Brought my bike in on Friday morning which I had not ridden in at least three years. I was given an estimate to bring the bike into shape and told the bike would be ready in about a week. Received a text message on Tuesday afternoon that the bike was ready for pick up. Cost was exactly the amount of the estimate. Rode the bike seven miles after picking up on Wednesday morning. Just needed a tire repaired, but was happy to learn they do that on the spot. Came back 20 minutes later and it was good to go! Very affordable. Also took my bike there last year after purchasing elsewhere to get it aligned. They did a great job and haven't had problems with their adjustments since. I recently bought a State Bicycle Co. fixed gear bike online. I had every intention to build the bike myself, as I was an auto mechanic for years and I built LEGO kits and Ikea furniture like a pro, until reading the fine print that said I had to have proof of professional assembly to qualify for the 5 year warranty. I conceded and brought it to RTT. Never been here before it was a great first experience. Less than 48 hr turnaround had me riding by the weekend. Not sure some of the more complex builds can be done in that amount of time, as mine was a simple fixed gear bike, but call or walk in and ask. Super friendly and helpful. I'm not Magellan, and maybe I should have known, but if there is any confusion on your maps apps, RTT CYCLE SHOP is located behind the main strip mall on Main Street. Not a back alley per se, but easily accessible from the local Public Library's parking lot. Maybe known by locals, but I drove past the place once before I knew where it was.. I have never been as disappointed with a repair shop as this. I was given a runaround for a completion date after I was originally told 7 to 10 days for a tune up and minor repairs. On the 10th day I was told the bike had not yet been started but was "next in line" and would only take an hour or so once started. On the 11th day I called again and was told bike is being repaired and will take a couple more days. I told them that is unacceptable and I will pick up bike today. When I called before I left to pick it up I was told by the owner my bike hadn't even been started yet. I told Andy the owner I was very upset and I am on my way to pick up the bike. When I got there the owner ignored me and offered no explanation or apology. I will never go back to a place that treats their customers with such disrespect. These guys are terrible. read more

Great Bike Shop!! Been in there a couple of times now. 1st visit was to get an old road bike back to" road worthiness". Had it back to me in less then a week, runs beautifully. Been back a couple of more times for accessories and equipment questions. As a favor to a regular customer RTT rented me a great gravel bike for a week, something that was actually hard to accomplish for a visitor to Chicagoland. I first met Andy and the staff at RTT during an open house that my Triathlon club attended. They were friendly and knowledgeable. Fast forward a few months. After having my bike tuned up a couple times during Ironman training by a couple other mechanics I wasn't happy with the way it was shifting and dropping chain during my last few rides before Ironmam Wisconsin. With two weeks to spare, not even, I called Andy, explained my situation and he fit my bike in. He had it back quickly and I was able to ride it a couple times before the race. During the 112 miles my bike shifted beautifully. It was perfectly responsive and the chain stayed put even with all the hills. I couldn't have been happier and more at ease as I rode that day. So I am NOT an avid cyclist so when I needed a flat repair I visited RTT for the first time ever, expecting to drop the tire off and pickup 4 or 5 days later. It was ready in a couple of days and it rides better then I when I first bought it!
