Horrible, awful experience with RSW! This is a long review, but I wanted to provide enough details to show how bad of a business this is. I went in for an AC fix (no cold air). I told them upfront that I had already recharged the refrigerant. They charged me $400 to diagnose the AC issue by vacuuming and recharging the refrigerant, despite me telling them I had already done so. Their "master technician" said that the AC compressor had melted on the inside, and that I needed the compressor, condenser, and evaporator all replaced for almost $5000. They said they also found a coolant leak, and replaced the coolant expansion tank for the high-temperature circuit. After replacing that expansion tank, they say they ran a pressure test, which showed a new leak that is, and I quote, "gushing coolant". They wanted to charge $1600 now to replace the radiator. I tell them not to do any more work (they had only recharged the AC system and replaced the coolant expansion tank at this point), and that I would be taking the car home as-is. I was warned that I "wouldn't be able to make it down the road without overheating and potentially destroying my engine". They made me sign an "unsafe vehicle" waiver. I turned the car on, saw no leak, and drove home just fine. The temperature did not deviate from normal. At home, I saw that not only was the high-temp expansion tank full of coolant, but they overfilled it. I drained it to the appropriate level, ran the car for a bit, and again found no temperature issues. However, I noticed the low-temp expansion tank had no coolant in it. I filled it, then saw coolant leaking from the low-temp radiator and where the coolant hose meets the expansion tank. I took both expansion tanks out, and re-installed. This fixed the leak between the expansion tank and the connecting tube (obviously didn't fix the leak in the low-temp radiator). I replaced the low-temp radiator myself, which resulted in the low-temp coolant circuit now holding coolant properly. Tada, my AC works perfectly! Turns out that when the low-temp coolant circuit runs dry, the compressor won't turn on (to protect itself). To put the cherry on top, I did a pressure test on the high-temp expansion tank that they replaced (I made sure to get the replaced part back). It did not leak, meaning it never needed to be replaced at all. So to recap, I paid $1300 for them to replace a completely functional part, recharge a just-charged AC line, and not solve anything. Meanwhile, they tried to charge me an additional $6300+ to replace the compressor, condenser, evaporator, and high-temperature radiator, when in reality, NONE of those parts where faulty. All of the above is purely fact-based. The following is my analysis. It seems there are two possibilities: either they repeatedly failed to correctly diagnose and address the issues, opting instead to replace parts indiscriminately, or they deliberately attempted to exploit the situation for financial gain. Here are things that just don't add up: - How did they come to the conclusion that my compressor was broken, and destroyed the entirety of the AC system with it? (it hadn't) - Why did they replace parts in the high-temp coolant system, which had zero relation to the AC system and low-temp coolant circuit? - I believe when they replaced the high-temp expansion tank, they pulled on the low-temp expansion tank connecting tube, which created an additional leak (I fixed by just re-attaching). - Why did they believe there was an issue with the high-temp coolant circuit to begin with? Anybody with two eyes would be able to open the high-temp expansion tank cap, and see it was full and not decreasing. - If they replaced the high-temp expansion tank and then ran a pressure test, how did that result in a pressure-induced leak in the low-temp radiator? Those systems aren't connected. All I can say is that I would never, ever give RSW my business again. This shop will rob and lie to you. Even their "owner responses" to google reviews are all lies as well. I noticed another reviewer saying the owners responses are all AI generated. I actually checked this out and they are, indeed, all generated by AI. This just shows how little they do not care about their customers. Now I know why this place has such good reviews on google. Since they use AI, they've clearly generated hundreds of fake reviews. I own a cybersecurity firm so, trust me, it's actually quite easy to do such a thing. I call it a "drip review campaign". In simple terms, their AI drops a 5 star review every few days to a week from a different account so google wont catch them. You can tell, yourself, if you just take a look. Most 5 star reviews only have 1-5 total reviews for their entire account. If you dug deeper, you'd find their account is only a few months to a few years old. Obviously, not a human. If you're still reading, you get to hear my human side of the story. Took my 2020 Range Rover Velar 4 cylinder in to get rotors and pads all around, spark plugs, and an oil change. I got the quote via email that links into their system which, by the way, the quotes got deleted on their end so I couldn't see it anymore. Jokes on them because I screenshotted it all anyway. I'll give you just one insane example of how they rob people who are uneducated about cars. They quoted me $1600 for rear rotors and pads. The parts they were giving me were Brembo Prime rotors with low-met pads. These are economy tier parts. The rotors and pads together would cost a consumer(retail) about $150. Labor for just rear pads and rotors with a skilled mechanic should be 1.5 hours. This shop advised they charge $200/hr for labor. So, if you recall your first grade math class, we can add this up. $150 in parts+ 1.5hr labor($300)= $450. To humor you and myself, even if an unskilled mechanic took 3 hours to change the brakes, this would still only add up to $600 in labor + $150 in parts = $750. So, don't take my word for it. Use your own brain and ask yourself a good question. How does such a job add up to $1600? I even encourage anyone to check my math. And further, any mechanic that takes 3 hours to change just 1 set of pads and rotors on a car is, indeed, not a mechanic. Ask a mechanic! The owner's AI response will most likely say something along the lines of "well it's a range rover so it takes a lot more time". And they will likely make up some story about how I did something. Do not believe their lies. It's not a Lamborghini.... And even changing ALL FOUR rotors and pads on an hurrican would only take about 3 hours. The parts for that vehicle are more expensive, given it's a true performance vehicle. My car is a very normal range rover and it does not = $1600 for brakes. You can google all the parts yourself and see the part prices and research the labor time yourself. You will see I am correct. Finally and not even the full story... and expect full denial from the "owner"; When I was complaining about how they were robbing me, they became professional liars. From the people at the front desk to the General Manager. I ended up talking to 4 separate people who ran me in circles saying a bunch of nonsense to justify their price. When I got to the GM and he realized I actually know cars and prices, he literally said, and I quote verbatim, "Go f yourself sir" and advised he will put my car outside with my key in a lockbox so I can pick it up. He said the full F word but I had to censor it for a public review. I will add that I was definitely upset and trying to explain that that job does not command that price. And, I was not on the phone with them cursing my mouth off at them at all and this GM still said what he said. But, of course, they'll deny that. I had a truly unbelievable experience. We all know that so many mechanics try to screw their customers but this was on a completely different level. And then the GM tells me to F myself. Absolutely nuts. Do yourself a favor. I write that since my time was wasted and the owner apparently can't take a joke so I'll elaborate. First off work wise i used to come here a lot loved the shop the culture the owner everything. Till this day never had an ounce of negativity towards the owner etc. years ago i stopped using this shop simply because i wasn't a fan of their updated pricing models and changes on how they price work. Again the work was good work I'm not going to say otherwise. This is a honest review, of my current childish experience. They have top notch equipment. I give them a lot of credit in this department till this day have always referred clients who were local that need convenience of being a great local euro shop. Wow looks like I'm saying great things i have always said great things about their work. But today lol is a testament to the child that is the owner. Since my hour was wasted driving too and from the shop i can waste another minute for this. I came in to get tires balanced. ( simple ). Had an appointment friendly to front staff were nice very nice. We chatted i made a joke about how i haven't come in awhile since things changed with the shop. they saw i had a bunch of former cars in the file. I jokingly said well they went to more of a pep boys model which is kinda true. The owner went to these service pro or whatever classes became a big supporter of that style and changed the culture which he has every right to do at the time of the changes we were friendly ( i was there almost weekly for years )i made the same joke about it being a pep boys model. I'll clarify. It's not the quality of work. That from what i see didn't change. It's just how it's run coupons scheduling. Fixed Pricing models ( job not hour ) etc. anyway i was waiting to get my work done today and his manager walked up to me and said so you think we're like a pep boys i said it was a joke. Well apparently the owner didn't like the comment and wanted me to leave . Yes ladies and gentlemen. Butt hurt lol. I thought it was a joke but no so i wasted my Friday morning. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. But that was the extent of it. I bright my catback exhaust for my Porsche 996 and it took them 2 hours to install it and they charged me over 800 with tax! I could have went to the dealership and had it installed. I went to use a 5% off code for "Labor" and they told me since I brought my own parts that coupon does not apply. The coupon said "labor" so I'm not sure why since that is all they did. Went for a simple alignment. After a few hours of leaving me in the waiting room, they tell me they bent both adjusters, claim they were defective, made me order new ones. Came back, then spent SIX hours as they tried to align my car. Like 4 service guys didn't know how. Finally, the only guy who knew what to do was Ryan the front desk guy. He had to go back there and get it done. Then they tried to charge me $600 for the time, the time they stared at the car clueless. Owner treated me like crap when I mentioned all these problems. Top notch European car specialists. The shop literally looks like a hospital and the staff here is extremely professional. Definitely not the place to go if you want a bargain repair with no-name Chinese parts, although they can be slightly cheaper than the dealer. I took my B8 Audi here for a repair and some general maintenance based on their top notch reputation in the Audi/VW world. After confirming my own personal diagnosis of a bad wheel bearing, they clearly outlined the repair costs and options, as well as identified a few things to keep an eye on in the future. At no point did they get pushy or suggest unnecessary repairs. The transparency is much appreciated and is what sets them apart from less reputable shops. Keep in mind, if you are a brand new customer, they may request you pay for the parts over the phone when you give them your verbal authorization to perform the repair. I think this is to protect them from customers trying to scam them which is reasonable. Additionally, they don't have the convenient loaner cars or the long hours the dealer has, but people who come here don't do so for the convenience. I definitely would not hesitate to take my car back here in the future because these guys really know their stuff. read more

A horrible experience. I left the car (2018 Audi S5 Sportback) there for them to mount tires and do a wheel alignment - but ended up with a compete disaster. First, they told me that my control arms were bent and bushings cracked and wanted ~ $1200 to replace. That sounded off to me as the car drove fine and has never been in an accident - so I called my Audi dealer to ask and they agreed it would be odd for the age/mileage of my car. They said to bring it in and they'd check as, if as described by Redline, it might be covered under warranty - so I told Redline to not do anything to it. I subsequently brought the car back to Audi and all was fine - control arms were as designed and bushings were not cracked. So Redline are either incompetent or dishonest crooks trying to screw you over with unnecessary work! To make matters worse, redline mounted my new summer tires on my summer rims and swapped off my winter wheels (that were on winter rims and on the car) - However, they missed the bag of lug nuts for my summer tires that was in the trunk and proceeded to use the wrong lug nuts resulting in their stripping one of the front whee hubs. They tried to tell me that I did it when I tried to replace the lugs with the correct ones once I noticed they had not used the right ones. Luckily I had their lugs that I removed to show them that they were already stripped. They did then agree do the hub replacement free of charge (and I had it later checked by Audi to make sure it was done properly) - that's the only decent thing that they did! Additionally, they did not replace the valve stem covers when they mounted the wheels, did not give me back my winter wheel lug nuts and I later discovered that, for some reason, They removed the valve stems from 2 of my winter wheels and had returned them to me deflated. I made a return trip to get my lug nuts and valve stem covers (I just bought new valve stems at Autozone as I discovered that afterward and was not going to make another trip). The final insult is that I tried to swap to my winter wheels/tires to discover that the bag of lug nuts they returned only had 18 and I need 20 (5 per wheel) and 5 were not the right lug nuts. I'm beyond speechless and disgusted with how poor an experience I've had and how incompetent or downright dishonest these guys are. They were recommended by friends who used and like them. I would now not trust them to put air in my tires - I'll stick with Audi and pay more but know the work will be done properly and know that they won't try swindle me into repair work for problems that don't even exist! read more

Had a disagreement with the owner months ago that I thought was resolved. Carbon fiber wing was damaged while in their care. Had to get several second opinions and determined it was not the shops fault. Made peace and thought everything was ok. However, made an appointment and dropped my car off this morning and the owner refused to look at it 2 hours after taking the car. Get a call that they no longer wish to service the car. Fine, no big deal. But thanks for wasting my time. Why accept my car in the first place? Why tell me months ago we're all good if not the case? RSW rocks! I came to know them through a round about way. I live in South Jersey but bought a used GTI in North Jersey. Looking at the Carfax report I noticed that RSW has replaced the clutch at one point so I decided to do some research since they had some history with the car. Their history with the car, their website, their reviews and the fact that they are licensed APR dealer convinced me to make the 1.5 hour drive to give them a try. I was off on MLK day anyways so why not. All I can say is that it was worth the trip. The facility is amazing, the pricing is up front and straightforward, the service was great and the work they did was completed quickly and correctly. Having installed a set of coilovers on my weekend car and letting them settle for 2 weeks, it was time to get an alignment done. Deciding to avoid the typical shops more accustomed to normal cars, I opted for Redline Speed Worx based on their high end equipment, experience with sports/performance cars, and having had my old Audi serviced their several times. First off it's an amazingly clean shop from the showroom, customer waiting area, and even the actual garage shop area. You'd be amazed how both bright and almost hospital antiseptic clean the garage area is. Second, the mechanics are really knowledgeable and excellent at diagnosing small items for preventative purposes. The mechanic who did my alignment (sorry forgot his name), was very informative; keeping me aware of the alignment process, and was awesome in finding some other issues he noticed while the car was getting aligned (namely a brake like that was rubbing against my rear passenger wheel and what appeared to be a leak at my transmission housing, probably from a leaky rear main seal). I also experienced this mechanical foresight when I had my previous Audi serviced at Redline. Yes, you may be paying a bit more for work done here, but honesty for the piece of mind that your beloved car will be treated properly........it's worth it. read more

I took my 2016 Infiniti Q50S (twin turbo VR30 engine) here for repairs. They diagnosed the car and said they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, however they still insisted to fixing the car. After spending 3,000 dollars on fixing the car they replaced my entire fuel system (lower pressure fuel, high pressure fuel pumps, fuel conductor) , the car still had the same problem. They stated that they did now know what the problem was because my car had a "bmw engine" LOL Do not take your car here, you will be wasting your time and money. Called for a 4-wheel alignment for my 2011 BMW 335 and they were able to accommodate me last minute. Very professional and did a great job. They also told me I needed front tie rods replaced since they were seized. I knew they weren't just trying to sell more work since I've had clunking noises coming from the right front wheel. Mini dealer quoted me around $2G on two minor seepage (I can't even detect in my garage) a battery and alignment. John and Jessie test driven and put the car on the rack. I am a first timer here. I was one who liked to be cheap with my car but no more. I came here 3 consecutive Friday's with intentions to have the car street ready. I always thought, $60 alignments and all other alignments are the same. Wrong. The shop Is constantly up to maintenance. Machines are calibrated to spec. Forget about those $60 alignments, save up and start paying $150 for RS worx alignments. And when your ready, call them, either RJ or Sam would be happy to assist you. I personally dealt with Sam. I am one who loves his car and loves to drive the car like its meant to be driven and with RS Worx's help, I am able to do so. End links adjusted to perfection with no preload. Car is leveled out to avoid any preload. My front and rear alignment is dead center in the green according to the machines specs. Not more negative or positive, DEAD center where the black line in the middle is. Also if the tech sees anything that affects your driving performance, you will be told AND brought into the shop to show it. Make sure to have John work on your car for alignments. There are others but I will stick with John. Luckily he picked up a failed brake line which could have lead to me going head first into someone's rear end. I'm sure if he read this review, he will remember who I am. I'm sure he can do more but I'm more about handling then driving fast on a straight line. I am more then satisfied. I will be coming back if I ever decide to go FI and need consultation. read more

I've been meaning to write about the awesome service I've received from these guys for a while. I have thrown everything at them - everything from powder coating my brakes to fixing a gremlin that nobody else could find. They wrapped my G Wagon and installed a real bull bar onto the frame; they are the only people I'd ever take my Audi R8 to; and they have brought my dead S4 back to life. About that last one: I had an intermittent engine-kill issue that was electrical in nature. I'd be driving my 2000 (stage 3) S4 on the highway when it would die on me, steering wheel lock and all. I took the car to MANY auto-electrical "specialists," people with high ratings even here on Yelp. Not a single one of them could fix it. After a couple of days with it, Patrick identified the problem and fixed it. These guys are WIZARDS. If you want to go cut-rate with the labor fees, then by all means go and get someone who sucks; but if you want peace of mind and quality every time, you must go to RSW. I used to bring my car here as the reviews were very good and I wanted a place to bring my audi a4 who had expertise in german cars as opposed to a generic shop. The last repair in which I brought my car in was for an in tank fuel pump. They did the repairs and I was on my way. Not long after I noticed my fuel gauge never went above half full. I called them back and they said they likely didnt properly adjust the float sensor when they reinstalled everything and i'd have to come back in. I was already upset because I now had to take a personal day because someone else's oversight. I took the car in, after the repairs I again was on my way. Filled up the tank, gauge went all the way to full. Problem solved. After over a week of driving my car just died one day while I was in traffic. The gauge was still about a hair under 1/2 full so I figured my engine died. A cop showed up and helped direct traffic around me as my car was going nowhere. He suggested I fill the car with some gas as the meter could be wrong so I walked to a gas station down the block, bought a gallon tank and filled my car with it. Behold, the car started up and ran fine. In a nutshell, the car had pump replaced, gauge didnt go above half, brought car back, fixed it, then I was left stuck in the middle of the road because the meter never fell below 1/2 a tank and i ran out of gas. I called RSW up and explained what happened and they said I needed to bring it in and they would fix it. My issue is that the whole time I was never given the impression that they felt bad. They didn't seem to empathise with the inconvenience they have put me through yet again. Even if they were to say, next oil change is on us or atleast show some sense of trying compensate me for my troubles, I would have at least appreciated the gesture. I even brought it up to them and they pretty much gave me the impression "we are fixing it, what more do you want?" This was a long time ago and a majority of reviews seem to be good so I hope they have since improved. This may not have been the average experience here but unfortunately it was my experience. I just wish them the best and hopefully they've improved their customer relations. read more

Came in a few weeks ago for a Stage 1 ECU tune on my 15' Volkswagen CC 2.0t and my god did they get me in and out fast. The workers are knowledgeable about the tunes they provide while not trying to sell you on things you do not want. Came to Redline to have a post purchase inspection done on an e92 M3 and couldn't have been happier with the service. I was able to get a next day appointment and worked with the service manager and the technician Steve O. Steve was great, he explained all of the areas of potential concern and helped ease my mind that I purchased a solid car. We went over the scheduled service history and were able to fit in a quick oil change even though they were fairly busy. It's clear these guys have the expertise and enjoy working on high performance cars. I saw several Porsche turbos and R8 V10s on lifts so I felt my used M3 was in good hands. read more

I brought my car to get brake fluid flush and spark plugs done. After sitting there for 2 hours they came out and told me that they broke a coil but they had (fixed) it and had the wrong plugs so they had to order them.mind you they even ordered new coils bec they thought it was not fixable I waited another 2 hours, the plugs didn't come. I went back picked up the car the next day because it was not finished. 2 days later the car starts throwing a p0302 code which is cylinder 2 misfire. At this point I drop the car back off and they tell me I'm responible for the coil they they broke. I have been coming here for years and now I will never go back always had good experiences with jr but now he left and I guess things go to shit quick. I will never go back to this place. I have all my cars serviced here - Audi, Porsche, Mercedes SL, Mini Cooper and R32. Quality of customer experience rivals all the new age dealers, but price is less than the dealers and there is no effort to over sell service. The feedback from the quality inspections is very helpful for future planning. Its a lot cheaper to prevent a failure than to deal with it after failure. John, the Service Manager, is very knowledgeable and well respected in the industry. He has been a number of Porsche shops over the years. He also has a lot of track experience. I saw his demo of corner balancing at a PCA tech event held at Redline. I also like the fact that they use OEM and better parts. Always a pleasure to visit Redline. read more

To date, RSW has done a great deal of work on my Mk5 GTI and despite the distance, are my go to shop for anything and everything. The facilities are high end, spotless and beautiful. The people are friendly, knowledgeable and very easy to deal with. As others had mentioned, JR and Pat are down to earth, accessible and very customer service savvy. Furthermore, there is a great deal of technical expertise and high degree of enthusiasm among the crew. If you need proof, just check out their employee parking lot in the back. Its full of cool examples of German automotive technology. Which tells me that RSW is full of people who love these cars, and genuinely live and breathe this stuff. Prices are good to very good, especially when compared to various options you are likely to find. Most importantly, while having my work done here, I have a high degree of confidence that my car is in good hands. Which as many of you can relate, is paramount to maintaining a long lasting and positive ownership experience. read more
