Went on Sunday afternoon, busy but not packed. We were seated promptly, & our waiter spoke on his way to another table. He came right back and took our drink order. Throughout our time here he continually came by to check on us. I ordered the baby back ribs with chicken tenders, I substituted the salad bar for one of my sides. My wife ordered a chicken salad. She was disappointed that they had discontinued a salad that she really enjoyed. She liked the salad she did order though. I went to the salad bar, which was nicely stocked and fresh. The employee working this area struck up a friendly conversation and added to my enjoyment of selecting this reastuarant. My ribs & chicken were also delishous. We don't eat out at a lot of sit down reasturants but will keep them in mind when we do in the future. read more

After Covid my son and I were put up in a hotel from hell , while our home was being updated. My son has epilepsy and has an emotional companion our amazing dog !! So we decided to try Lake City food restaurants. First was Ruby Tuesday, my very good friend takes me out to celebrate. Ruby Tuesday use to be my favorite in my hometown of Jax. Here's the thing about chain restaurants - they are not all alike. As in any business the skill and attitude of the employees can make or break it. In the case of the Lake City, FL Ruby Tuesday, the employees I noticed were all focused on doing their work on a busy Valentines Day service. All were being kind, working together and getting it done. But, I saw the most extraordinary job being done by the salad bar steward/attendant. This lady managed that salad bar like it was her personal work of art. She was so keen on grooming every element perfectly, so intent on making sure nothing was missing that I had to watch her and be amazed by her dedication to her job. One of the worst places I've ever been. Got attitude from a worker as soon as I came in, Asked for a well done burger with extra cheese. This is by far the worse place I've ever eaten. Great waitress though. Such a nice young lady. We had a chicken sandwich to go and ordered it with extra spicy sauce and omg the damn chicken is totally burnt the hell up. The so called grilled zucchini was horrible and very very cold. The sandwich had literally one small piece of bacon and literally barely a hint of sauce to go with the dry ass burnt chicken sandwich!! Horrible place. Angie went above and beyond to help me out! I was looking to cater food into an office in Lake Butler last minute and was running into road block after road block. After calling several restaurants closer and being shut down, I called Ruby Tuesday and was connected with Angie who informed me that they didn't have any delivery drivers in but was quick to add that she wanted to help. She took my number and said she would try and figure something out and call me back. Five minutes later she called to say she found someone to deliver the food and walked me through a few good options for ordering. I work with a lot of offices in several states that I have food catered into, typically set up in advance, and this is by far the best experience I have had. I started going to this Ruby Tuesday since my other Lake City restaurant I went to on the way home (Tallahassee) from my monthly work in The Villlages closed at 10pm, and Ruby Tuesday was open until 11:00. I tried their Bourbon Glazed Salmon the first time. It was delicious....cooked perfectly. The baked potato was also great. The next month I ordered the same dish. However, it was disappointing because the salmon was tough, being over-cooked. Last night was my 3rd visit and with some trepidation I ordered the salmon again. To my delight, it was cooked to perfection: crusted on top, and tender throughout. The baked potato was simply delicious, as was the broccoli. It was a to-go order and sometimes those orders sit and it's barely warm by the time you pick it up. This meal was nice and warm; the potato was actually hot. It was all-in-all an absolutely delicious meal, one of the best I've ever had. And that's saying something, as I am 72 years old! I have only been to a few of their locations, as I usually do not go to chain restaurants like this, and this one was my least favorite of their locations so far. On a Monday night with very few people there it took a very long time for our food to come out and the salad bar ran out of several items and they were never restocked. The service was pretty good and the food was not bad, but overall I think they could do better. read more

one of our favorite restaurant for husband and wifey dinner date. so we almost tried everything...ooppss...only me because my husband always order the unlimited salad bar which never failed him to get healthy full tummy with very reasonable price...so this time i ordered pork steak and it is really thick, cooked (as i requested) yet juicy, and the sweet thick sauce made me clean the bones...yummy! yahaha! french fries is always good here...but the rice that they served is always too salty for me...the first time, second time i ordered it i thought it is only my tastebud, the third time i wanted to comment but our server is too nice ...but this is the fourth time i had the rice and still salty although the server is always nice...i am asian so i will still order the rice here next time ha! ha! ha! because aside from that everything is really good and recommendable! read more

My 92 year old father has eaten at the franchise in other locations so we tried the one in Lake City. We both had the baby back ribs with the dry rub and Bourbon sauce. It was delicious. I wish I had ordered the full rack. They were rather small and just six of them. The waitress was extremely friendly and energetic. Wish I had asked her name. She was expecting her third child and mother-in-law worked there too. I had grilled zucchini which I love. It was a little over-grilled but who cares! We realized later that the vets home (Robert H. I've been here three times and I can tell you the service is horrible. I sat in the bar all three times. While they promote the garden bar this location does not maintain it; there was brown lettuce and many of the other sides were clumpy and not fresh. On Saturday, August 17th, 2013 my wife and I had dinner at the Lake City Ruby Tuesday. We were on our way back from our annual visit to Wisconsin and stay in Lake City on our way back to our home in Sun City Center. We have done this for the past six years and have never been disappointed with the food and service. But this year was special because I left my American Express card at the restaurant and did not discover that it was missing until the next day when I wished to use it to charge a meal at our club. I called the Ruby Tuesday to find out if they had found my card. They had!!!!! I asked if they would mail it to me (which they did). So thanks to manager CHUCK MILLSAP I did not have to report my card missing. We will definitely stop at this restaurant on our way back from Wisconsin next August for the food and the EXEPTIONAL service. read more

We won't go again. My son's steak had been over-marinated to the point that it was squishy. It also had little flavor. My ribs were okay but not outstanding. My shrimp was heavily breaded and way overcooked. The one good thing was the salad bar which was very fresh and crisp. However, I resent paying that much just for a salad. What a HORRIBLE disappointment. After a long day on the road, we were wanting a fresh, hot dinner. Our TO GO order consisted of the following, BBQ ribs with a Caesar salad and fries, a BBQ chicken salad, chopped, and a side order of onion rings with ranch dressing. Our order consisted of BBQ ribs (which my husband said were good) but no salad or ketchup for his fries. My BBQ chicken salad was not chopped, was wilted, and 2 pieces of broken flat bread laying on top. I had 6 onion rings in my order, 3 large and 3 the size of a half dollar, and no ranch dressing (or ketchup) for dipping. I figure 50 cents per ring, not a bargain considering I only ate 2. Not good. I don't know when Ruby Tuesday decided to try to be a high-end restaurant, but they should go back to their day job. The BBQ Chicken flatbread was so overcooked that the sauce was dried into the crust and the cheese had hardened. The chicken was basically jerky. Only ate one slice. Ordered a Buffalo chicken tender appetizer for my son along with the garden bar and he received the $10 adult dinner along with the adult fee for the salad bar. Seriously? He's 7. Didn't catch it until we got the bill and we were out of luck then. For four kids and two adults our bill was nearly $100. The two adults got water and salad bars. Go figure. Nowhere near worth that price. I can go eat at a much nicer sit-down restaurant with much better quality food and spend less than $100. The service was mundane, nothing special. We were blatantly gawked at by many staff and customers alike--maybe it was obvious that we aren't from Lake City (thank God) but seriously, show some manners and restraint, people. Suffice it to say, we will not be eating here again. I'm iffy on the Gainesville location too at this point but we'll give them a chance. Hopefully their food is better. Giving two stars because the croutons on the salad bar are still amazing, my daughter raved over her delicious burger and my mom loved her cocktail. Not enough to make it worth stopping for, though.
