I did not end up needing to hire Rudy, but he spent a lot of time educating my husband and I about our foam cushions, the quality of couches and the support/frame in the couches, and felt he deserved a review for his honesty, integrity and friendliness. He showed us examples, in addition to a chair he was repairing for a client and showing us the structure and support under the cushion. He wanted to be sure we weren't going to spend money to replace the foam inserts in our cushions and still sink into the couch if the issue was actually the couch and not the foam. Rudy was great!! I called him, I took my truck into his shop to get an estimate. The headliner in our truck was a mess and was ripped everywhere. My husband told me the only thing he wanted for Christmas was the headliner and his torn seats to be fixed in his truck. Thank you Rudy for saving us from having to buy a new sectional couch! We've only had our couch for 5 years and the foam cushions had seriously lost its firmness and form-everything else is great with the couch. What we were left with were sinking seat cushions that made our backs hurt. After looking at around $4k for a new sectional !! I called sofa spectrum to see if they did foam cushion replacements , they did not, but referred to Rudy down the street from them. Rudy was professional, friendly and truly looks out for his customers. He wanted to make sure I was picking the correct firmness, so he sent me home with "homework" lol. I took 3 tester cushions home to see how sitting on each level of firmness would feel. It's nice to know that he cares and is not just interested in taking your money. We found Rudy through Yelp and wanted to have him work on a very old chair that was not in great shape. He worked miracles; the new upholstery looks amazing and was top notch. He was able to fix the springs and do some other small repairs. Working with him was easy, and we really appreciated his suggestions and work ethic! Outrageous prices! I took a small love seat to get reupholstered and Rudy quoted me nearly $700...I couldn't believe it. It would only cost me $250 to get a new one! Rudy was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Our 2007 Yamaha AR230 boat had sat out in the elements and the upholstery was ruined. He gave us his opinion on what was needed, provided color samples etc. We were wowed with the result, looks like a brand new boat with the new seats and the orange trim he suggested really makes the new upholstery pop and compliments the outside color of the boat.
