Terrible experience I got screamed at by a worker! So no one was in line except for me and i was scanning the menu, They just discontinued my favorite item and got in the fall menu so ordering took a little bit longer no longer than 2 minutes max. In this time frame the lady over the speaker got more and more progressively aggressive. and in the most condescending tone they are raising there voice if i have any questions which i respond sorry, i need a little extra time. They then at the top of there lungs scream "DO YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS". I raise my voice back and said no have a good day and drive off. Panera is a great place to grab a solid meal & enjoy a wonderful ambiance. As you can see in the photos, the salads were amazing. On top of that I think the Smokehouse Sandwich is the best sandwich in town. We ate for under $25, including drinks, and took a pile of salad home. Can't beat that! read more

I'm a fan of Panera. There's something for everyone. It's hard to find a place with decent healthy options when you're on the road, so I was glad to find a Panera on our way to Tampa, FL. We stopped by this location on New Year's Day for a late lunch. There's ample parking in front of the restaurant and plenty of overflow parking available in back of the shopping center. I was greeted immediately upon entering. The space is clean, open, and naturally bright. Nice, modern interior. They require masks, have sanitizer provided and have limited capacity. My family and I ordered several things, and I had the following: Mediterranean bowl Frozen caramel cold brew Everything but the kitchen sink cookie I've never had any issues with the taste or quality of my food at any Panera, including this one. The bowl was filling and flavorful without leaving me feeling heavy afterwards. It came with quinoa, tomatoes, feta, arugula, etc. The frozen cold brew was very sweet, and might have been overly sweet for some but I didn't mind. It was a nice treat as well the cookie. The service during my visit was wonderful. The staff members I encountered were very friendly and helpful. I didn't wait long for my order. read more

I was so shocked at how quickly we got thru the long line at this Panera. That's simply unheard of with Panera. The guy at the window was really nice and processed my payment and got my food to me so quickly. And then, I saw it. They made my sandwhich with burnt bread! I had to pull the burnt crust off because it not only tasted terrible but was impossible to bite thru. The bread that was left was horribly chewy and because the crust had to be torn off, not enough bread to contain the sandwhich ingredients. So my need to eat while driving turned into a huge mess. In Lake City, FL We ate here years ago and the food was off the chain delicious. Never went back because it's expensive for what you get. Well we were given a gift card so we went. We ordered online for $3 off and the bill was $25.88. My wife got a salad which she liked. I ordered a Buffalo Chicken sandwich and vegetable soup. Well my sandwich was mostly bread with a little chicken and sauce that dried into the bread. The worst sandwich I've ever paid for anywhere. I cut my sandwich in two and scraped all the chicken off one half and placed it on the other half. There was just chicken, that's all and It was dry and flavorless. The soup was practically all broth and I make vegetable soup from scratch that would put their soap to shame. The only reason I gave it two stars is because my wife was happy with her salad. I love Panera - unfortunately I got accustomed to not checking my Panera order when I was living in a different town. I picked up two orders from the LC Panera yesterday: one was a sandwich and one was the strawberry salad. I ate the sandwich yesterday and planned to eat the salad today. I realized today that they did not include the poppyseed dressing. And the strawberry salad does not exactly go well with salad dressings I have at home like ranch or Italian. When I called Panera, the person who answered the phone asked for my name and wrote down the time of my order yesterday. She didn't ask for my phone number or offer an apology for the inconvenience. I'm pretty disappointed that they didn't include the dressing but more disappointed in the response. The sandwich was great yesterday and I guess I'll eat the fruit separately from the chicken and lettuce, but it sure would have been nice to have gotten the dressing. read more

While I really like the food here, something is lacking. Not the biggest selection of food choices and many items are seasonal. But the biggest drawback is their prices. WAY over-priced in my opinion, and it's easy to still leave hungry. Also not the greatest selection of drinks, yet they're realling pushing that "sip club" membership. Maybe the only problem I had here was the parking. They have enough, there was plenty, but I came in from the side road and it looked like I had to go through the dice through or the wrong way up the lane between the building they're in and the adjacent building. Turns out there's parking right up front if you get there, but my first time here and in the rain it wasn't clear. So I wound up walking around the building in the rain. Once inside everything was great. Well, mostly. I prefer to order from a human rather than a kiosk, and there were no humans in view for several minutes when I came in, so I used the kiosk. I found everything except how to tell them I wanted my bagel toasted twice to get brown, so I walked to the kitchen window and finally found a human who cheerfully agreed to get my bagel right, which she did. (Run on sentence much? ) In some of my recent visits to other Panera's the everything bagels have been lackluster, sp I've been going less. Today's was flavorful and what I expect from a bagel. And I got hot tea today for the first time at a Panera. I love hot teas, I've just never had one at a Panera. I tried the British Breakfast with a Ginger Peach. The British Breakfast overpowered the Founder Peach to where I wondered if it was even in there. I'll have to try the ginger peach alone next time to see if there's actually any peach to it. It any ginger for that matter. I got here at 8:15a and been here about an hour and it's been very quiet the whole time. Maybe that explains the lack of humans at the counter. If passing through the area again I wouldn't hesitate to come in with a laptop and work for a while. The restroom was clean as is the whole place. This is my second time ordering Panera bread for delivery in Lake City and both times they have been great! A friend and I ordered online and they came exactly on time with our orders correct. I ordered the turkey sandwich and my friend ordered a panini and salad. All of it was delicious and fresh. I have had a problem with a different Panera location and their to go orders but this place does a really great job. I like the online ordering because you have more options that if you are just in the store. You can also choose a specific time that you want it to be dropped off. We ordered in the morning and it came right when we wanted in the afternoon. Often for me it boils down to a choice between Starbucks and Panera when it comes to coffee. But when it comes to food, there is no contest. Panera wins hands down every single time...and they don't cheapen their brand, like Starbucks, by putting second class cafes in grocery stores. Lake City has a Panera which is as good as our favorite in Pompano Beach. Their salads, sandwiches, and breads are simply brilliant. The staff is friendly and courteous and, as I wrote above, their coffee is wonderful. Special mention goes to Paneras everywhere for their souffles. It is a favorite and Lake City makes 'em as good as any. For a food chain, Panera is difficult to beat and the outlet in Lake City is up there with the best. read more

I tried that the new healthy bowl that contains grill chicken tossed in a Ginger sauce, broccoli, red beans ,quinoa. I tried the bowl in Lake City. Everything but the chicken was tasty. The chicken tasted like paper infused artificial meat coated in a Ginger sauce. Because I appreciate panera and their efforts to serve clean food in a fast food setting, I decided to give it a second try upon my return to Jacksonville. Before ordering the bowl I inquired if the chicken was a plant based meat substitute; maybe that would attribute to the taste. Someone yelled from the kitchen" no it is a marinated thigh meat". I accepted that and tried the bowl again. Someone then suggested that they not heat the meat longer to avoid the dried out taste. I will say it did help a little however the bowl leaves a lot to be desired . Maybe Panera would do better to serve the bowl without the meat. It seems like the food at this location has gotten better. When the location first opened there was a weird smell, but thankfully now that is gone as well. The food usually arrives early quickly, is pretty fresh, and hot. The pastries are consistently good as well. The only recommendation I would have for this restaurant and Corporate management would be to add some "energy" to the store. It's typically fairly quiet, not too busy, no music, and too much overly quiet. Ordered 2 of the new chicken sandwich and corn chowder soup. The sandwich tasted like I was eating rubber, absolutely no flavor at all and chewy. There were no toppings except a tiny piece of lettuce and whatever the little crunchies are they put on it. The soup was good. The restaurant was very clean and the employees were very friendly. I was shocked that the bill came to $34.00 at lunch. WHAT! for soup and sandwich. I could have had so many other more delicious complete meals for that amount of money. Never again. Soooo slow. It took like 10 mins for a latte in an empty restaurant. And there was explanation or reason as to why.

I was very upset and disappointed to see a manager at this location handling food orders while not properly wearing a mask. We watched as this manager prepared the to-go food orders with her entire nose hanging out of the top of her mask. While the other employees (and even customers) were wearing their masks properly, it doesn't matter if one person is not willing to do the bare minimum to protect people in their restaurant. It is really a shame to see someone in the food service industry who is unwilling to put in the minimal effort by properly wearing a mask WHILE HANDLING FOOD. I don't think it is asking a lot. This is a public health issue. We will not be returning to this Panera. I am writing this review so that others can be aware of the situation and can avoid this location if they want to keep themselves and their loved ones safe and healthy. read more

I have always liked Panera restaurants...I am glad Lake City finally has one. I have been going to the lake city location since they opened for business. I have been there twice this week and both times there has been an issue with their coffee. I have had to wait while they Start brewing a new pot because it was either empty or sitting there over an hour and old . Some of their employees are not really on the ball. The best part about coming here is that if you have the Panera bread ago" your phone you can order ahead for "rapid pick-up" or if you want to dine inside you can order from your table.
