I always loved Rudy's when I ventured downtown and this was just as good as I remember. The service was very quick and the fries and burger came out hot and fresh. What I love about their burger is the juicy patty and the fresh veggies. In addition their spicy chicken burger surprised me with how good it was. It was super juicy on the inside but nice and crispy on the outside. It wasn't too spicy. The inside was clean and wasn't too busy when I arrived so plenty of seating. All in all best burger in the area and just as good as the downtown location

Rudy cheeseburger with bacon and skinny fries. Yum.

Wanted to try here for forever. Ordered takeout for lunch. We ordered a Rudy burger with cheese and bacon and Baby crudy with bacon on lettuce instead of a bun, as well as an order of skinny fries. That was a pretty good smash burger! It's not the absolute best one I've had but definitely worth getting. The French fries were good too, just a little cold but that happens when you get food delivered. I would definitely say try it. I have absolutely no complaints about the burger at all. Super tasty patty!

Poutine was good for Ontario. The gravy was thick & rich, the fries were quite crispy & the cheese curds were reasonably squeaky. I had Thick Fries for takeout but when fresh they were probably decent. Coleslaw was crisp but tasted odd - it was clearly vinegar based but not tart & there was an odd note. The burgers were good with fluffy buns. Rudy was pretty good but Baby crudy especially had a nice char & crust & the patty was pretty juicy & tasty, with pretty good fried onions.

I liked that I got a small poutine as the side because the poutine at Rudy's is excellent.

The patty was tasty with spices & moist enough. I couldn't detect a grill sear but it was already tasty with the spice mix. The burger was assembled carefully (it helped that I was the only customer). The burger sauce was good & Goldilocks-applied (not too much, not too little) & the cheese was properly melted onto the patty. The toppings were good & the bun was a black & white sesame bun, though it was a touch dry. The fries were Cavendish fries & they were well-fried, so there was a nice exterior texture & savoury taste. When I visited the Richmond Hill outlet years ago I believe they used real bacon but this outlet uses beef bacon (the website just calls it bacon).

Cons: menu is pricy. Also would've loved less special sauce (mayo), and would've wished cheese and bell peppers were added instead just a bit of mushroom. Would've been a definite 10/10. (Plenty of meat inside though!) Their Bread is WOW....amazingly delicious n fresh! The onion rings, were too doughy and bland, needed seasoning and more crisp. Also tried their fries, much better, however would've wished it had been seasoned more and again more crisp. Overall: TASTE 8/10 Price 6/10 *($25 for the combo with tax) Service and timing 10/10 Will be back to try other items! Thank you!

I saw a sign saying that there was a Wendy's if I took the Aurora Road exit. That's weird. I take it fairly often and I never remembered seeing a Wendy's. It's actually further west. Aurora Road becomes Wellington Street East when you head westbound. It's on the latter street. I had no problem finding this Wendy's. It's a combo store with Tim Hortons, so it's one-stop shopping for your burger and donut needs. This Wendy's has a drive-thru. I wanted to dine in. I backed into a spot across from the drive-thru. I then placed an order through my Wendy's app. My favourite burger at Wendy's is the bacon portobello mushroom melt. It's here for a limited time. I wish that it were permanently on the menu. It's such a yummy burger. I ordered the following: - Bacon portobello mushroom melt - Side chili - Medium fountain drink - Small cherry crumble vanilla frosty The estimated time for my order to be ready was five minutes. Cool! I walked into the eatery. Wendy's is on the left. I needed to use the washroom. It's in the middle, shared between the two businesses. The washroom was clean. I liked that the soap dispenser and dryer work when you put your hands under them. I used it again before heading out the door. I headed over to the dining area. I found a booth and sat down. I placed my jacket down. Once my order was ready, I headed over to the counter to pick it up. The nicest woman was at the counter. I said that I had an app order under my name. She said that it was almost ready. The burger was nearly done. She gave me a cup to fetch my fountain drink. I like that it has a fancy Coke Freestyle fountain machine. I got a Barq's zero sugar vanilla root beer. I later returned to fill it up. I put ice in my cup. This drink was delicious, especially cold with ice. I headed back to the counter and my food was ready. The woman also gave me a tray for my drink and frosty. I thanked her and headed to my booth. It was a good idea to put my jacket down on the seat. A man wanted to sit down and noticed my jacket. He found a different table. I loved my bacon portobello mushroom melt. The beef patty was yummy. The bacon was generous and was jutting out of my burger. The mushrooms were meaty and hearty. The melty cheese sauce brought everything together. The bun was soft. It was a nice change from having one with sesame seeds on top. So good! I chose chili as my side. It's my go-to side at Wendy's. It was hearty and yummy. It had a lot of beef, beans, tomatoes, onions, and more. Eating it was so enjoyable that I forgot to put crackers in it. Oops! When I saw that there was a cherry crumble frosty, I had to give it a try. You can choose to get it in chocolate or vanilla. I went for the latter. It tasted like a slice of cherry pie got mixed into a vanilla frosty. It was delightful. I got a small because I wasn't sure if I'd like it. Maybe I'll go for a medium next time. I liked my experience. Staff were friendly. The food and drinks were yummy. I'm a fan. (31)

A couple Saturdays ago, I was running a few errands. Once I was done, I felt like visiting a diner for lunch. I did a search and found Poached Dreams Diner in Aurora. I didn't mind driving up from Markham to check it out. It was straightforward getting here. I parked in the parking lot and walked in from what looked like the back of the diner. There's also a front door with a patio that faces Wellington Street East. I was immediately greeted by a young, enthusiast woman. I let her know that I needed a table for one. She got me to a comfortable booth by the window. The catch is that you have to watch your step to get to your seat. It's a treat when I have breakfast out. I thought that I'd be getting french toast. Well, all that changed when I saw a heading for comfort foods on the menu. Nothing makes me happier than seeing open-faced sandwiches on a menu. It was probably during my days living in Winnipeg that I fell in love with such sandwiches and at least a side. New goal: come here and have every open-faced sandwich on the menu. I got cold water to start. It was refreshing and much needed after running errands. I ordered these items for my meal: - Diet Coke (2) - Hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and veggies My Diet Coke came with a glass with ice. I loved it. I wish the can was larger! I needed a second can for dessert. I loved my hot turkey sandwich. There was a generous amount of sliced turkey smothered in sauce over a slice of white bread. I got to choose my starch. I went with mashed potatoes. There was enough gravy over the turkey that I dunked my spoonfuls of mashed potatoes into it. I loved the steamed veggies. They were perfectly cooked. They also went into the gravy. The meal was delicious. I'd order it again. I felt like dessert. I asked if there was any. Baklava with pistachios. I said yes. I thought that it would be a square or rectangle. Nope. I got a roll. Cool! It was perfect. It had the right amount of honey. It was crispy and yummy. So good! I paid my bill at the table. I tipped and then tapped my credit card. I elected to have the receipt texted to my phone, which also signed me up for its points program. Yay! I learned that this diner has been open since June 2025. I'm always late to any party because I seem to live under a rock or in a cave. I'm glad that I visited this eatery. Great food. Great service. Great! I used the washroom before I left. The women's washroom was clean and had a full-length mirror. This eatery is huge. It looks like there's a cafe for those grabbing coffee and maybe a snack before leaving. I look forward to returning for more good eats and drinks. (148)
