We stopped into The Pasta Market in Blue Ridge for a late lunch/early dinner and our whole family had a fantastic meal. We started off with the meatball appetizer, which was wonderfully seasoned and delicious right out of the gate. For our mains, I ordered the meat lasagna it definitely did not disappoint, using that same fantastic, flavorful meat as the appetizer. My wife had the lobster ravioli, which had a lovely depth to it; it started out mild and finished with a distinct, delicious lobster flavor. My youngest daughter had the stuffed shells, and my oldest thoroughly enjoyed the chicken Parm special. The highlight of the meal was the dessert sampler. It sparked a lively debate across the table on which was the best. The consensus put the tiramisu in first place, closely followed by the sea salt caramel gelato, though the cannoli was also delicious. Getting the combo was the perfect choice because it allowed us to try a little bit of everything. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend The Pasta Market to anyone in the Blue Ridge area! read more

Really not Italian from my 2nd generation Italian food experience . The pasta was not totally drained but everyone enjoyed it. The chicken parm was done well. The sauce is not to my Italian taste. But it will be great for an American pallet. The brochette was excellent and the bread perfect but it has chopped garlic. The espresso was a long Americano with great taste. The chicken parm was late coming out, I was fine but they insisted on taking 10% off. Our server was fantastic., attentive but not hovering. I have been wanting lunch from here for years so maybe I had built it up in my mind but what a sad lunch today. The table they sat me at was dirty, so I used my napkin to wipe it but was still hopeful. I ordered Ralph's pasta being told yes- this is fresh pasta made here. Well, it came out piping hot, like microwave hot. Just looking at it - i knew it was not fresh pasta so I asked how did they make it. Was told boiled and strained right on site. No - they don't have a pasta machine. ok - so I thought my bad for assuming the pasta market would have great pasta. Sauce - salty, I'm assuming canned. No fresh saved parm - and 1/2 the bowl was full of water. The few bites I had was not great. Was not asked why I did not eat it and was not asked if I wanted to take it home. $18 for 15 min and a bad lunch . I wish I could have been blown away here since I'm up here at least 2-3 times a month and I love my local places. read more

Perfectly done; the sausage could be a tad milder. Service: excellent. Event in cramped quarters on a blustery day, we felt appreciated. Ambiance: with an Italian market up front, dining was tight at lunch over King weekend. There's a wonderful outside option but not in mid January. We are so happy we ate here while visiting , Kids wanted Pasta , They have a little of everything . Pur server recommended a nice cabernet and that it was!!! got a Hot Honey Pizza We Loved!!! Meatballs Delicious! , I had the Baked Cheese Ravioli as my entree but come as an app.. Delish , My daughter and I tore them up .. Krispy edges , Loved!! I think this is the lowest rating I've ever done. We waited for soooo long it was crazy. Then when we got seated she didn't even bring us menus and brought us room temperature water without even filling our glasses unlike she did with other tables. When we got the food, it wasn't good. The salad had wilted lettuce at the bottom and the ravioli tasted fine but like it was from the freezer. Also we sat outside, and there were tons of bees. What a gem of a place located just one block off of Main Street in downtown Blue Ridge! We popped in to town for a 3 night stay recently and added The Pasta Market to our "must stop" list early on. Our original plan was to pop in and grab a frozen lasagna or meal that we could make back at the cabin, and while that is what we did, just not lasagna, we also discovered that The Pasta Market is much more than just a market! In addition to their retail space where they sell all types of goodies including pasta (duh!), sauce, desserts, treats, books, kitchen items, aprons and much more, they also have a space carved out for in-market dining. Here you can get a few classic pasta, sandwich or salad dishes. The dine-in option is very casual, but the perfect place for a chill lunch or early dinner. As mentioned, we decided to grab and go. While there was no lasagna in the freezer, there was meat tortellini and meatballs! Combine both of those with a jar of Ralph's sauce and we had ourselves a night! And I don't want to leave the review without shouting out our boy Ralph...he knows what he is doing with that sauce! And we are so happy to find out they ship it too! Visited yesterday with a large group. Staff was initially friendly, but since we couldn't sit inside, we were directed outside and had to arrange our own tables. Our server was kind and took our orders carefully, including noting a food allergy. Unfortunately, when the food arrived, no one confirmed who had the allergy and plates were just placed on the table, which felt unsafe. The food was very disappointing. The pasta tasted overcooked and bland with shredded cheese on top, the meatballs seemed reheated, and the sandwich lacked flavor and care (generic bread, very little pesto, and barely any mozzarella). For something so simple, it missed the mark. The shop itself is cute and sells cheeses and pasta, but the food did not feel like authentic Italian cuisine and came across more like a tourist spot. We also had to get our own plates and silverware after asking a staff member who never returned. Nice concept, but poor food quality and service issues make this a place I wouldn't return to. read more

Well the city of Blue Ridge Ga just added another gem of a business. I was up in Blue Ridge Ga just doing some touring around and needed a little bite. So into The Pasta Market I go. The first thing that will hit you is the amazing aromas of sauces wafting throughout the establishment. A cute restaurant in the back and a quite impressive market of pastas sauces and kitchen cooking tools in the front to name a few. Checking the Yelp reviews and looking for something lite it was the charcuterie board and a nice glass of Chianti. A wonderful array of fruits, jams, jellies, cheeses and crackers. Beautifully presented and so delicious. Afterwards I just had to check out some of their goodies to purchase. Some homemade pasta and a jar of their famous Ralph's Sauce (an 80 year old recipe) made their way home with me. Lol Very pet friendly with a hug outdoor seating area. Some covered some not. Such a fun place! I stopped in to check it out and left with the most beautiful set of knives. The lady behind the counter was so helpful and nice. The pasta is imported from Italy! I was so happy to find my favorite kind of pasta. CRESTE DI GALLO "rooster crest" curved crescent shaped pasta with ruffled edges. Perfect for holding all your favorite sauces. Our server Johanne is one of the most thoughtful woman I've came across. She made sure me and my cousins had the extra napkins and bowls that we needed, and provided an umbrella for my 5 month old cousin because of the bright sun. The food arrived within 20 minutes of ordering and was delicious. the portions were perfect sizes and I enjoyed every delectable served. Stopped here for lunch today and so glad we did! Warm bread appetizer was a homemade, crusty, herby loaf served with super fresh olive oil. Mixed olive appetizer complemented it perfectly. Both pasta dishes were excellent, both the garlic butter pasta (huge portion) with Italian sausage and the meat lasagna, which was made with the freshest homemade tomato sauce. My husband likes it a little spicier, but adding some sprinkles of red pepper flakes took care of that for him. Finally, the Mud Cake, a recent addition to the menu, was just the right amount of sweet, despite being a rich decadent dessert. Service was outstanding and there is ample free parking in the lot behind the building. Highly recommend! read more

Not exactly what we wanted to hear, but still greatly appreciated their honesty. Turned out our time frame was still acceptable. We ordered the meatball sub, prosciutto & salami flatbread, and the cheese stuffed shells with meatballs. While waiting for meals, everyone remarked on the great smells coming from the kitchen. Positive comments from all our diners. This place has a super comfortable feel. Went for lunch since the pizza restaurant next door was closed and so glad we did. We had the lobster ravioli and Basil Flatbread. The sauce in the Lobster ravioli was delicious. Found out you can buy the Ralph's sauce, which is sold in their store, add a little cream, and you have the lobster ravioli sauce. It was a little disappointing because I had wanted the Margherita flatbread but they ran out of tomatoes. However, the Basil Flatbread was really good. The service was excellent, both in the cafe and the store...very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area. read more

Boy howdy, was this place a welcome sight. There's always that point in a vacation where, having eaten all of the special tourist crap, you want something familiar. The Hampton Square plaza is a few blocks from the center of town (the old rail station, etc), and the building has a poorly maintained sign in the back parking lot (pictured). There is construction activity in the back as well, you should indeed park on that side of the building. It's a three minute walk from the tracks if you're on foot. TPM fills that nicer-than-usual niche in Blue Ridge. It's an Italian Bistro that occupies a single room in their retail suite; tables are in the back area for sit down service and a decent sized store takes up the rest of the space. The store itself carries a pleasant arrangement of food and food-adjacent items, pastas, and endless jars of Ralph's sauce, the house blend. There is a nice wall 'o wine bottles, from which we later picked something to go. I ordered the special of the day (pictured). It was a simple pasta with Ralph's sauce (a nice marinara) and a meatball or two. I don't remember the name of the pasta that comes out in the little spiral tubes, so forgive me. Also pictured is the very competent house salad. I note in the picture that there was a milder goat cheese served on the salad, which would usually occupied by less expensive but stronger-tasting gorgonzola. I found that to be a nice touch. Service was congenial and quick, especially considering that we were seated near closing time for the kitchen. On our way out, we grabbed a bottle and a cannoli from their ample prepared food section. It was a nice snack when we got back to the cabin. read more

Hands down our favorite place / experience in Blue Ridge, highly recommend. The staff is absolutely incredible, the food is great and the shop will make you want to spend your entire paycheck! We popped in as soon as they opened at 11am and were so thankful we did because the place was jam packed by 12pm! We grabbed two top by the window and were immediately greeted by the loveliest woman I think I've ever met. (Her name is Joey). She was so warm, friendly, cheery and hospitable. You could tell she loved her job very much! Everything she recommended we ordered. I felt like I was in an adorable wine bar in Europe. The prices were very reasonable too. We ended up with the warm bruschetta, the pesto pizza, stuffed shells with a side of meatballs, a few glasses of wine and dessert - tiramisu and affogato with chocolate ice cream. After lunch, we proceeded to buy both our parents lots of little holiday gifts for the kitchen including olive oils, balsamic glazes, pastas, etc. A must do in Blue Ridge! read more

This is a little jewel eatery. The Pasta Market is a darling boutique-type restaurant in the heart of Blue Ridge, Georgia and if you haven't found it already, start looking. Once you locate it, loop around the building so that you can park in a huge parking lot downstairs from it, then use the steps at the middle of the deck to get up to it. It's small, doesn't seat that many diners inside, but it has a spacious outdoor deck area for when the weather's warm. My Honey and I were looking for something new and foodie for Valentine's Day and we hit the jackpot. On entering, we were met by CINDY, a lovely lady who not only greeted and seated us, but also gave us a few tidbits about the biz. Look for Ralph's Sauce, no matter what else you do. The restaurant is divided between a small seating area and a gourmet pasta and gadgets boutique which not only has the ingredients in everything you'll be ordering for sale, but also has cold cases with bevvies and cheeses, ales and whatnot, and oh my, it's kid-in-a-candy-store time for us! Back to Ralph's Sauce. It's actually an 80- or 90- year-old recipe for OLD WORLD pasta gravy, red sauce of course, but it's so much more. He doesn't, nor has his family, ever used garlic in the gravy. We had it with several of our tastings and this fellow knows old world Italian, I give you my word. TAMMY, our pleasant and professional server, ran through the Valentine's special thing with us, hooked My Honey up with a mini-wine flight, and before I could get settled in good, she already had the charcuterie board on the table. She was unobtrusively attentive and did a bang-up job "keeping it coming," as we had ordered somewhat of a tasting menu so that we could sample a bit of what interested us most. We had the Valentine's Day Flight and Board, Caesar Salads (excellent fresh croutons, not the sort that break your teeth), an order of what they call "Garlic Butter Goodness," which is a daily-rotating-evolving pasta (chef's choice) with a light buttery sauce. It was just slightly under-salted for me, but for the sodium-sensitive types, it would be perfect. We also had the Lobster Ravioli and a side of the fresh locally-baked artisan Ciabatta with an oil dip and both were fabulous. The ravioli itself was so perfectly cooked that I'm willing to bet Scott Conant would have approved. The ciabatta was superb, perfectly crusty, light break, just the right amount of chewy. Could NOT have been done better. The place just feels right; ambience is a relative word, I know. The ambience of this place is just downright friendly, attention to detail, and whoever is back of house certainly knows how to cook and when I say that, it means something. More: On the little charcuterie board were several items of interest. There was a baked ravioli, five cheese type of deal, and My Honey loved it so much that she was interrogating the staff for technique and ingredients hints. I tasted it as well and it was truly remarkable. And, again, pasta cooked to Next Level Perfection. Usually, an Italian eatery struggles with getting even ONE pasta cooked correctly and we all know that. THIS place served us three pasta dishes, all done to Johnson & Wales perfection. I kid you not. First time I've ever experienced this. The cheese was kind of neat, too. A marbled Derry sort, popping with flavor. The bruschetta was out of the oven crusty fresh, topped with a fresh tomato, cheese and balsamic drizzle, just enough acid left in the tomato to compliment the rest of the board. Plus, there was the ubiquitous Ralph's Sauce, served hot for dipping, along with two beef meatballs that were melt in your mouth savory and satisfying. There is no "fake Italian" about this place. It's real. Really real. The food is real, the people are, too. After dining and packing up leftovers, we then headed to the little shop area where My Honey could have stayed the rest of the day. A really nice lady, MAGGIE, helped, advised, wrapped and packed until My Honey had four bags of whatnot of sundry types to bring home to experiment with. I'm looking forward to it, I've gotta say. We'll MOST DEF be back to The Pasta Market. It's a MUST for us now when in Blue Ridge. Y'all check it out, do! read more

Loved the ambiance. Very little seating, however this was not an issue as the restaurant was relatively empty when we went for lunch on a Friday (red flag). Service was fine. Food was terrible. We got a meatball appetizer that consisted of lukewarm meatballs on slices of a baguette with sauce and barely-melted cheese. The meatballs looked and tasted like the ones I buy at Costco. As for the entrees, I got the butternut squash ravioli and my boyfriend got pasta with pesto. The pasta consisted of a big pile of noodles with maybe a tablespoon of pesto. Again, the pesto tasted as though it came from a jar. For the price and portion size I would expect homemade pesto, even with how expensive pine nuts are. Now, onto the butternut squash ravioli. They were so, so sad. The portion was dismal for 15 or 16 bucks. They did indeed taste homemade, but they were just bad. Butternut squash ravioli are my favorite and I have eaten them at many restaurants. These were by far the worst. They were swimming in about an inch of butter and the filling just tasted off. I'd skip this one and spent $70 on lunch for two elsewhere. read more
