Although the office itself--and the staff, from front desk to medical--were excellent, the doctor I saw was rude and dismissive. He didn't really care what my concerns and wishes were, and suggested a care plan that was unnecessary and expensive. When I returned a few days later for an adjustment, he told me I was "expecting too much," and was brusque and hasty. The repair itself was functional but the problems I came back in for were not fixed. I have seen many a dentist, orthodontist, and even periodondist in my life, and I have never been treated like this before. What I did was get a second opinion at Fenwick Dental, and not only was everything fixed easily, the doctor I saw was perfectly nice. I was also told that the expensive care plan the Atlantic Dental doctor suggested was NOT the way to go--that there were cheaper and more sustainable options.

Although I have been a client for about 18 years, I am amazed how they stay on top of the most recent dental technology and introduce it into their practice. I had a tooth removed and needed an implant but due to bone loss, my jaw bone was too weak to support it. I was amazed that they could generate new bone and structural integity in the intended area of the implant with a scaffold and matrix application into where my tooth was removed. Now we wait 3 or 4 months for my jaw to regenerate the new bone.

Not only was the receptionist warm and friendly upon check in... she even assured me she could call Aspen to grab my chart and rads. Had an emergency on Thursday which ended up being a very complicated extraction of a back lower…read moremolar. One of the roots was shattered. Dr. Eschenburg ended up dividing the tooth into four parts, pulling the three and then surgically removing the part with the shattered root. The Dentist was worried about how long it was going to take because he had another involved case coming in at the same time he agreed to see me. As it turned out the other guy was a no show and the complete extraction was done with what I guess you might call ease? Seriously who likes to undergo anything like this but sometimes things happen and you are ever grateful to find someone as talented as Doctor Eschenburg. I thought about writing this on Thursday but frankly I have not felt really swift. Amoxicillin takes its toll and there is some pain still. Then my cell phone rang and the voice on the other end wanted to know how I felt and all kinds of questions about the aftermath --it was Dr. Eschenburg calling me to see how I was. Where in today's world do you find doctors like this? I am deeply impressed and I thought again about how I needed to share this experience with other people.
