The beef taco is AMAZING!! Hands down, the best beef taco I have ever had. I hear that they deep fry the meat. I don't know what they do, all I know if that Iicked my ate clean! So, you are probably wondering why 4 stars, instead of 5? Well, the carnitas taco was not good. The carnitas had a weird taste and smell. After the first bite, it went in the trash. Additionnaly, the refried beans were really dry and the rice was over powered by too much garlic. On a better note, cheese enchilada and chile releno were pretty good. So, go to Rudy's and at least order the beef taco...and you too will be licking your plate clean. read more

Hands down absolutely wonderful food! We stopped by and had some lunch on a busy Saturday and we weren't sure what to expect. We ordered a chimichanga and chicken enchiladas and they were so flavorful. If we lived closer, this would be our go to Mexican spot. I had ordered some Chips and Salsa from this Rudy's location on DoorDash a few days ago, and this was about an hour and a half before they were going to close. They not only chose to ignore my order, they decided to ignore it until they closed their restaurant and cancelled my order altogether!! To make things worse after DoorDash had refunded my account with the money I unfortunately chose to spend on this location this Rudy's location decided to dip back into my bank account and take my money anyways! I've had Rudy's a few times, and the past few times I've gotten burritos which I think were better than what I had today, but still pretty meh. I got the salmon taco special, which came with rice and beans. The tacos were pretty average--I didn't think they had that much flavor except for the pineapple salsa. I also got chips and guac, and the chips have pretty much no salt, plus the guac was also kind of bland. Even the rice wasn't very flavorful. I think if you want this type of Mexican cuisine, you can definitely find better in town. I personally love Los Agaves and would say even Los Arroyos has better rice. read more

It's a shame that I had an experience so bad, I feel compelled to write this about a business I've been going to since they opened their first location Montecito Street. Rudest cashier I've ever dealt with. It began with his having difficulty swiping my cc. (BTW, guys, it's COVID, dirty point of sale monitors & card swipers is not so good anyway). I mentioned he should tell the owners cleaning kits for card swipers are very cheap, and that I knew this due to my having run a local restaurant chain in the past. He immediately insulted the restaurant, and when I called him out on his customer service in making the insult, he insulted me. I will not be doing business with Rudy's anymore until I receive an apology. The date this happened was September 30, 2020 at 2:06pm. The ticket # was W88. The invoice # was 200930-01-88. Until now, I always visited Rudy's one to two times a week. That's quite a bit of annual sales you guys just lost. I strongly suggest you discipline this cashier and either provide him with some basic customer service training, or more appropriately, terminate his employment. read more

This is a great restaurant with super sweet service! The food was very fresh and came very quickly. Loved the pickled jalapeños and onions. I eat there 2-3 times a week.. I try to eat at different Rudy's location so they don't say this guys is weird lol... The food is unbelievably delicious and everything is fresh. My coworkers and I go here for the huge tacos!! The meat is so flavorful and juicy. I love how they are loaded with lettuce and cheese. They have a really nice salsa bar with pickled onions and jalapenos. They also hook you up with chips with your order. The staff is very friendly.
