Boo is a ShiPoo, ShihTzu/Poodle, which is a very shaggy dog, but I like to see her eyes/personality so I asked Maya to clip her face hair very short. Boo is 6 months old and Maya first clipped her hair at 3 months. Maya is quite sensitive to the dogs and explained that at first she would do a little bit of trimming plus Boo's nails to get her used to the process and the instruments. Then she could work on trimming her face more. Maya is less expensive than in-salon grooming, and her trailer is new and spotless with an environmentally-protective water system. BTW I highly recommend the ShiPoo cross-breed. I went to the shelters but all they had were big dogs. Boo has a wonderful disposition and sheds less than I do.

She was great with her! Of course my sweetie growled and tried to bite the groomer, but Sylvie was very calm, sat on the floor and spoke to my baby. She started to gain her trust and pet her and the aggressive behavior stopped! I felt comfortable that she was in the right place full of love and was not going to be mishandled. I got updates and photos from Sylvie during the process and couldn't believe my eyes! My baby was actually calm and let Sylvie do her grooming magic and transformed her from a scruffy puppy into a sleek sophisticated fancy pet:) I highly recommend this groomer. I usually groom Ravioli 1/month & I keep him cut like a fox. I let his coat grow out since we were on East coast & he needed the protection. I'm giving this business 5 stars because it's obvious from my experience that they are dependable as a routine groomer as well as they really know how to cater to the local demand which has to be touristy. Canyon ranch is a beach resort/healthy living spa etc so folks wanna feel pampered & have their dogs feel that way too! I'm pretty indulgent because my dog puts up with a lot & when I have the opportunity i splurge. The staff were understanding when I walked in 15-20 mins late (partly because a treatment went over time & because I'm not familiar with area). They had an AMAZING store, full of hand picked items fro. Europe...very cozy but upscale. You could tell that the owner, a french woman, loves what she does & loves dogs. She was very warm & sweet to ravioli & listened to my diatribe about his particulars even though it was probably unnecessary. I got to meet groomer. Only spoke for a second & I'm not really picky about specifics-I just had fun picking out all the funny fancy add-ons like a mineral soak & a paw buffering etc. Seriously, I've never seen his paws look more perfect. His cut is perfect. I didn't even know I wanted that haircut! I left it up to groomer on some of the details. They do delivery one way or round trip. The cost is reasonable. I spent about $90 on a full cut and wash & detangler & another $50 on other services. Also, they spent the entire day with him! Totally impressed! Will definitely be back. And to use their daycare. Couldn't be happier.

And due to the size it tends to be very expensive at most places and he's been butchered at several. My friend referred me to Puppylicious, which is a bit of a drive from my home in East Delray Beach but when I say it is worth it, it truly is. The fees are average - not cheap and not overly expensive (a 200lb Newf is already expensive anywhere) but I would consider their fees very fair for the beautiful job they do. I don't like to drive to Broward County for anything to be honest but they made it worth the drive and we're flexible with scheduling and arranging pickup time. The team is extremely kind and very skilled. You can tell they enjoy the company of animals, love what they do and listen to their customers' needs. Xavier leaves feeling so wonderful, because Newfies are truly not built for hot summer climates with their long heavy coat. Paulo and his stylists new exactly what would feel comfy for him and still keep his classic Newfoundland charm (my floofy newfie!) This groomer/salon is definitely in my top local businesses I'd recommend, and the best we've found Semi-nearby (we tried several around Boca and Delray and the poor guy got butchered - not because of the groomers, per se, but simply the very specific skill it takes to groom a dog this size and breed) Thanks Puppylicious!

Millie is 9 months and we trained and socialized her really well so I would not say she is aggressive or super fearful. We dropped her off around 11:30. We called earlier to check for availability and they were super flexible that day which was awesome. There was a lady on the phone who was super nice and when we dropped her off we handed Millie to Paulo. Told Paulo it was Millie's first time. We wanted just her to get grooming experience and mainly sanitary cut, and omg her but feathers. Her butt feathers always gets in the way when she pees. He started right away with her and definitely took his time to make her feel comfortable. When we picked her up not only did she looked and smelled great, she was calm and happy. They put bows on her ear which is not really Millie's style but so funny and cute. Loved it. Price is great! Will definitely be coming back whenever I am in Florida with my little girl. If I could give Dr McInerney 10 stars I would! She was referred to me by our vet when we knew it would soon be time for our Marlee to cross the rainbow bridge. She was one of the most caring and compassionate people that I've had the chance to meet and she made sure Marlee's passing was gentle and pain free. I can't stress enough how wonderful she was and we're so glad she was by our family's side to guide us through this heartbreaking moment. She also gave us a clipping of Marlee's fur in a cute little heart shaped container and was nice enough to make us two clay paw prints, one for me and one for my son and daughter in law. I know this is one of the hardest decisions to have to make but please don't hesitate on calling Dr Mack. She really helped make this so much easier.
