DIY Garage is fully stocked with all the tools you need and Dave was there when I needed an extra hand holding something under the car, or a second opinion. Air tools, odd-shaped female-hex bolts...he has it all. I love to turn my own wrenches and this garage is worth the drive from Manhattan any day! Already going back to do some more work soon. Great business, great service, warm heat on a 20-degree day, TV in the background. I was in heaven. What would have cost me 2-300 in the city was better invested in supporting this business and the pleasure of doing it myself :-)

So be warned. Any tire repair your lugs will be tightened and not be able to come off. Train your techs to follow the books.

Came here this past Saturday the 19th for an oil change. I called them earlier in the day and see…read moreif they had availability for me to come in later in the day for an oil change. The gentlemen who answered the phone was polite and said it was not a problem. I arrived at 12 noon, and there were 5 - 7 other people in the waiting room. They took my 2023 Rav 4 up on the lift, replaced my oil, checked all of my fluid levels and tires and was out in an hour. It was a little pricy at 115, for a synthetic oil change, but I accept it, and will pay for the convenience and a job well done.

I apologize in advance for forgetting his name But it was a horrible morning of back to back bad luck. and funny thing it's Aprils fools day -.- Me and my fiancé and daughter were headed back home to New York from the Poconos that was a horrible experience in it's self we turned to go to an antique shop and it had rain the day before so the floor look like grassy floor but it was muddy water and we slid and that muddy floor was a ditch smh! we were helped by good samaritan that helped us get out of the ditch with his pick up truck thank you sir. We were back on the road and headed home when our car started shaking . We got nervous and pulled into the nearest mechanic shop Rev it up at 92 Main St, Sparta, NJ 07871 and we're helped by the kind mechanic but we are from NY and couldn't leave our car here he told us what he believed the problem was and told us it could be a couple of days he poured cooling fluid in our car since it over heated but the radiator was cracked so it couldn't hold the fluid. He was also kind enough to let us wait for the towing company and let us use the bathroom. They were so kind then you so much.

Sean the owner said he did all the work and just replaced the rotors no pads no checking anything else just the rotors. 1 day after getting the car back I take my kids to camel beach and my car starts violently vibrating when braking and then leads to it violently shaking when driving. When I pulled over my tire was smoking so badly I was afraid it was going to catch on fire. I had a friend meet me and she checked it out, caliper is shot and there's a bungee on the tire shaft attached to the steering stabiliser so basically he had the calipers off but didn't bother to check them and my brake pads were worn down past the wear line. When I confronted Sean initially he acted like he was going to right his wrong and fix his mistake but then he called my father in law and said he wasn't going to do anything. I called him back and he said he didn't need to right any wrong and that he did nothing wrong and won't be working on the car any longer. This isn't the first issue I've had with this place when I brought it in for the brake vibration it also needed the ac charged that was the second time I had it in there for that he claimed I didn't think it was hot my children's beat red faces in the back of the car said otherwise. Another time I brought it for a loud noise coming from the wheel, the bearing was bad he completely missed it and I had to bring it elsewhere. Sean has a bad attitude and no care for the fact that people depend on mechanics to make sure their vehicles are safe and able to get them where they need to go.

After evaluating my Ford I was told that there was a Technical Bulletin that came out from Ford several years ago. I am impressed that they did the research to evaluate my car. They told me I did NOT NEED A TRANSMISSION. I only needed an update on the vehicle computer. Here's the numbers. Ford wanted $3500 for a rebuilt transmission. A new transmission was $6000. Final cost at Scotty's $150 to evaluate $250 to upload the new software Total $400.00 Can't say enough good things about this place. Talk about trusting a Mecanic!!! Due to preexisting damage to my rim, they didn't think the tire would seal properly so I could make my 70 mile trip back home. They put my spare on and told me "no charge" for their services. Friendly mechanics, friendly staff, and an all around great experience.
