After years of being a customer I will be cancelling my credit card for this and a few other disappointing situations in last few months like broken earrings out of box that they refused to take back at store and told me I could try to sell on a place like eBay . So essentially in black Friday I walked past all of the anxious angry at me shoppers to the front of the line and was immediately called up. Im telling you.... definitely the way to go. There is parking for the lower level where women's, juniors and make up e.t.c is and more parking around the other side for the second level where mens, kids and home goods are. Some pretty freaking awesome black Friday specials (like fleece shirts for $6.99 essentially a steal). After picking my items up I went and tried the items on right there in store and ended up buying more because of how much I liked them. Service was awesome. Store was clean. My mother is elderly and I have a difficult time breathing without proper air ventilation so I got sick within minutes. All customers that walked in from the mall to JcPenney immediately felt the drastic change in temperature. I am giving them grace and hope it was a mechanical mishap and not intentional. I know business is bad, but that made it worst because we couldn't shop under those circumstances. I hope they take care of that!

(4 stores later) Anyway, Maurice was one of those 4 stores later places. It wasnt terrible. There's a place to sit right in front of the dressing room so if needed your lying girlfriend can do a pretty woman montage of her trying on outfits without the cool 80s music. There was a lady there that helped. And she was pleasant. Her name was Dani. She listened to me complain the whole time and didn't roll her eyes or anything. So that's good. She was helpful and kept busy. And the girlfriend was really looking at the clearance rack and Dani would be like hey I'm putting these pants out on clearance now. And in my head I was thinking that she was just grabbing random pants off the rack or they were other pants that customers were wearing so she put a clearance tag on it just to appease us. Can you imagine these customers leaving the store with no pants on and thinking that was the weirdest department store ever. Also I'm pretty sure Dani worked there...

I'm one of those people that don't like to go clothes shopping because it always feels so intimidating, and I never feel good about myself afterward. My experience completely flipped at Maurices today! Felisha (I'm not sure if I'm spelling her name correctly) was who helped me out for the most part, and she made sure to make me feel comfortable and welcome the whole time! I simply cannot brag on her enough, she went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable in everything I was trying on & helping me find the correct sizes!! I have genuinely never had such a warm experience in a retail store before, and I will definitely ask for Felisha any time I go back. I'm not sure of the other gal's name that helped me out, but she was also very warm, kind. and willing to answer all my questions. Specifically, was looking for a denim dress, and their only offering was a sleeveless style leftover from the summer. Was seriously surprised that there were no long sleeve versions for fall. Walked around for quite some time and was never offered assistance. Finally found a service member, and she confirmed that they didn't have any fall denim dresses. They did have a nice selection of chocolate brown pieces, the color of 2025, and some faux suede and faux fur handbags. For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, they had a display of pink sweatshirts, hoodies and totes. And of course jeans in many styles - wide leg, super ridiculously wide leg, straight, barrel (which I just don't get) and straight. Glad to see options beyond skinny jeans that were the rage for years. Parking right out front makes it easy to pop in and out of this store.

The manager is friendly, I believe their name is Luna! I frequent daiso for their holiday decor, school stationery, and all things kitchen. I got a bunch of baking supplies there along with some small kitchen items. I do tend to walk around longer than I should but it's really hard not to esp when you think you'll notice something after several rounds of walking around. They stock Royal iced coffee. Because I am from Hawaii, seeing the can in their fridge always makes me happy. I always go in and buy a can even if I have coffee from blackrock already in my car, I can't help it! It makes me think of home. Aside from the manager being friendly, the employees are as well. They don't stalk you like some places would. They sometimes say Hi but mostly focus on other things and let you go about your day while shopping.
