He is one of the most honest and hard working mechanics I have ever met. My vehicle broke down at about 4pm on a Friday during winter…read morehours (while many shops in the area are open limited hours); I thought I could fix it myself, so I walked to a parts store and purchased the parts, only to find that I would need special tools I didn't have access to. By that time, it was almost 6pm, but when I called W&J, they answered the phone, and told me that they could have a mechanic look at my vehicle within about 20 minutes. True to their word, they fit me into their schedule, and I was back up and running by 7:30pm. The mechanics (two of them!) that worked on my vehicle were very friendly and professional. Although they advertise themselves as an 'oil change and tire repair' shop, they are extremely knowledgeable on general automotive repair. To top it all off, the bill was incredibly low; I can't believe they can stay in business with rates that affordable. If I lived anywhere near Custer, this company would be my primary mechanic shop.

Each of them being the primary mechanic during their ownership. Towing a 18,000 lb RV over two mountain passes traveling from East Yellowstone to Mount Rushmore S.D. caused severe brake problems for our 2015 Ford F-350. Troy took it for a test drive and confirmed my fear that we had some serious brake issues and would remove and inspect all parts and call us later to inform us of any problems. He called later saying that the rotors, brake pads, & calipers had some serious problems and preferred that we return so he could show us and explain some options. I'm not very savvy when it comes to brakes but our friend that was traveling with us had some knowledge & experience of brakes and confirmed that the parts needed replacing. This was going to be a major brake job and we debated taking it to the Ford dealer in Rapid City but that would cause some delays and could be far more expensive than what Troy was quoting. Troy and his father were very sincere and informative in explaining all options and indicated the work would be completed before the end of the next day!! This is amazing considering that Troy did all the work on our truck and I know he had other repair jobs he was doing during this time. You definitely don't get this kind of service at any major dealer's repair facility! We hooked up our 42' fifth-wheel toyhauler the next morning and continued on our journey and haven't had any brake problems since.

While I was at training a groundhog chewed through my wiring harness. A dog got out and tried to get the ground hog and chewed up the bumper and damaged paint on other panels. I was never contacted about the damage and the exhaust was never fixed until I was back and they gave me the car back with damages never being fixed. Sent the car back to get the grill fixed and so the bumper would stay on properly and headlights would mount. Called frequently and got ignored or told "we don't have time". After months of poor service and quality I got tired of playing games. Car still has damaged paint to hood, bumper and fairings. Lack of integrity and responsibility.

Called CJ's and spoke to Cecil. He said he could replace the starter today (first miracle) and gave us options on price. When we arrived they dropped everything to work on our truck. About 30 minutes later the truck is running. Cecil came in and said it was just a couple of the bolts holding the starter on that came out. He replaced them and $56 later we are on the road.
