In my years of dining out with couples I have never had an issue with splitting checks! This joint charged my credit card the other couples check??!! It was only two checks, not that many to keep track of. I am a fan of RT because I freakin LOVE the salad bar. Unfortunately, this location did not impress. First of all it looks like the entire staff was standing behind the bar. When I proceeded to the salad bar I saw that things just didn't look very fresh. My FAV part of this salad bar are the edamame and the croutons. There was no edamame and the croutons bucket was empty!!! When I looked around to see if there was anyone that I could ask, that is when I noticed ALL of the staff hanging out behind the bar. One woman who looked as if she was a manager even looked at me and did NOTHING! The hostess finally came up and asked if she could help me. When I asked her about the croutons she said that they had to be made, but would bring them over. She did about 5 minutes later. The food was underwhelming to say the least! I ordered the Turkey Minis which came out like hockey pucks! I have said this in previous RT posts, I really hope they can get it together! read more

It was about 8 pm after we decided on Ruby Tuesday. Mostly because Longhorn was completely packed! Our waitress was new but extremely nice. The guy who greeted us at the door was also super nice! I felt like we were being pushed to order so my husband and I both ordered burgers. My burger was terrible. I did not like it at all. But I was starving so I managed to eat one and the salad bar. My husband said his burger was ok but it was extremely messy. And the fries on both our plates were super COLD! Who wants cold fries? I have actually loved eating here in the past however, last night, 8/24/19, was very disappointing to say the least. I specifically went there to enjoy my crispy buttermilk chicken tenders with 2 sides. First I was told the hush puppies I chose as a side were no longer being offer despite still on the menu. They had just stopped offering them and new menus hadn't been delivered yet. So I chose a house salad instead plus onion rings. Their house salad has always been disappointing which I had forgotten. But when they brought the chicken tenders, whoa. The onion rings looked incredible but the chicken tenders; these didn't even come close to what I had been served in the past. They looked frozen store bought and over cooked. Told they had just changed the recipe. I got a basic burger instead but had a lengthy wait for that. I will not be returning anytime soon. read more

Went today around noon. Have been there before, and other than not being able to cook a steak correctly, food was good. Today the staff was apathetic at best. We ordered the unlimited salad bar. Many items on the bar were out, or nearly so. When I mentioned it to our Waiter, he said, "I'll see what I can do." Well, he didn't do anything, and there were plenty of staff standing around. They are fine unless you're ordering takeout. Then they'll give you about half the portion size and it will be cold. They'll also forget one of your sides. Pre covid, post covid. Doesn't matter. We went there yesterday and at 11:40 am there was only 4 tables with occupants. Two employees at the bar hanging out. Three sitting in a both and one male server seemed to be taking care of all the tables. After 13-15 mins one of the gals at the bar who had looked at us a dozen times walked over to the others sitting at the booth. She then went back to the bar hesitates then comes and ask us for our drink order. I ordered an unsweetened tea and my husband said Bud Light. She said which size he said "the big one" she rolled her eyes and said how many ounces? He said I don't know the big one aggravated because he wasn't given a choice and has no idea how many ounces the "big one" is. She said "dude why you be mean" well needless to say our lunch at Longhorns was 100% better experience. The worst service and attitude I've ever experienced. We didn't mind waiting 10 mins for a table, but once we were seated we waited 30 mins for someone just to come over (blaming bad staff when both waitresses looked us both in the eyes and still did not come over). Both of our silverware came out disgustingly dirty, She offered both of us free salads when none of us even ordered salads. No presentation on the food, I had a half rack of ribs and fries...that's what the plate looked like...nothing different than if I made my own plate at home. Waited 10 minutes at our table before a server came to acknowledge we were there. I went to get my salad fro the salad bar and had to go through 5 plates before I found a clean one. My family eats at Ruby Tuesday all the time. Yesterday I brought in out of town family. My sister likes to order everything special and asks lots of questions. My dad who is 91 can't hear well and his order was complicated by that. Our waitress, Emily (I believe), was so sweet, so friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. She just eminated kindness and joy. I told her she must be the best waitress Ruby Tuesday has. Aside from that, the food was excellent. The menu has changed a bit as has the salad bar. I have never been treated so bad at a restaurant in my life. I made this yelp account just to leave this review I usually don't write these. The hostess was so rude to my party that we actually got up and left without ordering anything. The place is packed with senior citizens who will not leave so expect a 45 minute wait and then bad service. If your in Ellijay and want a steak do yourself a favor and just go to longhorn across the street that's what we did. I would leave less than one star if I could. read more

Our server was wonderful, we had to wait a long time for her to bring the check though and we stood at the door about 5 minutes waiting to be seated because they had the hostess cleaning tables Instead of a fresh outfit and a cheery smile she was sweating and dirty bless her heart. I ordered chicken fresco and they brought me dried out chicken tenders because they were out of breasts. No cheese on top and the mashed potatoes were the worst instant potatoes I've ever eaten. Got here at 9:00 PM on May 1st. They were pumping out sewage outside but the smell was in parking lot and could smell it inside not very appetising to say least. Last 3 times we went there were terrible. Had soup was terrible so we requested another different soup had to wait 25 minutes for it then was cold so had to have it reheated. Next time Had Burger special but ran out of burgers and out of croutons and acted like they didn't care. Horrible. All the servers decided to look at us for 10 minutes and not seat us, had to seat ourselves. After 15 minutes someone came and asked us what drinks we wanted, and eventually a server came by and took our order. I recommend the Asiago bacon chicken -- a tad salty, but great flavor combination. Friday night can be a bear in the rush to eat before the football game. Very disappointed. We kind of lost our appetite when we sat down and saw the previous customer's long blond hairs stuck to the edge of the table. The table had not been wiped down at all. Our waitress was very nice and called over the guy that was in charge of cleaning tables. He only wiped the hairs off the end, then walked off. We should have asked for the manager. The entire restaurant really needs a good cleaning with disinfectant. So our shrimp appetizer was good, but the lettuce underneath it tasted old. My husband couldn't get past the filthy table to recover enough to enjoy his chef salad. The chicken and pasta tasted plain. Not much flavor. Ruby Tuesday in Ellijay is our go-to for most dinners out. The food is always great and the service is always friendly and knowledgeable. Their salad bar continues to be the best of any we know of, especially since they went back to a larger salad plate. I think they need a taller sign so people can easily see them. read more

Though the food was good. The responsibility of the facility leaves little to recommend. I ordered the hickory bourbon salmon and as I was eating it found not one or two or three but five large bones in the filet. I notified the waitress and recommended them checking more diligently when fileting their fish in the future. Her response was that that come proportioned and they don't check for bones. I had to request the manager come to the table and his response was the same, shrugging his shoulders when I started I could have easily choked on any of those bones had I not been so careful when chewing and saying they can't catch it if they aren't doing the butchering them selves... Essentially blaming the providers they purchase from, disclaiming any ownership of responsibility for the product they serve. Will not be returning. Great service from Tanya, and the food was awesome!!!!

My wife and I stopped in tonight to have dinner, we were seated fairly quick, however it took a little while before they took our order. From the time we entered the door until we were told that they were out of what we ordered was one hour. Upon telling us this the waitress was grinning like a mule eating briars and told us that it wasn't her fault. What is even more upsetting to me is that the manger did not even come by and try to make it right. If they had told me that they were out within 10 minutes of me sitting down that would be one thing, but to let us wait an hour and then tell us is beyond an explanation to me. To make it even worse some long drink of water that was trying in my opinion to make it with the hostess said have a nice night as we were leaving. I went to the Waffle House and called back and asked for the manager and someone put me on hold and never came back, I hung up and called back and a lady had the manager m a guy named Casey come to the phone, after talking to him I realized just why the people there did things like they do; a fish rots from the head. I have been to this establishment many times and once I even got a bad steak, I never complained because the service has always been good. The one thing that a company can always do is have good service. I drive from Chatsworth to patronize this establishment, I asked Casey if what had happened to us had happened to him would he patronize his place again and his retort was no. Don't eat here... unless you like a face full of flies the whole time you are eating. There were at least 50 flies in one window that the server tried to sit us by and the manager raised his voice and said we could not sit there because of the flies ... so they moved us two or three tables down where there were only 20 flies!!!! The stupid things were on everything! And the waitress DID NOT care in the slightest when I said something ... oh she closed the shades on the window ... wow. My husband was given a brownish glass for his ice water order and when he asked for a new one she took it, and I honestly believe, brought the same one right back. ... so he again said he would like another and she got a clearer one this time that matched the ones my daughter and I had... but she said her manager said that is just the way the glass is .. mine wasn't nor was my daughters!
