We highly recommend RT Tire service. As we were driving to the cruise terminal, a man hit our truck, breaking the rear tire rod and spring. Flor, from RT Tire, called a tow truck and had the truck towed to the shop. While we were on the cruise, Bobby fixed the truck so it was safe to drive back home to TN. They also sent us 50 plus pictures, making it easy to file the insurance claim. To top it off, Bobby drove us to the cruise ship. Great customer service and excellent work. Thank you!!!!! read more

We were returning from our cruise in our passenger van and got a flat tire. Pulled up to R and T and without any hesitation they said they could fix the flat. It took about 45 minutes and they ended up scratching the rim with multiple deep scratches and they couldn't figure out how to put the lug nuts back on. They blamed the scratches on their machine and refused to take any responsibility. They pretty much walked away from my husband and dismissed him. Don't trust them with your vehicle. Bad customer service and doesn't stand behind their work as a specialty "tire shop". read more

Let me tell you about our experience with RT Tires. My wife and I decided to take the "Sunday Drive" from Houston to Galveston in her "new to her" 2015 Aston Martin Vantage. Just before getting into the city we got a huge metal spike through her left rear wheel. Panicked, knowing that most places on Sunday were closed we just happened to find the tire shop before we called AAA. The spike through the tire was non-repairable with a plug so a patch had to be installed so we could get home. Knowing that the tires on the car were ready for a change i asked Dillion what the best type of tire and cost for a new set would be. They were there on a Sunday and we always support local and small business as much as we can. He did his research and found a great set of tires for that particular type of car. The tires would be there the next day and he would install. After sleeping on it and understanding that this isn't a normal type of car, i was concerned that they felt confident enough to replace and balance and meet the torque requirements for replacing these tires, by his own admission our car would be the first of it's kind but it also wasn't his "1st rodeo" my verbiage not his. Once he said he was fully confident then i agreed for him to proceed, i also asked that by some out of the world chance that the mishap should happen to the special factory installed rims would he pay to have repaired or replaced to factory and our specifications and he without a thought said absolutely! We waited while Dillion (he said he would be the only one changing these tires) and he was correct. He decided to have a little fun at my expense and wanted to show me the "scratch" that happened and of course i was surprised. That's all it was, good old gotcha moment. But then during the 4th wheel change the Murphys Law episode happened. The machine that held tire had a slip and mishap and it truly did put a pretty good size scratch on the rim. This time I thought he was kidding but he unfortunately was not. Like i said earlier he would take full responsibility for any damage and the job would not be finished until we were satisfied. Dillion drove into downtown Houston to pick up tires and take to have completely redone, we also paid a little extra to have a couple of small places on the other rims repaired as well from when the car came to us from previous owner. All the rims were replaced to factory specs and colors! Very impressed with the job that was done. No panic or disagreements, Dillion and RT Tires stood behind their work and came through with flying colors. Thanks for the service and when we need new tires for our other vehicles we will definitely be giving RT Tires a chance to earn our business. Don't go here. Convinced me to pay for an expensive pressure gauge I didn't actually need, then didn't know how to calibrate it to my car. Filled my tire to about 60 psi. My parents brought their truck here a few weeks later, and they torqued on a lug nut so hard that the Ford dealership is telling my parents they might need the whole axle replaced... Well I would like to start with a man that was that doesn't listen. His name is Richard Gonzales he works for Rt tires. If there was A below one rating I would give it. I brought in my 1989 Cadillac Brogham Hearse. He said he would fix the water gasket in the hearse and he would leave everything as it was. Here's the problem: he didn't. He He did fix the motor as he said but he did not fix the the cruise control back or the AC. Not only that but I brought in a 1995 Camaro 2 years ago. To get it ready to get ready for for sales it took him a year to fix that and it took him forever nine months to sell it it was a good shape when he got it took About nine months for them to sell it for $1000. I am SO thankful for the gents at RT Tire Service!! This morning, my daughter and I were leaving our Airbnb off of Broadway and noticed our flat. It looked like someone stuck a knife into the tire and left a big gash. Ugh! Just what we wanted and needed after a great Mardi Gras weekend on The Strand! Not! I drove slowly to the closest gas station and no one there would even take the time to look at the tire for me. I inched further and got to an automotive shop. The rude lady there said "we don't do tires"!! One of the mechanics there wouldn't even take a look to say you can make it to the tire shop up the street or not. Wow! I kept inching down Broadway and realized that the tire was shot and if I drove any further it would ruin my rim. Called RT Tire Service and 30 minutes later a great gent pulled up to my car, put the spare on, put my bum tire and rim into his truck and I followed him to the shop. The owner was outside and shook my hand and said, "Never drive on a flat!" with a smile. Within about 30-40 minutes I had a newer tire back on my rim and back on my car, all other tires aired up, paid a great rate, and was headed home! As an out of towner I had no idea there was a giant pot hole like drainage ditch on ever neighborhood corner in Galveston. I popped my back tire jumping one of these and headed to RT before it went flat. I pulled in and the technician came to look at it and said it was not repairable and would need to be replaced but he commented that it looked like a new tire. I said it was and he asked where I got it from and if I had a warranty on it. I told him I did have a warranty and what large chain tire shop it was from but said I didn't know where one was or if I could make it there. He told me where the closest location was and assured me the leak was slow enough to make it there and that he could put more air in to help me out. Very honest, friendly place. read more

Tried to get my inspection done here today. When I pulled up, the gentleman laying on the ground listening to earplugs came over and walked around my car. He looked at my drivers side tire and said "this won't pass." My tire has the slightest bit of smoothness in a tiny area, not bald by any stretch. He asked if I wanted to purchase a new tire from them to pass inspection. So I went down the road and got my inspection done with no problems. I had a nail in a tire and it was quickly losing air. Fortunately, RT tire shop was easy to find and could patch the puncture within 20 minutes. The gentleman that runs the shop greeted me as I pulled in and quickly explained the difference between patching the tire and plugging the puncture. There wasn't any hassle or attempt to up-sale. The shop stocks plenty of tires and also does state inspections. So before I left, I inquired about when it will be time to get a new set of tires. Amazingly, I was told my tires still have plenty of "life" and possibly a couple more years. My experience with RT tire was extremely positive, the honesty and prompt service are the primary reasons why I will return when it is time for inspection and new tires. read more
