary flavor peo I requested to my server that I change my order to the burrito deluxe instead. I am SOOOO happy that I finally found a good Mexican restaurant that makes fajitas the way I like them!!! I have driven by this place so many times and I am kicking myself for not stopping in sooner. Naturally, right now we are in the middle of a pandemic so I got takeout. I'm just not quite comfortable yet eating out. That being said, they did a fantastic job of bringing my order to my vehicle. When I pulled up a very nice young lady came out instantly to ask me the order number. She was very nice and professional. As for the food, it was spectacular. The chicken was very savory, not dry at all (I even reheated it a little because I didn't eat my food right away). I also ordered some churros and they were so delicious! Nice, warm and soft in the middle and crunchy on the outside. Perfect! Multiple thumbs up! This place has been added to my list of regularly rotated restaurants. We love to visit local restaurants when we're in different cities. While in Atlanta over the weekend, we tried Agavero Cantina. For drinks we ordered the pitcher of house margarita. It was good and the price was a really good deal. It made 5 glass of margarita. For our entree we ordered the supreme nachos, tres amigos, and Manuel's chef special. The food was good, not great. Oh! We also all ordered the Mexican street corn, which is roasted corn on the cob with mayo and fresco and Chile sprinkled on it. Yummy! The corn was great. The service was good, not great. I could have given them a three, but we did go during dinner rush hour, so that may explain "good, not great" feeling.
