Several wine racks showcase an impressive selection and set the expectation for a well-curated menu. Service: We arrived early for a reservation for ten and were seated without hesitation. Despite the size of our party, service was seamless. Our server was prompt with drink orders, knowledgeable about the menu, and exceptionally patient with questions. Throughout the evening, he checked in regularly without hovering, and not once did we need to flag him down--attentive, professional service executed exactly as it should be. Appetizers: We shared several starters, including the Lamb Lollipops, Heirloom Tomato Caprese, Momma's Meatballs, and salads. The lamb was a standout--perfectly cooked with a delicate char and beautifully complemented by pesto. The Caprese featured unusually large tomato wedges, but any skepticism vanished after the first bite; the tomatoes and fresh mozzarella were excellent. We are there with a group of 10+ people in a private dining area and had one server who was pretty efficient considering the size of our group. Overall, the restaurant was a great atmosphere with tall feelings, and everything was very clean and put together. Even the bathrooms were upscale and clean, which was impressive. I had the braised beef and veal tortellini. It was a good meal, but my dish was pretty oily and probably could've used a bit more seasoning since the taste was more bland than I would've expected. I really enjoyed the wedge salad and thought that it was crisp and refreshing. I also got to enjoy a couple bites of the supreme pizza and it was delicious! Pretty patio. Weak food for too much money. I had the grilled shrimp pesto pasta. When it first arrived, the shrimp was so overcooked that it felt like I was chewing on a car tire. I pointed it out to our waitress Sofia, who was as sweet as she could be, and she took it back to have it fixed. When it returned, the shrimp was unchanged and just as overcooked. On top of that, the penne noodles were about as mushy and overcooked as mash potatoes, and the pesto sauce was not fresh or flavorful. I just left it be because Sofia was too kind and I was hungry. So, I reluctantly ate about half of the bowl, paid my whopping ~$25 for this extremely underwhelming dish, and went about my business. Service was great, but food and pricing were WEAK! read more

It was yummy and the sauces that accompanied the dish were fantastic. The calamari was a bit chewy fit my taste, but overall it was good. Next were our main dishes. My mom was visiting us, so we wanted to go out for a nice family dinner. We had seen the large sign for Twisted Tomato, and after seeing there were several locations, we decided to head here for dinner. They are dog friendly and kid friendly, which made it easy on us. We sat outside on the large patio deck, and there was plenty of room between the tables. Our server was funny and quick, and he made us laugh during our visit. We started off with the burrata, which are large chunks of tomato with a centerpiece of burrata surrounded by arugula salad and drizzled balsamic sauce. There was enough to split between four people. We ordered the quattro formaggio and the meat pizzas. They are wood fired 12 inch pizzas, and they came out fresh from the oven. There was more than enough pizza for three adults and a toddler, and my son loved chewing on the cheese that was on the cheese pizza. The pizzas tasted better than our favorite pizza place here in Jacksonville, and we had some leftovers to take home with us. If you are looking for a relaxing and delicious place to go while on vacation, I highly recommend this. read more

This was a true mixed bag of hits and misses. Arrived when they opened on Saturday at noon and were first in line. Hostess never came up until about 12:05. We were seated. Beautiful spacious place that has a great ambiance. Unfortunately, they placed far more effort on the ambiance than the fundamentals. Here is a breakdown without any exaggeration: 1) Ordered soft drinks and were told they were out of Sprite, Dr Pepper and Diet Coke. 2) Ordered the beef carpaccio, caprese salad and meatballs. Server came back and said they were out of the beef carpaccio. I asked what the soup of the day was and was told "we don't have one yet". I ordered a small wedge salad. 3) Ordered entrees. No kids menu so only real off menu options they had for kid was small portion of spaghetti, buttered noodles and small fettuccine Alfredo. Also, ordered burger, Chicken Parmesan and Pepperoni Pizza. Both appetizers were good, fresh and tasty. The wedge was good but, seriously only had three small pieces of bacon. The pickled onion really dominated with a strong vinegar taste but, it was ok as it was fresh and chilled and plentiful. The pizza was average and the Chicken Parmesan was voted as pretty food. The truffle fries that came with the sandwich were barely warm and overcooked. I had the burger and it was pretty rough. My fries were also not warm and overcooked. They did cook it to order and it was cooked appropriately. The bun was absolutely burned and it amazes me that anyone in the kitchen could have decided that it was appropriate to send it out like that. I decided just to disassemble and eat the patty with the cheese separately. I asked for a slide tomato (surprisingly the burger does not come with one. The server brings it out and again, how that past basic competence, I'll never know. It was good once I cut the stem off. All in all, it was $127 (before tip) of hits and misses for three adults and two children 4 and under. I would have been disappointed if it was $60 based on what we experienced. However, I would have been fine with $200 if things were consistently good and appropriately cooked and their relatively small menu had a properly stocked kitchen. I'm not sure if I will give this a try. I didn't read the reviews until after the fact (I wish I had) as I saw a lot of truth and similarities in what was written by others. It's a shame to see this kind of financial investment lacking just the basic fundamentals. It should be an easy correction but, looks like what we experienced was not a one off based on the other reviews. Also, it's telling when management has not responded to any of these reviews. Lastly, I did not complain to management as my logic was if they don't really care that they are out of some many different things at opening time, then I doubt they will care about my opinion. read more

Our waitress was very polite and attentive, BUT my wife and I both ordered the Chicken Alfredo, it was not good at all. I have actually made better myself with the sauce coming from a jar. You might say it was authentic so it tasted different. We have an authentic hole in the wall Italian restaurant in our small Home town that make a very good Chicken Alfredo. The chicken was inconsistent cooked with end portions being charred, there was plenty of noodles and enough sauce but we were unable to eat it. Made a reservation for 5:30, showed up 12 minutes early and hostess says you will need to wait until 5:30 I cannot seat you early even though they had empty tables. Ordered a pizza as an appetizer and put in our orders at the same time. Pizza arrived 45 minutes later. At 7 pm 1 of the people in our party went in and asked where our food was. An hour and half after arriving, no one knew and said oh we will bring it right out. 20 minutes later food arrived but the steak and sides were ice cold and steak arrived medium well not medium rare. Server noticed the steak was ice cold along with sides. Took it back to be re-fired, kitchen butterflied a filet mignon to cook it faster since we had now been there 2 hours. 2 1/2 hours after our arrival I went in to track down our server and pay our bill. No one offered an apology , a comp or anything. Oh I forgot we had no silverware and had to ask more than once for it and an extra plate. We will never go again and suggest unless you want a really long long evening of poor service, not great food and high prices you do not go either. read more

Great atmosphere with large bar open area. Food was really tasty and fresh. Our party had two appetizers, the breshetta and the meatballs. Wife had Caesar salad with grilled chicken on top, had a bite and was flavorful. Another had a meatball pizza with homemade crust. They had a full bar, all the drinks were well made with some unique twists, like the fireside old fashion served in a glass case full of something like freeze dried vapor with a pleasant oak Smokey smell of some sort and you take your drink out of it, great presentation. Sarah served us and she was terrific. The food/appetizers and drinks came out at the right pace. All around a great dining experience.
